Rapid Prototyping(RP) technologies provide the ability to fabricate initial prototypes from various model materials. Stratasys' Fused Deposition Modeling(FDM) is a typical RP process that can fabricate prototypes out of plastic materials, and the parts made from FDM were often used as load-carrying elements. Because FDM deposits materials in about 300$\mu$m thin filament with designated orientation, parts made from FDM show anisotropic material properties. In this paper an analytic model was proposed to predict the tensile strength of FDM parts. Applying the Classical Lamination Theory, which was developed for laminated composite materials, a computer code was implemented. Tsai-Wu failure criterion was added to the code to predict the failure of the FDM parts. The tensile strengths predicted by the analytic model were compared with experimental data. The data and prediction agreed reasonably well to prove the validity of the model. In addition, a web-based advisory service(FDMAS) was developed to provide strength prediction and design rules for FDM parts.
Dolichospermum is a filamentous and heterocytous cyanobacterium that is one of the commonly occurring phytoplanktons in the Han River of Korea. Morphological observations led to the identification of D. planctonicum-like filaments in seasonal water samples. In the present study, we successfully isolated these filaments using culture methods, and examined its morphology using light and scanning electron microscopy. The morphology of the D. planctonicumlike species differed from that of typical D. planctonicum; it had thin cylindrical-shaped akinetes, which were narrower towards the ends than at the center. This morphology is firstly described in the genus Dolichospermum. In addition, the akinetes in the filament developed solitarily and were distant from the heterocytes. Phylogenetic analysis of the 16S rRNA sequences showed that our Dolichospermum clustered with D. planctonicum and D. circinale, which have coiled trichome. However, phylogenetic analysis of the gene encoding rivulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase (rbcLX) clearly separated our species from other Dolichospermum, forming a unique clade. Additionally, structures of D. planctonicum and D. hangangense strains were different type in Box-B and V3 region. These results demonstrated that the new Dolichospermum species was unique in morphology and molecular traits. Therefore, we propose this to be a new species belonging to genus Dolichospermum with the name Dolichospermum hangangense sp. nov.

As SLA(Sterealithography), SLS(Selective Laser Sintering), LOM(Laminated Object Manufacturing), FDM(Fused Deposition Modeling) etc. The FDM system the heart of a study and is developed by Stratasys co. ltd, in US., is small and cheap R.P. The material filament is heated until the material reaches a near-liquid state, it is pumped through a nozzle and become hand with a shape required, and this nozzle move pumping on the previously deposited material. Such FDM system that choice deposition type with X-Y plouter obtain in the thin continue layer by decreasing amount of extrusion or to central the injection amount when the head slow down at the corner, but in the process that fusion wax or resin become hand, deformation occur and it will affect the shape accuracy and the surface roughness. Such effect will depreciate quality and reliability of the product. Therefore, when the product made in actuality, the fundamental study on the basis geometry(surface, volume, line, angle) must be preceded and it have been research by many Free Form Fabrication. So, this basic object study purpose to obtain the fundamental geometry data and to enhance the surface roughness of the shape. And an operant can use the data for the progress of the surface roughness. This study research the estimation and application of the prototype surface roughness by adjustment the injection amount. And basie of this research, describe the pattern of prototype surface roughness and also used the result to estimate the surface of prototype.
Sorption of C. I. Disperse Yellow 54 dye in poly(trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT) and poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) textile fibers were measured at various pressures, temperatures, and times in the presence of supercritical carbon dioxide and thereby the diffusivities of the dye in the fibers were calculated. The diffusivity of dye in the polymeric fibers was very low, only in the order of $10^{-12}\;cm^2/sec$, but increased with increasing temperature at constant pressure and with increasing pressure at constant temperature. The diffusivity in PTT fibers were about 1.5 to 3 times as large as that in PET fibers. As the fiber was very thin, the dye distribution in the fiber was almost uniform everywhere inside the fiber.

The diamond thin films was deposited on Si(100) substrate by Hot Filament Chemical Vapor Deposition (HFCVD) method using supplied the $CH_{3}OH/H_{2}O$ mixtured gas with excess H_{2} gas. The role of hydrogen ion as the growth mechanism of the diamond deposit was examined and compared the $CH_{3}OH/H_{2}O$ with the $CH_4/H_2$. Pressures in the range of $1.1\sim290{\times}10^2$ Pa were applied and using $3.4\sim4.4$ kw power. It was investigated by Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM) and Raman spectroscopy The H ion was etching the graphite and restrained from $sp^3\;to\;sp^2$. But excess $H_2$ gas was not helped diamond deposit using $CH_{3}OH/H_{2}O$ mixtured gas. It was shown that the role of hydrogen ion of deposited diamond films using $CH_{3}OH/H_{2}O$ was different from $CH_4/H_2$.

In this study, the effects of Mn-doping and the electrode materials on the memory characteristics of $ZnO_xS_{1-x}$ resistive random access memory (ReRAM) devices on plastic are investigated. Compared with the undoped Al/$ZnO_xS_{1-x}$/Au and Al/$ZnO_xS_{1-x}$/Cu devices, the Mn-doped ones show a relatively higher ratio of the high resistance state (HRS) to low resistance state (LRS), and narrower resistance distributions in both states. For the $ZnO_xS_{1-x}$ devices with bottom electrodes of Cu, more stable conducting filament paths are formed near these electrodes, due to the relatively higher affinity of copper to sulfur, compared with the devices with bottom electrodes of Au, so that the distributions of the set and reset voltages get narrower. For the Al/$ZnO_xS_{1-x}$/Cu device, the ratio of the HRS to LRS is above $10^6$, and the memory characteristics are maintained for $10^4$ sec, which values are comparable to those of ReRAM devices on Si or glass substrates.
The aim of the study was to observe the influence and related mechanism of histamine and its analogues used for hypersensitivity tests and used as an indicator of impurities in drugs on the tissue-specific intestinal contraction. Intestinal contraction includes the activation of thick or thin filament regulation. However, there are few reports addressing the question whether this regulation is involved in histamine-induced regulation. We hypothesized that histamine plays a role in tissue-dependent regulation of intestinal contractility. Denuded ileal/colonic longitudinal and circular muscles of male rats were used and isometric contractions were recorded using a data acquisition system. Interestingly, histamine alone didn't increase the contraction of the circular muscle but increased the contraction of the longitudinal muscle. Histamine together with atropine (M3 receptor antagonist) didn't inhibit the contraction of the longitudinal and circular muscle. Therefore, histamine alone and together with atropine increases the ileal longitudinal muscle contraction suggesting that additional mechanisms (decreased receptor density, postreceptor signaling or distribution of agonists) might be involved in the regulation of ileal muscle contractility. In conclusion, histamine and/or atropine has some effect on the regulation of the longitudinal contractility regardless of M3 receptor and the simpler test would be preferred as the drug impurity test compared to more complicated tests.
In the study, we endeavored to investigate the effect of phenylephrine, isoprenaline and prazosin on the tissue-specific vascular contractility and to determine the mechanism involved. There were few reports addressing the question whether thin or thick filament modulation is included in phenylephrine, isoprenaline and prazosin-induced regulation. We hypothesized that isoprenaline and prazosin play a role in tissue-dependent regulation of vascular contractility. Denuded arterial muscles of Sprague-Dawley male rats were suspended in organ baths and isometric tensions were transduced and recorded using isometric transducers and an automatic data acquisition system. Interestingly, sustained continuous contraction of thoracic and abdominal aorta. Furthermore, isoprenaline and prazosin together with phenylephrine inhibited transiently and persistently vasoconstriction of thoracic and abdominal aorta suggesting that additional mechanisms (e.g. decreased receptor density, chemical interaction, postreceptor signaling or distribution of agonists) might be included in the modulation of vascular contractility.
In this study, self-reinforced composite(SRC) was prepared using HDPE(High density polyethylene) fabric(2×2 plain) and LDPE(Low density polyethylene) film. The optimal conditions were derived by manufacturing specimens according to the temperature of 100 ~ 140℃ using a hot stamping at a pressure of 100bar for 10 minutes in order to find the optimal conditions for the SRC. The manufactured SRC was analyzed for tensile properties, compressive strength and shear strength through a universal testing machine(UTM). As a result of the measurement, the P3 specimen prepared by hot stamping at a temperature of 130℃ and a pressure of 100bar for 10 minutes was found to be higher than other specimens with tensile strength and tensile modulus of 210MPa and 19GPa, compressive strength 69MPa and shear strength 13MPa and it was considered to be optimal condition. Finally, the composite material according to the fabric structure was modeled using experimental values and the physical properties of the composite material according to the fabric structure were predicted using GeoDict and Digimat.
In the study, we endeavored to assess the convergence effect of Silybum marianum-derived silymarin and epidemiologically-correlated alcohol intake on vascular contractility and to determine the mechanism involved. There were few reports addressing the question whether thin or thick filament modulation is included in ethanol and silymarin-induced regulation. We hypothesized that ethanol at a low concentration and silymarin play a role in agonist-dependent regulation of vascular contractility. Denuded arterial muscles of Sprague-Dawley male rats were suspended in organ baths and isometric tensions were transduced and recorded using isometric transducers and an automatic data acquisition system. Interestingly, both silymarin and ethanol didn't encourage silymarin alone-induced inhibition in agonists-induced contraction suggesting that endothelial nitric oxide synthesis might be involved in ethanol or silymarin-induced modulation of vascular contractility and additional pathways besides endothelial nitric oxide synthesis such as ROCK inactivation might be involved in the silymarin-induced modulation of vascular contractility.
