  • The aim of this paper is to introduce a new generalization of fuzzy faintly continuous functions called fuzzy faintly pre-continuous functions and also we have introduced and studied weakly fuzzy pre-continuous functions. Several characterizations of fuzzy faintly pre-continuous functions are given and some interesting properties of the above functions are discussed.

  • Some magnetic probes for theta-pinch experiment have been constructed. Methods of building the coil, conecting it to the oscilloscope, shielding and enclosing the probe are discribed. Such a probe has been used to measure the magnetic flux penetrating it within theta - pinched plasmas.

  • The purpose of this study is to show that the accuracy of the interpolation method can be at least doubled when additional smoothness requirements and boundary conditions are met. In particular, as a basis function, we are interested in using a conditionally positive definite function $\Phi$ whose generalized Fourier transform is of the form $\Phi(\theta)\;=\;F(\theta)$\mid$\theta$\mid$^{-2m}$ with a bounded function F > 0.

  • The quasi-(${\theta}$, s)-continuity is a weakened form of the weak (${\theta}$, s)-continuity and equivalent to the weak quasi-continuity. The basic properties of those functions are investigated in concern with the other weakened continuous functions. It turns out that the open property of a function and the extremall disconnectedness of the spaces are crucial tools for the survey of these functions.

  • In this paper, by using fixed point theorem, we obtain the stability of the following functional equations $$f(pr,qs)+g(ps,qr)={\theta}(p,q,r,s)f(p,q)h(r,s)\\f(pr,qs)+g(ps,qr)={\theta}(p,q,r,s)g(p,q)h(r,s)$$, where G is a commutative semigroup, ${\theta}:G^4{\rightarrow}{\mathbb{R}}_k$ a function and f, g, h are functionals on $G^2$.

  • The purpose of this paper is to construct several parametric duality models and prove appropriate duality results under various generalized (${\theta},{\eta},{\rho}$)-V-invexity assumptions for a discrete minmax fractional programming problem involving arbitrary norms.

  • Thomas Bayes assumed uniform prior for the location $\theta$ of a billiard ball W in his historic 1764 paper. In this study, following mathematical derivation of the uniform distribution from several assumptions that are plausible on te billiard table, it is argued that the probabilistic meaning of Bayes' uniform prior (especially in Billiard Problem) is not just sujective but logical.

  • This note deals with the estimations of the variance of a normal distribution $N(\theta,c\theta^2)$ where c, the square of coefficient of variation is assumed to be known. This amounts to the estimation of $\theta^2$. The minimum variance estimator among all unbiased estimators linear in $\bar{x}^2$ and $s^2$ where $\bar{x}$ and $s^2$ are the sample mean and variance, respectively, and the minimum risk estimator in the class of all estimators linear in $\bar{x}^2$ and $s^2$ are obtained. It is shown that the suggested estimators are BAN.

  • We introduce r-fuzzy $\delta$-cluster ($\theta$-cluster) points and r-fuzzy $\delta$-closure ($\theta$-closure) sets in smooth fuzzy topological spaces in a view of the definition of A.P. Sostak [13]. We study some properties of them.

  • This paper is concerned with the empirical Bayes estimation of one of the two shape parameters(${\theta}$) in the Burr(${\beta},\;{\theta}$) type XII failure model based on type-II censored data. We obtain the bootstrap empirical Bayes confidence intervals of ${\theta}$ by the parametric bootstrap introduced by Laird and Louis(1987). The comparisons among the bootstrap and the naive empirical Bayes confidence intervals through Monte Carlo study are also presented.
