  • 이 논문은, 선형점탄성체가 과도온도상태에 있을때의 거동을 시간영역 경계요소법에 의해 해석하고 있다. 점탄성체에 대해서 '열유동단순'거동을 가정하였다. 경계요소 공식화과정을 설명한 후, 예제문제에 대한 수치해석 결과를 보여주었다.

  • A diagnosis methodology for thickness quality in hot finishing mill is proposed based on multivariate statistical analysis. The thickness of hot strip is a key quality factor that is measured by x-ray thickness gauge. Currently, the thickness quality is guaranteed by upper and lower limit of thickness deviation from target thickness. But if any over-limit is occurred, there is no in-line method to identify the causes.   • The paper describes the formulation of state matrix equations from the linearized multi-machine power system including network dynamics and the application of IEEE First Benchmark Model. The eigenvalues of IEEE First Benchmark Model are investigated not only by changing the compensation of series capacitance at no-load conditions, but also by varying the generator loading at fixed compensation of capacitance. In addition, the pure electrical self-excited mode is also examined by an eigen analysis and time domain simulation.

  • The stress intensity factor for an interface crack in dissimilar elastic and viscoelastic materials is derived and the time-domain boundary element analysis is performed. Numerical results show that the proposed method is very useful for the analysis of the interface crack in elastic and viscoelastic bimaterials.

  • In this study, a time domain analysis is presented for investigation on the buffeting response of cable-stayed bridge during both erection and completion stages. The main span length and width of deck are 520 m and 15.1m, each. Since the ratio of span over width is 34.44, aerodynamic stability of the bridge during erection is expected to dominate the safety of the bridge in construction stage. Several conclusions regarding different construction stages and temporary wind cables are obtained.

  • Steady-state natural convection heat transfer characteristics from cylinders in a multiply-connected bounded region are clarified. A spectral finite difference scheme (spectral decomposition of the system of partial differential equations, semi-implicit time integration) is applied in numerical analysis, with a boundary-fitted conformal coordinate system through a Jacobian elliptic function with a successive transformation to formulate a system of governing equations in terms of a stream function, vorticity and temperature. Multiplicity of the domain is expressed explicitly.

  • A discrete time domain modeling for the current-mode-controlled buck LED driver is presented in this paper. Based on the modeling result, a root locus analysis for the buck LED driver with slope compensation is done to derive the stability boundaries of feedback gains.

  • With the increasing possibility of earthquake occurrence, seismic safety of bridges has become one of the most important social issues in Korea. In this study, a nonlinear earthquake response analysis is carried out for a real bridge by incorporating soil-structure interaction and pier nonlinearity. The material nonlinearity of the bridge pier is realized by utilizing SAP2000 whereas the soil-structure interaction is analized in time domain by adapting KIESSI. The numerical results are compared to those of the models without considering the effects.

  • In recent years, ultrasonic has been widely applied in measurement and industrial fields and its application range has been expanded as a result of continuous research and development. Wire Bonding Machine, an instrument fabricating semi-conductor, makes use of ultrasonic bonding method. Specially, the method utilizes the longitudinal vibration of ultrasonic transducer composed of piezoelectric vibrator and horn. This work investigates the design conditions affecting the dynamic characteristics through the theretical and experimental analysis. It conducts separately the system identification of piezoelectric vibrator in time domain and the modal analysis of horn in frequency domain. The integrated modeling is conducted via a combbination of dynamic identification of piezoelectric vibrator and theroretical analysis of horn. Then comparison is made for theroretical and experimental results of the dynamic characteristics of the ultrasonic transducer comprised of piezoelectric vibrator and horn. Form the results of the comparison we develop the design technique of ultrasonic transducer using dynamic characteristics analysis and propose the possibility of ultrasonic bonding considering the optimal conditions for the longitudinal vibration of ultrasonic transducer and other conditions.
