  • Recently a new multi-attribute analysis method is one of the evident areas of important points in the decision support system analysis. The area of decision support system may be broken into three primary area: idea generation, multi-attribute structured analysis method, and the integration of the results of analysis. This research developed an internet/intranet-based solution builder for a three-step decision support system in the view of 1) brainstorming for the idea generation, 2) analytic hierarchy process as a multi-attribute structured analysis method and 3) aggregating logic model to integrate the results of individual analysis. A computer program is developed and demonstrated in internet/intranet-based decision problem. This solution builder provides decision makers a good tool for remote group decision making.

  • Escherichia coli transcription termination factor Rho catalyzes the unwinding of RNA/DNA duplex in reactions that are coupled to ATP binding and hydrolysis. We report here the kinetic mechanism of presteady state ATP binding and hydrolysis by the Rho-RNA complex. Presteady state chemical quenched-flow technique under multiple turnover condition was used to probe the kinetics of ATP binding and hydrolysis by the Rho-RNA complex. The quenched-flow presteady state kinetics of ATP hydrolysis studies show that three ATPs are bound to the Rho-RNA complex with a rate of $4.4\;{\times}\;10^5M^{-1}s^{-1}$, which are subsequently hydrolyzed at a rate of $88s^{-1}$ and released during the initiation process. Global fit of the presteady state ATP hydrolysis kinetic data suggests that a rapid-equilibrium binding of ATP to Rho-RNA complex occurs prior to the first turnover and the chemistry step is not reversible. The initial burst of three ATPs hydrolysis was proposed to be involved in the initialization step that accompanies proper complex formation of Rho-RNA. Based on these results a kinetic model for initiation process for Rho-RNA complex was proposed relating the mechanism of ATP binding and hydrolysis by Rho to the structural transitions of Rho-RNA complex to reach the steady state phase, which is implicated during translocation along the RNA.

  • This paper investigated into process characteristics of AlTiN coated layers for machining to the direction of upper and lower in plastic mold material (KP-4) with the cemented carbide ball endmill with the diameter of 8mm coated AlTiN layers (1~4) step by step using machining center. The material used in experiments was KP-4 that was machined by three types of inclined angles; $15^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$ and $45^{\circ}$ As estimated mechanical properties of AlTiN coated layers, it was shown the most result in the condition of three layered coating that the coating that the coating depth, the hardness of the coated layer and the surface roughness of the coated layer were $13{\mu}m$, Hv 3027.3 and $0.042{\mu}m$, respectively. The cutting component was better at the condition of upper direction than that of lower direction in all experimental conditions and indicated to be less which the bigger angle of the material was increased the effective diameter of the tool.

  • Radiologic images in dentistry are essential to perform the diagnosis, treatment, and tracking process of prognosis, thus the ability of accurate evaluation in the diagnostic images is requested for dental clinician. Radiologic interpretation means recognition of a normality and an abnormality and to report the possible diagnosis and differential diagnosis list. Therefore, dental clinicians should be familiar with the basic principle of interpretation of intraoral and extraoral radiographic images primarily used in dental clinics. Recently, dental cone beam CT is widely used for diagnositc process, thus understanding the three dimensional images is requested. The objective of this manuscript is to help the dental clinicians to interpret accurately the diagnostic images by introducing the basic principles of the step by step analytic process in the appearance of a lesion.

  • We present a simple, cost-effective, and fast fabrication process for three-dimensional (3D) microstructures; this process is based on multi-step electrochemical etching of metal foils which facilitates the mass production of 3D microstructures. Compared to electroplating, this process maintains uniform and well-controlled material properties of the microstructure. In the experimental study, we perform single-step electrochemical etching of aluminum foils for the fabrication of 2D cantilever arrays. In the single-step etching, the depth etch rate and bias etch rate are measured as $1.50{\pm}0.10 {\mu}m/min$ and $0.77{\pm}0.03 {\mu}m/min$, respectively. Using the results of single-step etching, we perform two-step electrochemical etching for 3D microstructures with probe tips on cantilevers. The errors in height and lateral fabrication in the case of the fabricated structures are $15.5{\pm}5.8% $ and $3.3{\pm}0.9%$, respectively; the surface roughness is $37.4{\pm}9.6nm$.

  • Leisure constraints mean the factor to constrain individual's leisure activity. Leisure constraints are composed of interpersonal constraints, interpersonal constraints and structural constraints. The purposes of this study are to show that intrapersonal leisure constraints have a strong effect on leisure preference, and leisure constraints are sequential and hierachical process. Intrapersonal constraints effect on leisure constraints in first step. And then interpersonal constraints and structural constraints effect on leisure participation. Those three leisure constraints are all linked together and come out step by step. Regarding adults as a population, who are more than 20-year-old and live in Seoul, 9 dongs were chose after dividing into upper and lower classes according to the value of their residence. The questionnaire consists of 4 parts: intrapersonal constraints, interpersonal constraints, structural constraints, and demographic characteristics. Results of this paper is that people who have strong intrapersonal constraints normally have problems caused from social structure. Intrapersonal constraints and structural constrains come out not seperately but together. Then, it can be said that structural constraints have an influence over intrapersonal constraints. So, it's necessary to solve structural problems to increase preferences and participations of them.

  • After establishment of Records Act in 1999, we issued the all-out revision Act because of too much changing of records management environment. Even though the new Records Act has much reformed clauses, classified records management itself is not much improved. Under this present situation, this study analyze both Records Act and related Act to get an improved plan which would be applied at Records Center. Simultaneously, the case study of National Archives of Korea's ISP and Army Archives' can be useful research data. Finally, the study suggest that an improvement plan of classified records management process which is consist of three sub-process that are 'transfer step'-'retention and management step'-'service step'.

  • Injection molding is a process widely used in various industries because of its high production speed and ease of mass production during the plastic manufacturing process, and the product is molded by injecting molten plastic into the mold at high speed and pressure. Since process conditions such as resin and mold temperature mutually affect the process and the quality of the molded product, it is difficult to accurately predict quality through mathematical or statistical methods. Recently, studies to predict the quality of injection molded products by applying artificial neural networks, which are known to be very useful for analyzing nonlinear types of problems, are actively underway. In this study, structural optimization of neural networks was conducted by applying multi-task learning techniques according to the characteristics of the input and output parameters of the artificial neural network. A structure reflecting the characteristics of each process step was applied to the input parameters, and a structure reflecting the quality characteristics of the injection molded part was applied to the output parameters using multi-tasking learning. Building an artificial neural network to predict the three qualities (mass, diameter, height) of injection-molded product under six process conditions (melt temperature, mold temperature, injection speed, packing pressure, pacing time, cooling time) and comparing its performance with the existing neural network, we observed enhancements in prediction accuracy for mass, diameter, and height by approximately 69.38%, 24.87%, and 39.87%, respectively.

  • We have developed an InAlAs/InGaAs metamorphic high electron mobility transistor device fabrication process where the gate length can be tuned within the range of 0.13㎛-0.16㎛ to suit the intended application. The core processes are a two-step electron-beam lithography process using a three-layer resist and gate recess etching process using citric acid. An electron-beam lithography process was developed to fabricate a T-shaped gate electrode with a fine gate foot and a relatively large gate head. This was realized through the use of three-layered resist and two-step electron beam exposure and development. Citric acid-based gate recess etching is a wet etching, so it is very important to secure etching uniformity and process reproducibility. The device layout was designed by considering the electrochemical reaction involved in recess etching, and a reproducible gate recess etching process was developed by finding optimized etching conditions. Using the developed gate electrode process technology, we were able to successfully manufacture various monolithic microwave integrated circuits, including low noise amplifiers that can be used in the 28 GHz to 94 GHz frequency range.
