  • As the ticket issuing methods have been diversified for the convenience of the passengers such as ticketless service(SMS ticket, e-ticket, home ticket), automatic ticket issuing machine and consignment ticket sale, maintaining the current number of ticket booth has been becoming a issue. Too many booth can cause the inefficiency of the cost of labor. According to the Charter of Customer Service of Korail, on the other hand, 95% of passengers have to purchase a train ticket within 5 minutes. This study was designed to present a decision making model for the optimum number of ticket booth which can affect an efficient operation of train station and improvement of customer convenience. And, this paper shows the proper manpower of ticket booth and the change of customer waiting time by analyzing the arrival and ticket issuing time of passengers based on 'Queueing Theory'. However, it is insufficient to be generalized due to some limitations of analysis. This study will contribute to improve customer satisfaction by reducing the waiting time at the ticket booth. In addition, presenting the optimum number of booth is expected to have an effect on the increase of productivity and cost savings.

  • This study has tried to suggest a new model that can effectively redistribute the tickets in the online ticket resale market, while suggesting a new allocation mechanism based on an agent negotiation. To this end, this study has analyzed and simulated the secondary ticket market through System dynamics. As a result of these simulations, it has been proved that the price stability of ticket resale market leads to an increase in revenue. An agent negotiation helps to stabilize the ticket prices that are usually inclined to rise at auction, benefiting all the participants in the negotiations, consequently showing a Pareto solution.

  • This study has tried to suggest a new model that can effectively redistribute the tickets in the online ticket resale market, while suggesting a new allocation mechanism based on an agent negotiation. To this end, this study has analyzed an auction in the online ticket resale market through Game theory. As a result of new agent mechanism, it has been proved that the price stability of ticket resale market leads to an increase. An agent negotiation helps to stabilize the ticket prices that are usually inclined to rise at auction, benefiting all the participants in the negotiations, consequently showing a Pareto solution. Especially, a framework for a negotiation process is suggested and domain and processes ontology are designed interrelatedly. With this modeling, a possibility of Ontology based agent negotiation is suggested.

Research design, data and methodology: A research model was established based on previous studies, and data were collected from consumers with experience in the airline ticket purchasing platform. 175 valid samples were used and analyzed using SEM. Results: Characteristics of the ticket purchase platform were classified into sub-factors of accessibility, functionality and information reliability through theoretical consideration. The established hypotheses for the research were partially accepted. Conclusions: First, functionality and information reliability were found to have significant positive effects on perceived ease of use, while accessibility did not have such effect. Second, accessibility did not affect the perceived usefulness, and both functionality and information reliability had a significant positive effect on perceived usefulness. Third, it was found that the perceived ease of use had a positive effect on perceived usefulness. Finally, it was found that perceived ease of use did not affect e-loyalty of the ticket purchasing platform, only perceived usefulness affected e-loyalty. This study had important academic and practical implications in the context of air ticket distribution.

  • Since July 1st of 2004, a transit fare system of Seoul metropolitan area has been changed. The distinguished characteristics of the system can be described as two issues that can be summarized by distance based fare for Seoul metropolitan area and fare discount between bus and transit in Seoul city area. In Seoul city area, some existing subway users, however, complained the raised fare compared to previous fare system. An alternative, season ticket was introduced by Seoul local government in July 15th of 2004. Due to the ticket, even though periodic subway users could reduce average subway costs, the benefit of the season ticket was very limited to subway users in Seoul city area. Therefore, this study proposes a methodology to enlarge the benefit of the existing season ticket in Seoul metropolitan area.

  • Many emerging mobile ad-hoc network application communications are group-oriented. Multicast supports group-oriented applications efficiently, particularly in a mobile environment that has a limited bandwidth and limited power. Energy effectiveness along with safety are 2 key problem in MANET design. Within this paper, MANET is presented with a stable, energy-efficient clustering technique. In this proposed work advanced clustering in the networks with ticket ID cluster manager (TID-CMGR) has formed in MANET. The proposed routing scheme makes secure networking the shortest route possible. In this article, we propose a Cluster manager approach based on TICKET-ID to address energy consumption issues and reduce CH workload. TID-CMGR includes two mechanism including ticket ID controller, ticketing pool, route planning and other components. The CA (cluster agent) shall control and supervise the functions of nodes and inform to TID-CMGR. The CH conducts and transfers packets to the network nodes. As the CH energy level is depleted, CA elects the corresponding node with elevated energy values, and all new and old operations are simultaneously stored by CA at this time. A simulation trial for 20 to 100 nodes was performed to show the proposed scheme performance. The suggested approach is used to do experimental work using the NS- simulator. TIDCMGR is compared with TID BRM and PSO to calculate the utility of the work proposed. The assessment shows that the proposed TICKET-ID scheme achieves 90 percent more than other current systems.

  • Recently, LEE et al. proposed an attribute-based authenticated key agreement protocol over home network, which aimed to support authentication and key agreement between user and home server. However, if the home server is attacked in the protocol, the effects are influenced to the overall home network components severly. Thereby, this paper proposes a new ticket-based authentication protocol using user attributes between user and home devices to solve the problem. The proposed protocol supports the various levels of security to user by diversifying the network accessibility depending on user attribute. Thereby, the protocol could support more secure home network services.

  • The metropolitan area needs to control the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) and transportation card system in order to implement an efficient railway and subway. This paper introduces a suitable analysis to take advantage of the systematic method of the AFC and transportation card. These systems should consider the fare system, transportation pass and AFC equipment, which are organized with the Automatic Ticket Vending Machine, the Ticket Office Machine and the Card System of Radio Frequency (RF). However, the organization includes the fact the Automatic Ticket Vending Machine has a problem with the proceeding speed of passengers and inconvenience. Second, the majority of passengers have not utilized the Ticket Office Machine. Also, it should consider whether the transportation card is the proper system in the metropolitan area. Based on the analysis of national and international cases, it suggests that the AFC should make more improvements in the metropolitan area railway and subway.
