단면해석법을 이용한 합성형 휨 부재의 재령 종속적 처짐해석 (Concrete Aging-Dependent Deflection Analysis of Flexural Composite Members Using Sectional Analysis Method)

  • 초기재령 콘크리트의 탄성계수 변화와 크리프 및 건조수축 현상을 고려하는 강 합성 거더의 시간종속적 처짐해석을 수행하였다. 초기재령 콘크리트의 탄성계수 발현과정을 고려한 구성관계는 총 응력-변형률 관계를 Taylor의 선형급수 확장을 이용하여 기준시간에 관하여 확장함으로써 시간종속적 증분형태로 유도하였다. 강 박스거더의 단면형상 변화 위치와 지점부를 기준하여 거더를 분할하고 분할된 구간에서 단면해석을 통해 곡률을 구하여 2차 다항식으로 가정한 처짐곡선에 경계조건을 적용함으로써 처짐곡선의 증분관계식을 유도하였다. 부모멘트 구간의 강 박스 하단에 콘크리트를 타설한 이중합성 박스거더의 초기재령 거동해석을 수행하였으며, 강 박스 하단의 콘크리트 타설두께가 거더의 거동에 주는 영향을 수치해석 결과를 통해 분석하였다. 끝으로, 보 요소를 이용한 유한요소해석 결과와 개발된 단면해석법을 이용한 해석 결과를 비교함으로써 정확성을 검증하였다.

  • An analytical method to predict the flexural behavior of composite girder is presented in which the early-age properties of concrete are specified including maturing of elastic modulus, creep and shrinkage. The time dependent constitutive relation accounting for the early-age concrete properties is derived in an incremental format by expanding the total form of stress-strain relation by the first order Taylor series with respect to the reference time. The sectional analysis calculates the axial and curvature strains based on the force and moment equilibriums. The deflection curve of the box girder approximated by the quadratic polynomial function is calculated by applying to the proper boundary conditions in the consecutive segments. Numerical applications are made for the 3-span double composite steel box girders which is a composite bridge girder filled with concrete at the bottom of the steel box in the negative moment region. The one dimensional finite element analysis results are compared with those of the three dimensional finite element analysis and the analytical method based on the sectional analysis. Close agreement is observed among the three methods.

Parametric Analysis and Design Optimization of a Pyrotechnically Actuated Device

  • A parametric study based on an unsteady mathematical model of a pyrotechnically actuated device was performed for design optimization. The model simulates time histories for the chamber pressure, temperature, mass transfer and pin motion. It is validated through a comparison with experimentally measured pressure and pin displacement. Parametric analyses were conducted to observe the detailed effects of the design parameters using a validated performance analysis code. The detailed effects of the design variables on the performance were evaluated using the one-at-a-time (OAT) method, while the scatter plot method was used to evaluate relative sensitivity. Finally, the design optimization was conducted by employing a genetic algorithm (GA). Six major design parameters for the GA were chosen based on the results of the sensitivity analysis. A fitness function was suggested, which included the following targets: minimum explosive mass for the uniform ignition (small deviation), light casing weight, short operational time, allowable pyrotechnic shock force and finally the designated pin kinetic energy. The propellant mass and cross-sectional area were the first and the second most sensitive parameters, which significantly affected the pin's kinetic energy. Even though the peak chamber pressure decreased, the pin kinetic energy maintained its designated value because the widened pin cross-sectional area induced enough force at low pressure.

과전류에 의해 용단된 소선의 특성해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics Analysis of Strands Melted by Over Current)

  • The PVC insulated flexible cords are used mainly as power supply cords of electric appliance. This electric wire is a stranded wire consisted of dozens of strands. In case stranded wires are disconnected by mechanical stress, it weakens electrically. Finally, the over current flows through stranded wires, and electrical fire occurs. In this study, we analyzed the melting properties of strands by over current, such as melting process, melting current and melting time. And we analyzed that quantity of heat for melting, a cross sectional structure, and surface structure by optical microscope and SEM. As analysis results, melting time decreased as melting current increased. And quantity of heat for melting was low, too. From the cross sectional structure of melted wire, when a melting current low and melting time long, it was found that the dendrite structure grew. However, the dendrite structure is hard to grow because growing time is not enough when a melting current high and melting time short.

  • An analysis of the railroad industry for R&D investments has been insufficient whereas there are lots of analysis of accumulation of technology, economic performances and ripple effects for macroscopic view and other industry of R&D investments. This study decided intellectual rights, patent, and paper as common indicators of scientific and technological performances for setting up performance targets through surveying and analysis of preceding study and verified a appropriateness of scientific and technological performances for railroad R&D 11 projects which were successfully finished. Preceding study has been set up performance targets by research investments as input, but this study made a performance target by model through a cross-sectional and residual analysis of performances of railroad R&D 11 Projects in applying research investments, capital investments, inner labor cost and inner labor cost per man and research time as inputs, and verified a validity and a empirical analysis through analysis of other project.

횡단면분석과 추세분석을 이용한 슈퍼컴퓨팅 성능수요 예측 (Supercomputing Performance Demand Forecasting Using Cross-sectional and Time Series Analysis)

  • 국가차원의 슈퍼컴퓨팅 성능수요 예측은 슈퍼컴퓨터를 활용하는 계산과학분야의 연구자나 연구개발 인프라를 구축 운영하고 있는 전문기관, 과학기술 인프라구축을 주도할 정부기관에 있어서 매우 중요한 정보이다. 본 연구는 그동안 진행되었던 슈퍼컴퓨터 성능관련 예측활동 분석을 통해 과학기술 역량에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 도출하고 이를 슈퍼컴퓨터 기술진보 추세에 적용한 복합 예측모형을 제안하였다. 횡단면분석에서는 슈퍼컴퓨팅 성능에 영향을 미칠 것으로 판단되는 GDP, GERD, 연구원수, SCI논문수를 고려한 다중회귀분석을 수행하였다. 그리고 횡단면분석 결과에 Top500 자료의 성능(Rmax)값을 이용한 시계열분석을 통해 도출된 기간별 기술진보율을 곱하여 슈퍼컴퓨터의 성능을 예측하였다. 제안된 예측모형을 바탕으로 세계 슈퍼컴퓨터 500위의 시계열자료를 이용하여 한국이 2016년에 보유해야 할 슈퍼컴퓨터 성능규모를 예측하였다. 횡단면분석과 기술진보율을 적용하여 2016년 한국의 슈퍼컴퓨팅 성능수요를 예측해본 결과 현재의 추세를 이용할 경우 15~30PF 정도, 목표 국가수준의 추세를 이용할 때 20~40PF 정도의 컴퓨팅 역량이 필요할 것으로 예측되었다. 이 결과는 단순 회귀분석을 적용한 결과인 9.6PF와 횡단면분석을 적용한 결과인 2.5PF와 큰 차이를 나타내었다.

가진력과 단면형상 변화에 따른 외팔보 감쇠 진동의 민감도 해석 (Sensitivity Analysis of Dynamic Response by Change in Excitation Force and Cross-sectional Shape for Damped Vibration of Cantilever Beam)

  • This paper describes the time rate of change of dynamic response of a cantilever beam inserted with a damping element, such as bonding, which is excited under a general force at various locations. A sensitivity analysis was performed in a finite element model to show that two types of second-order algebraic governing equations were used to predict the rate of change of dynamic displacement: one is related to the modal coordinate linked to a physical coordinate, and the other to the design parameter of the time rate of change of displacement. The sensitivity differential equation formulation includes more complicated terms compared with that of the undamped cantilever beam. The sensitivities of the dynamic response were observed by changing the location of the excitation force, displacement extraction, and cross-sectional area of the beam. The analytical results obtained by this suggested theory showed a relatively good agreement when compared with those obtained using the commercial finite element program. The suggested analysis procedure enables the prediction of the response sensitivity for any finite element model of the dynamic system.

온도 및 절연체에 따른 케이블의 단선시간 특성 해석 (Fusing Time Characteristics Analysis of Cable according to Temperature and Insulator)

  • This paper describes the fusing time characteristics of Light PVC Sheathed Circular Cord(VCTF) and Tray Frame Retardant(TFR) cables according to increased temperature under over current condition. The experimental equation will be used to determine the validity and reliability of the test results. The over current flowed 3, 5 and 10 times higher than the amount of allowable current using DC power supply with DAQ(Data Acquisition) measurement system. An infrared radiation heater, which was controlled by a variable AC auto transformer, was used to increase the temperature from room temperature to 50, 100 and 150 degrees Celsius. First, two type of cables were analyzed those with different cross-sectional areas with in the same structure and those with different structures with in the same cross-sectional areas. Then, it was determined how fusing time had been influenced according to the cross-sectional areas and different structures, respectively. The cable resistance was increased by joule heating according to increasing temperature. Therefore, the allowable current of cable is decreased. Finally, the fusing time of the cable was decreased due to increased temperatures at current flow, which were 3 times the amount of allowable current. The instantaneous breakdown was observed when current flow was 5 and 10 times over the amount of allowable current. The fusing time is directly affected by the structure of cable insulation.

건강결과와 건강결정요인간의 횡단면 시계열 연구 : 주요 OECD 국가를 대상으로 (Analysis of Health Promotion determinants in Major OECD Countries: A pooled cross-sectional time series)

  • Health promotion policies have needed to assess in detailed and evidence-based work to set a policy goal and clear future directions of health promotion in Korea. To identify the major factors related with health promotion, we assessed the associations between public health outcome (potential years of life loss, PYLL) and national health determinants. For this purpose, we used a pooled cross sectional time-series regression analysis with corrected fixed effect models involving sixteen member countries of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development during the period 1970 to 2001. The PYLL was positively associated with tobacco and alcohol consumption (model 1 and 2) and calories intake (model 2 and 3) while the PYLL was negatively associated with GDP, fruit and vegetable intake (model 2), number of doctors (model 3), coverage rates of health care security, and elderly population rates (model 4). In conclusion, health behaviors related with tobacco, alcohol, and nutrition were significant health determinants for health outcome. Overall analysis results of this study will provide a guidance toward improved macro- and micro-policy development for future health promotion policy in Korea.

통행시간 자료를 이용한 신호시간계획의 결정 방법 (Determination Method of Signal Timing Plan Using Travel Time Data)

  • 본 연구에서는 구간통행시간 정보를 기반으로 하는 신호교차로의 신호시간 산정모형을 개발하였다. 도시교통정보시스템 UTIS와 같이 구간통행시간 정보를 수집할 수 있는 검지체계를 적용하였으며, 결정적 지체모형을 이용하여 통행시간 정보로 부터 포화도 및 수요교통량을 산정하기 위한 모형을 정립하였다. 또한 본 모형은 수요교통량을 이용하여 Webster 모형 기반의 신호최적화를 수행함으로써 교차로 지체를 최소화 시키는 신호시간을 산정할 수 있다. 알고리즘의 효과평가를 위해 VISSIM과 API 도구인 ComInterface를 적용한 미시적 시뮬레이션 분석을 시행하였으며, 이동류의 포화상태를 확인하여 지체 최소화를 위한 신호시간이 산정됨을 확인하였다. 최근 국내 교통관리분야에서는 도시교통정보시스템 UTIS, 첨단교통관리시스템 ATMS와 같아 구간통행시간을 수집할 수 있는 검지체계가 급격히 확산되고 있으며, 본 연구에서는 교통신호운영 분야에서 교통정보시스템을 적용하였다는데 의의가 있겠다.
