리니어 타입 크로스 롤러 가이드 공압 액추에이터의 신뢰성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reliability Analysis for a Linear Type Pneumatic Actuator with Cross Roller Guide)

  • This research presents the performance analysis of the linear type pneumatic actuators that are used in semi-conductor assembly line to transfer some product with high accuracy. To increase positioning and repetitive accuracies, a cross roller guide is implemented inside the pneumatic actuator. The finite element method is used to verify the force against working moments, and reliability analysis is performed to classify the breakdown cases. Also, reliability, failure rate, probability density function, and $B_{10}$ to life are estimated under the boundary of thrust or air leakage conditions. In this study, the failure probabilistic function of the pneumatic actuators is analyzed using Weibull distribution.

  • This paper presents the characteristic analysis method of PMLSM based on the Space Harmonic Analysis method considering the effect of stator slots. The magnetic field for unslotted primary can be easily calculated by the conventional space harmonic analysis method and the resultant magnetic field including slot effect is obtained using the concept of the virtual Equivalent Magnetizing Current(EMC) on primary core. And the influence of space harmonics in airgap flux density and static thrust due to slots is evaluated. In this paper, the results of the analytical method are compared with not only the experimental ones but ones of FEM to verify the validity of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, a synchronous permanent magnet planar motor (SPMPM) with Halbach array is proposed for its performance improvement. The magnetization and flux density distribution are obtained by magnet scalar potential; the characteristics such as back-EMF and thrust are evaluated. It can be concluded that the analysis of SPMPM with Halbach magnet array is credible and feasible.

  • This paper presents a moving-magnet type linear actuator designed by using flux concentration type permanent magnet arrangement, which can generate higher magnetic flux density in air-gap. In this construction, detent force which is induced by both slot-effect and end-effect becomes larger due to strong attractive forces. To reduce cogging force we have employed a modular mover structure of two magnetic pole sections connected with a center yoke. The improved motor performance is demonstrated with the prototype machine.

  • In the paper, we present the design procedure and analysis the fundamental characteristics for Linear DC Motor(LDM) using permeance method and finite element method (FEM). Designed LDM is made of two permanent magnets, three iron core and armature windings. For the design of the LDM, first of all it is necessary to calculate the air gap flux density and thrust force, after that to determine core size, the numbers of winding turns, winding width, etc. To demonstrate the method of caculation yields the right results, we used Maxwell program package for computing magnetic fields. Finally we find that the proposed design procedure in this paper is effective to design of LDM.

  • Aerothermodynamic flowfields of aircraft engine nozzles are computationally investigated at various flight conditions for infrared signature analysis. A mission profile of subsonic unmanned combat aerial vehicle is considered for the case study and associated engine and nozzles are selected through a performance analysis. Computational results of nozzle and plume flowfields using a density-based CFD code are analyzed in terms of thrust, maximum temperature, length and optical thickness of plume. It is shown that maximum temperature, length, and optical thickness of nozzle plume increase for lower altitude and higher Mach number.

  • This paper proposes a tow-dimensional magnetic flux distribution analysis of the double-sided linear induction motor(DLIM). Both the longitudinal end-effect and the transverse edge-effect, which are due to the finite length and width of the primary stator, are considered. Also each force which is due to the variation of slip frequency was computed to show the fact that the thrust force of DLIM is dependent on both the longitudinal end-effect and the transverse edge-effect. To ascertain the propriety of this analysis, the simulated results of the magnetic flux density distribution in the airgap are compared to the experimental data.

  • This paper deals with design parameters deduction and analysis of hybrid magnetic bearing. Using the solutions obtained from equivalent magnetic circuit, we predict the electromagnetic characteristics from permanent magnet and electromagnet and obtain the initial parameters. And then, using non-linear finite element analysis, a detailed design is performed considering saturation and asymmetry of flux density at the surface in order to meet requirements.

  • The rotating electrodynamic wheel over a conductive plate produces thrust force as well as normal force. Specially, separating the conductive plate and spacing apart each part, the lateral stability of the rotating wheel is guaranteed due to the restoring force into neutral position. In this paper, the force characteristics of the electrodynamic wheel rotating over the conductive plate is analyzed using the finite element tool. First, the dominant parameters are identified considering the geometric configuration and the operating condition. And the sensitivity for the parameter deviation is quantified for the high force density. The above topology can be applied as an actuating principle for inter-city train as well as contact-free transfer device.
