  • Balanced Scorecard(BSC) is one of the ways to estimate the achievement results of enterprises which, beyond the simple financial index traditionally used for enterprise achievement result management system, aims to estimate and manage the key perspectives for the future and goal achievement of enterprises as financial perspectives, customer perspectives, internal business perspectives, learning and growth perspectives with a fully consistent and balanced measure, and moreover manage their relationships regarding cause and effect on its basis. Introduction of BSC can be a profound implication for management strategies not only in that its introduction itself has numerous direct effects but also in the way of understanding whether or not its sequential relations exist. Thus this study focused on if the introduction of BSC is effectual, and if there exist any time-lag sequential relations between the effects. The results of the this study indicate that the introduction of BSC has positive effects on the internal business perspectives, learning and growth perspectives, financial perspectives, with the last aspect lasting longer. After dividing perspectives of BSC into leading indicator and lagging indicator, the analysis on if there was some relationships between two indicators was done. As a result, the introduction makes internal process improve first, which has positive effects on financial performance next.

  • A runoff model is estabilished for the direct runoff hydrograph at the watershed outlet. The watershed is divided into subareas bounded by watershed lines of stream segment. Different storage elements are used to represent the subareas which simply translate rain-fall excess to runoff and transmit flow from an upstream areas. For transmit, the relationship between flowsection and runoff is expressed by the exponential function to represent the nonlinearity of lag time, and the relationship between flowsection and stream length is expressed by the 1st order equation to represent the effect of the travel length. The parameters of lag time can be obtained by stream magnitude and the effective rain fall is routed through the main stream. Application of the model to the Bochung river basin gives accurate results, especially for the peak runoff and peak time, and is approved to be used for the prediction by stream magnitude of small watershed having no runoff records.

  • The time paramters most frequently used in hydrology are the tuime of concentration, lag time , time base, time to equilibrium , time to peak, time of travel, and residence time. Especially the time of concentraion constitute an important part of operating rainfall-runoff modeling and determining critical rainfall intensity. In the result of simulation , we discoved that SCS foumula has the highest value with length, Kerby with height and SCS with slop respectively, while only Kraven formula has the lowest value in them. With concerning to relative sensitivty, the time of concentraion was marked the constant effect according to increase of length and slope level, and the length has much more effect than the slope relatively in parameters.

  • An experimental study was performed to investigate the improvement of response performance of a turbocharged diesel engine under the operating conditions of low speed and fast acceleration. In this study, the experiment for improving the low speed and acceleration performance is performed by means of injecting air into the intake manifold of compressor exit during the period of low speed and application of a fast acceleration from low speed. The effects of air injection into the intake manifold on the response performance were investigated at various applicant parameters such as air injection pressure, accelerating rate, accelerating time, engine speed and load. The experimental results show that air injection into the intake manifold at compressor exit is closely related to the improvement of turbocharger lag under low speed and accelerating conditions of a turbocharged diesel engine. During the rapid acceleration period, the air injection into the intake manifold of turbocharged diesel engine indicates the improvement of the combustion characteristics and gas pressure in the cylinder. At low speed range of the engine, the effect of air injection shows the improvement of the pressure distribution of turbocharger and combustion pressure during the period of gas exchange pressure.

  • To overcome the limitations of current evaluation procedures for floor vibration under crowd loading, two kinds of uncertainties associated with individual time lag differences and the complex behavior of crowd should be taken into account. The complex behavior of crowds has yet to be fully described, even though individual differences can be dealt with statistically. This paper proposes time lag considered (TLC) crowd model based on a probabilistic approach. The load reduction factor, which reflects the effect of a general degree of synchronization among crowd, is proposed. Extensive Monte Carlo simulations were carried out to determine various crowd behaviors by using the TLC crowd model proposed. The TLC crowd model can rationally treat the energy loss of various crowd patterns. This indicates that it may be used as a theoretical basis in refining dynamic load factor of crowd loading.

  • In order to study the effect of Korean ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) components on acetic acid fermentation, ginseng extracts, sucrose, total can de saponins were added to the basal niedium respectively and surface culture was carried out at 30$^{\circ}C$. Lag ime, total acidity of the fermentation broth inhibitors and the degrees of inhibition were determined in tile course of fermentation . 1. Acetic acid fermentation was not inhibited by the addition of less than 1.93% of sucrose but the degree of inhibition was increased slightly by the addition of sucrose more than that. 2. Ginseng extract inhibited acetic acid fermentation slightly, and the degree of inhibition was similar to that of sucrose. Lag time was about 72 hours when a 20% of ginseng extract was added to the basal medium while that of the control was 22hours. 3. The free saponins inhibited acetic acid fermentation considerably, and the degree of inhibition of the saponins was about 400 folds of that of ginseng extracts. An increase of total acidity of the broth which contained 2.905% of the saponins was not observed even after one month. 4. It was presumed that some other components except saponins and sucrose in ginseng extracts counter the inbition effect of saponins on acetic acid fermentation

  • Here, in this research we have studied a two dimensional problem in a homogeneous orthotropic magneto-thermoelastic medium with higher order dual-phase-lag heat transfer with combined effects of rotation and hall current in generalized thermoelasticity due to time harmonic sources. As an application the bounding surface is subjected to uniformly distributed and concentrated loads (mechanical and thermal source). Fourier transform technique is used to solve the problem. The expressions for displacement components, stress components and temperature change are derived in frequency domain. Numerical inversion technique has been used to obtain the results in physical domain. The effect of frequency has been depicted with the help of graphs.

  • Understanding of the length of time required to realize the return on the investment of informatization is important for policy makers and decision makers of information system adoption. Previous researchers, however, assessed this issue with the performance measurement approach that was primarily based on static point of view. However, the static analysis on the outcome of the informatization investment is limited in measuring the priori and ex ante effects of the informatization implementation on temporal basis. This study present a methodology to capture the outcome of the informatization investment on dynamic basis. This assessment was performed based on an e-government project in Korea, called "Industry Human Resource Project." Particularly, the study addressed how long it takes to obtain the benefit of WorkNet System, which was part of this Korean e-government project. We proposed various approaches to illustrate the importance and temporal effect of the WorkNet System by analyzing DB data, time reduction of WorkNet business processes and return of investment of IT.

  • A study of the guideway vehicle was made for a comparison of ride stabilities between its two primary steering types; one is the front wheel steering and the other the front-rear wheel. A numerical model as a closed loop system was built for an investigation of various factors to have an influence on the vehicular critical speed which is closely associated with ridabilities. It was shown that dynamics stabilities of the front steering type was much better over a large value of steering gain and the longer distance between front axle and guide link for both types provided better stabilities as well. A large steering gain ratio of the front to the rear significantly plays an important role in an improvement of stability in the front-rear steering. To observe a qualitative trend on stability behaviors, the root locus was obtained by considering a time lag which may be frequently caused by the complicated steering mechanism. In performing so, the appropriate selection of steering gain had a greater effect on the front-rear steering vehicle far more ride comfort. In addition, the dynamics model proposed here can be utilized for a more accurate evaluation on the vehicle design in lateral or yawing absorber and moreover expanded for the analysis of independent four-wheel steering vehicle.
