Social media in the press is often described as a future oriented and pioneering image. These press reports have played an important role in the proliferation of social media. This paper investigates social implications of social media discourse through the analysis of the press's reports. As a result, social media in the press was described as wave of an irresistible social changes. Corporations, governments, politicians and even the general public were reported to have shown a positive attitude towards using social media. It means that people accept disciplinaire needed for the time for progress toward a new future.

Numerical prediction of dynamic behavior of fully coupled saturated porous media is of great importance in many engineering problems. Specifically, static and dynamic response of soils - porous media with pores filled with fluid, such as air, water, etc. - can only be modeled properly using fully coupled approaches. Modeling and simulation of static and dynamic behavior of soils require significant Verification and Validation (V&V) procedures in order to build credibility and increase confidence in numerical results. By definition, Verification is essentially a mathematics issue and it provides evidence that the model is solved correctly, while Validation, being a physics issue, provides evidence that the right model is solved. This paper focuses on Verification procedure for fully coupled modeling and simulation of porous media. Therefore, a complete Solution Verification suite has been developed consisting of analytical solutions for both static and dynamic problems of porous media, in time domain. Verification for fully coupled modeling and simulation of porous media has been performed through comparison of the numerical solutions with the analytical ones. Modeling and simulation is based on the so called, u-p-U formulation. Of particular interest are numerical dispersion effects which determine the level of numerical accuracy. These effects are investigated in detail, in an effort to suggest a compromise between numerical error and computational cost.

The reality is that forms and roles of media is changing as our society goes forward fast. There aren't any other noticeable media forms than one man media UCC(User Created Contents). Not only almost all of the house hold a camera at least one, but people can take a picture by using their mobile phone. Furthermore, people can produce a movie through taken pictures in this time. That is the beginning of UCC. It is possible to make use of private life, company, society, advertisement, shopping mall, and so on.
Three experiments were carried out in order to determine whether users have longer using time, better recall of product information, and flow in an aesthetically appealing product (media player) in products offering good usability. For the experiment, fourteen emotional words were employed which were made up of 8 aesthetic and 6 usability words. In a preliminary experiment, the subjects freely used three media players and selected emotional words by a 7-point likert scale to distinguish a group of similar usability value and another group contrary to the other in aesthetic and usability value. (N=18) In the main experiment, it was hypothesized that users use more and have more flow and recalled information in the case of the aesthetically appealing product. Therefore, in the main experiment, we measured how much time subjects spent using the product and asked them to make an assumption regarding the time spent by the group that has the same usability value. We then examined the time they spent and the gap between the actual and estimated time. We also calculated the amount of menu information recalled via a questionnaire. In the last experiment, we selected the group of products contrary to each other in aesthetic and usability value and assessed the differences in using time, recall of product information, and flow. (N=18) The empirical results provide evidence that aesthetically appealing products are associated with greater flow and recall of product information than other products, thus supporting the hypothesis. In addition, it was found that there is a positive correlation between the aesthetically appealing product and flow index as well as with recalled information.

The purpose of this study was to identify characteristics and consumer attitude on purchasing apparel through Cable TV home-shopping. The questionnaire was administered to 4y5 May through September in 1996 and the data were analyzed by using frequency, factor analysis, crosstab, 1-test, ANOVA, MANOVA, scheffe with utilizing SPSS/PC+ The results of this study were as follows: 1. The most favorite media in purchasing apparel through home-shopping was Cable TV in all over ages except 50's. Women showed Cable TV the most interested, whereas men showed printed media and computer on-line shopping as home shopping media. 2. Home-shopping favor in region' was higher than that of Seoul. In the degree of favor, college students showed the highest, followed by part time employees, housewives and full time employees. Those who lived individual houses in other than Seoul area showed higher purchasing intention. 3. Sweater item was shown as the highest purchasing interested item and coat/business suit items were shown as lower among 10 different apparel items. 4. Five dimensions of Perceived benefits of apparel purchasing through Cable TV were derived by factor analysis such as variety of merchandise information, purchase convenience, efficiency, saving time, and convenience of physical inactivity. The convenience of physical inactivity showed the most important benefit through Cable TV home-shopping. Perceived risk of apparel purchasing through Cable TV was factor analyzed as merchandise related risk, size and appearance related risk, delivery related risk, TV watching related risk, and unplanned purchasing related risk. The sixte and appearance related risk was shown as the highest risk.
Objective: The purpose of the present study was to examine the changes in the body perception of young children using a short-term longitudinal design, then to investigate the factors related to their body perception. Methods: Participants were 65 preschool children and their mothers that were recruited from five institutions. An 11-month, two-time point longitudinal design was used in which children were interviewed individually to examine the changes in body perception. At the second time point, children were assessed with an additional measure to investigate self-esteem, and their mothers also reported on maternal factors and children's media experience through a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by paired t-test, independent t-test, correlations and ANOVA. Results: The results showed a significant decline of children's negative body perception over time. Children's media experience was positively correlated with negative body perception. Mothers whose children showed higher body mass index (BMI) sent more verbal messages about their child's weight reduction. In addition, children's negative body perception was positively correlated with physical self-esteem. Finally, there was a significant difference in only the physical self-esteem according to the level of children's body perception. Conclusion/Implications: The findings would suggest theoretical and practical implications to support intervention and education programs to improve the body image of young children.
Web presence is one of the key issues for extensive deployment of Internet-of-Things (IoT). An obstacle to overcome for Web presence is relatively low computing power of IoT devices. In this paper, we present implementation of an IoT platform based on Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) which is a web transfer protocol proposed by Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) for the low performance IoT devices such as Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) nodes and micro-controllers. To qualify the performance of CoAP-based IoT system for such an application as smart grid, we designed a test platform consisting of Raspberry Pi2, Kmote WSN node and a desktop PC. Using open source softwares, CoAP was implemented on top of the platform. Leveraging the GET command defined at CoAP specification, performance of the system was measured in terms of round-trip time (RTT) from web application to the Kmote sensor node. To investigate abnormal cases among the test results, hop-by-hop delays were measured to analyze resulting data. The average response time of CoAP-based communication except the abnormal data was reduced by 23% smaller than the previous research result.
The most noticeable aspect of progressive streaming is the media playback during its download through TCP to avoid a lengthy wait for a content to finish downloading. By employing TCP, it is usually possible to detect lost packets by using the checksum and sequence numbering functions of TCP Thereafter, we can recover the lost packets by the retransmission function of TCP. However, there must remain enough amount of media data in the recipient buffer in order to guarantee seamless media playback even during retransmission. In this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm for determining the initial buffering time before start of playback to guarantee seamless playback during retransmission considering the probability of client buffer under-flow. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm will be proved through extensive simulation results.

Due to a recent advance on the internet access technologies such as ADSL and ISDN, ti becomes possible to watch movies or listen to music at home through the internet. In this paper, we propose Implementation technique and expenence we lcarnet in the development of media plavers operating on Q+ reall-time operating system. The media player can manipulate MPS, MPEG-1, and MPEG-4 streams, and the decofing routime is implemented by software. Ths medial player is operated on the digital TV set-top-box and is implomented by using Q+ librares. In this paper, we focus on programming technique on q+ real-time operating system and performance enhancement technique.
When most patients are diagnosed with the quiet progressed hepatoma which often would make the operation impossible, the Interventional Radiology hepatic artery embolization is an extremely useful method for such patients. An existence of the malfunction is evaluated by gaining a portal vein image as a delayed phase image after injecting a contrast media into the superior mesenteric artery. However, it is difficult to make a definite judgement due to the extended exposure time with the peristalsis and the intestine gas obstructing the sharpness of the image when the Patient exposure time increases and due to the increased usage of contrast media and its side effect. The portal vein can be evaluated by obtaining the MIP image after reconstructing a 3-dimensional personal computer setting using the 2-dimensional from an enhancement abdomen CT image that is almost a requisite in operation to a hepatoma patient. Such method nay prevent a decrease in the quality of image based upon the time delay and intestine gas; also, because the patient exposure dose and contrast media usage may be reduced, it is a new, valuable way to decide the operational matter of hepatic artery embolization on a pre-angiography.
