The purpose of this study was to find out the general characteristics of school health teachers, the status of school health resources and the degrees of self-confident performance for the 124 school health teachers in Pusan City. Data was collected by means of questionaires from Aug. 1986 to Mar. 1987. The data were analyzed by use of percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson-correlation coefficient. The results of this study were as follows: 1 . General Characteristics of School Health Teachers (SHT) 1) The average of age of the SHT was 32.8 years old and 39.5% of them were from 30 to 34 years old. 2) The average for school nursing experience of the SHT was 7.9 years and 37.9% of them were from 5 to 9 years. 3) The 45.2% of them have not the clinical experience. 4) The 74.2% of them were graduated from the 3 years college of nursing. 2. Status of school health resources and nursing activities. 1) The average of student number was 2497.3 and class number was 45.2. 2) The average of school health budget was 1039000 won and 27.7% of school health budget expended on examination cost. 3) Only 29.0% of all schools have organization for school health. 4) The 84.7% of all schools have health clinic separately and 69.1% of schools have less than $33m^2$ sized. 5) The average of clinic visitor number was 2111.8 for 1 year. 6) Major problem was on digestive system. And other problems were skin, respiratory, musculo-skeletal system and dental problem. 7) The number of literal message was 14.4 times for 1 year. 3. The degree of the school health teachers' self-confidence. The purpose of industry-education cooperation field training is improving students' abilities & skills by working at industrial companies and experiencing how to apply their school knowledge to a real work for some period of time. The followings are recommendable ways of industry-education cooperation field training management to improve the students' adaptability of industrial companies with the most effectiveness (1) Prior to everything, setting the industry-education cooperation field training program to have extreme efficient and managing it with exhaustiveness & intensiveness is necessary. (2) Before sending students to industrial companies for education, the committee must make an inspection of industrial companies to decide whether they have the fine educational value. (3) To assign eve student to proper industrial companies, school authorities must survey the aptitude, desire and ability of each students and peculiarities of each industrial companies. (4) Figure out a way to increase the students' adaptability with a highest degree. (5) To help the employment of students who finished the industry-education cooperation field training with on admirable record, the committee must discuss that matter with industrial companies & students.

The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of socio-demographic variables on time management and to investigate the effects of time management on self-efficacy and academic achievement in college students. The data were collected from 382 college students through questionnaire surveys and analyzed using frequency, percentile, and regression analysis with the SPSS program. College students' time management behavior was influenced by the social status of their families and by their participation in time management education. There were differences in variables affecting time management according to its sub-areas (planning, regular habits, and goal-oriented behavior). Planning was influenced by the students' majors and by their participation in time management education. Regular habits were influenced by the students' genders and their families' social status. No variables affected goal-oriented behavior. Time management (especially planning and goal-oriented behavior) and gender had strong effects on self-efficacy, and male students showed more self-efficacious behavior than their female counterparts. Time management (especially planning and regular habits) and gender had strong effects on academic achievement, and female students received higher academic grades than their male counterparts. Based on these results, time management was confirmed as an influential element in self-efficacy and academic achievement. Planning and goal-oriented behavior particularly influenced self-efficacy, and planning and regular habits particularly influenced academic achievement.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the asthma management educational program given to the allergic asthmatics receiving immunotherapy due to house dust mite on the disease related to knowledge, stress, and self-efficacy. Method: The subjects of this study were the patients received immunotherapy to house dust mite at a week interval after being diagnosed for house dust mite allergic asthma at the respiratory center of a hospital affiliated to the university. They were divided into the experimental group of 29 patients who received asthma management education, the control group of 32 patients, and 61 patients in total. Experimental treatment, as an asthma management educational program, was the group education of one time and the reinforcement education of three times with environmental therapy and immunotherapy to house dust mite. Results: The results revealed that the improvement in disease related knowledge, the improvement in self-efficacy and the decrease in stress, were significantly higher in the experimental group than the control group. Conclusions: The asthma management educational program had an effect on improving the disease related knowledge and self-efficacy, and decreasing the stress of the patients asthmatics allergic to house dust mite.

This study was conducted to grasp the progress of the health management program in small scale industries with phenomenological approach. The industrial health care system compose of manpower, devices, and facilities such as medical resources, organization, service delivery system, financial resources, payments, and management system is important for the industrial health. Especially health management program should be provided feasible conditions to workers. The data collection period was 2 months from September 1 to October 30, 1997. The indepth interview results for health monitor, labors, and occupational health nurses were analyzed by Giorgis' phenomenological method. The major results were as follows: 1. The workers, health monitors and nurses felt that the subsidiary program of health management in small scale industries were necessary. This project for small-size industry can be set-up through complementary education for health monitors and resolvement of nurses' six suggestions. It is necessary to provide followings ; 1) Properly devision of industry 2) More clear guidance for health management at visiting time 3) Legitimate incentive system 4) Health education materials and devices 5) Change of fee and material payments at visiting 6) Budgets and system for medication and vaccination at visiting 2. Above all, it is suggested that the strategics of the health management program should be developed.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the short term education and reinforcement program to health promotion in women in mid-life. This study has been done between February and April, 2004 and the subjects of the study were 26 women in mid-life. The treatment intervention was applied during total 8 weeks as 5 days for the short term education and 7 weeks for reinforcement with 1 time per a week. The short term education included health education for menopause, effect of exercise, healthy diet, management of stress and management of chronic illness and stretching exercise and recreation. The collected data were processed using the SPSS Win(12.0) program and analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The result of this study are as follows : 1. The short term education and reinforcement program significantly effected on the total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, triglyceride. 2. The short term education and reinforcement program significantly effected on the anxiety, but not depression. 3. The short term education and reinforcement program non significantly effected on the sleep disturbance and self-efficacy of exercise. 4. The short term education and reinforcement program significantly effected on the practice of healthy life. In conclusion, the short term education and reinforcement program effected on the physical health index, anxiety and practice of healthy life.

Purpose: The objectives of this research are to verify the development and effectiveness of a nursing student emotional competency promotion program that is important in professional nursing strategies for strengthening the psychological well-being of patients. Methods: This research was done by developing an emotional competency promotion program for nursing students according to the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation (ADDIE) model. Apply the program to students and evaluate their effects on their self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management and self-efficacy using a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this research were 48 nursing students enrolled in the department of nursing of D College; 24 students were placed in the experimental group and 24 students were in the control group. The experimental group participated in the developed program from December 18, 2017 to January 12, 2018, for a total of 8 sessions. Each session was 120 minutes long. For data collection, a pretest, posttest 1 and 2 were performed using an independent t-test and repeated measure ANOVA using SPSS/WIN 22.0. Results: The experimental group who participated in the emotional competency promotion program showed higher self awareness (F=5.65, p=.005), self management (F=11.12, p<.001), social awareness (F=5.02, p=.009), relationship management (F=11.22, p<.001) and self-efficacy (F=14.24, p<.001) than the control group. These results were supported by a statistically meaningful difference in the time period and the interaction between the time period and the two groups. Conclusion: The study's findings indicate that the emotional competency promotion program developed through this study is effective at increasing the self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management and self-efficacy of nursing students.
The purposes of this study were to investigate problems related to quality of life and to identify residents needs for the university educational program for the community residents. The data were analyzed by using $x^2$-test, F-test and multiple range test. Findings of this study provided some useful implications to develop educational programs for community people. These implications are as follows. In the aspect of home management, the need for education about time management was relatively high and the degree of time conflicts was varied to family size, educational level of house, housewife's employment status and outside work time. In the program area of economic life, education for enhancing ability to cope with unexpected events and impulsive consumption behavior, and education for money management technique and value clarification should be included. There were significant differences in the parents' role difficulties according to mother's age and income. Especially parents' role difficulties were children's social emotional development and educational activity. The major problems in management of clothing and textile products were the change of textile sensation, the poor quality of necessaries, and discoloration. This result suggests that education programs on management of clothing and textiles should be developed. In health and food management it showed that subjects were afraid of cancer, hypertension, cerebral vascular diseases in relation with food habits. Hence program of education for health and good food habits should be developed.
