박형 태양 전지 모듈화를 위한 레이져 태빙 자동화 공정(장비) 개발 (Development on New Laser Tabbing Process for Modulation of Thin Solar Cell)

  • In solar cell module manufacturing, single solar cells has to be joined electrically to strings. Copper stripes coated with tin-silver-copper alloy are joined on screen printed silver of solar cells which is called busbar. The bus bar collects the electrons generated in solar cell and it is connected to the next cell in the conventional module manufacturing by a metal stringer using conventional hot air or infrared lamp soldering systems. For thin solar cells, both soldering methods have disadvantages, which heats up the whole cell to high temperatures. Because of the different thermal expansion coefficient, mechanical stresses are induced in the solar cell. Recently, the trend of solar cell is toward thinner thickness below 180um and thus the risk of breakage of solar cells is increasing. This has led to the demand for new joining processes with high productivity and reduced error rates. In our project, we have developed a new method to solder solar cells with a laser heating source. The soldering process using diode laser with wavelength of 980nm was examined. The diode laser used has a maximum power of 60W and a scanner system is used to solder dimension of 6" solar cell and the beam travel speed is optimized. For clamping copper stripe to solar cell, zirconia(ZrO)coated iron pin-spring system is used to clamp both joining parts during a scanner system is traveled. The hot plate temperature that solar cell is positioned during lasersoldering process is optimized. Also, conventional solder joints after $180^{\circ}C$ peel tests are compared to the laser soldering methods. Microstructures in welded zone shows that the diffusion zone between solar cell and metal stripes is better formed than inIR soldering method. It is analyzed that the laser solder joints show no damages to the silicon wafer and no cracks beneath the contact. Peel strength between 4N and 5N are measured, with much shorter joining time than IR solder joints and it is shown that the use of laser soldering reduced the degree of bending of solar cell much less than IR soldering.

  • Boron doping on an n-type Si wafer is requisite process for IBC (Interdigitated Back Contact) solar cells. Fiber laser annealing is one of boron doping methods. For the boron doping, uniformly coated or deposited film is highly required. Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) method provides a uniform dopant film or layer which can facilitate doping. Because amorphous silicon layer absorption range for the wavelength of fiber laser does not match well for the direct annealing. In this study, to enhance thermal affection on the existing p-a-Si:H layer, a ${\mu}c$-Si:H intrinsic layer was deposited on the p-a-Si:H layer additionally by PECVD. To improve heat transfer rate to the amorphous silicon layer, and as heating both sides and protecting boron eliminating from the amorphous silicon layer. For p-a-Si:H layer with the ratio of $SiH_4$ : $B_2H_6$ : $H_2$ = 30 : 30 : 120, at $200^{\circ}C$, 50 W, 0.2 Torr for 30 minutes, and for ${\mu}c$-Si:H intrinsic layer, $SiH_4$ : $H_2$ = 10 : 300, at $200^{\circ}C$, 30 W, 0.5 Torr for 60 minutes, 2 cm $\times$ 2 cm size wafers were used. In consequence of comparing the results of lifetime measurement and sheet resistance relation, the laser condition set of 20 ~ 27 % of power, 150 ~ 160 kHz, 20 ~ 50 mm/s of marking speed, and $10\;{\sim}\;50 {\mu}m$ spacing with continuous wave mode of scanner lens showed the correlation between lifetime and sheet resistance as $100\;{\Omega}/sq$ and $11.8\;{\mu}s$ vs. $17\;{\Omega}/sq$ and $8.2\;{\mu}s$. Comparing to the singly deposited p-a-Si:H layer case, the additional ${\mu}c$-Si:H layer for doping resulted in no trade-offs, but showed slight improvement of both lifetime and sheet resistance, however sheet resistance might be confined by the additional intrinsic layer. This might come from the ineffective crystallization of amorphous silicon layer. For the additional layer case, lifetime and sheet resistance were measured as $84.8\;{\Omega}/sq$ and $11.09\;{\mu}s$ vs. $79.8\;{\Omega}/sq$ and $11.93\;{\mu}s$. The co-existence of $n^+$layeronthesamesurfaceandeliminating the laser damage should be taken into account for an IBC solar cell structure. Heavily doped uniform boron layer by fiber laser brings not only basic and essential conditions for the beginning step of IBC solar cell fabrication processes, but also the controllable doping concentration and depth that can be established according to the deposition conditions of layers.

4종 아크릴릭 레진 인공치의 물리적 성질에 관한 비교 (COMPARISON OF THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF FOUR KINDS OF ACRYLIC RESIN DENTURE TEETH)

  • To compare the wear resistance of four kinds of commercial acrylic resin teeth [SR-Orthosit PosterioresR(Ivoclar Co., Liechtenstein), Endura PosteriorR(Shofu Inc. Japan), trubyte IPN teethR(Dentsply International Inc., York,), Trubyte BiotoneR(dentsply Inermational Inc. Brazil) by means of the toothbrush abrasion method, the artificial resin teeth were embedded in epoxy resin with the occlusal surfaces aligned in one plane for a total of 40 blocks. There after, each lock was mounted in the arm of the toothbrush abrasion machine(K 236, Japan). Wear measurements were made on the three preconditioned states. Those were as follows : no treatment specimens, thermocycled specimens, and thermocycled specimens which were immeresed applied load of 400g during the buring the brushing cycle. At the end of the 30,000-stroke cycle, each specimen was removed, and weighed. The microhardness of four kinds of commercial resin teeth were determined by means of microhardness tester. Microhardness tests were performed on te no treatment specimens, thermocycled specimens, and thermocycled specimens with immersion in the denture cleansing solution. Finally, the comparison of thermal properties were perfomed using differential scanning calorimeter(DSC-1500). The following results were obtained : 1. In the case of no treatment teeth, the wear amount of endura Posterior(EN) was the greatest among the others(p<0.01), and the wear amount of three kinds of artificial resin teeth was increased in the order of Trubyte IPN teeth(IN), Trubyte Biotone(BN), SR-Orthosit Posteriores(SN) but there was no statistic significance(p>0.01). 2. The wear amount of Trubyte IPN teeth(IT) and Trubyte Biotone(BT), was increased due to thermocycling effect, but that of Endura Posteriores(ET) was decreased conversely(p<0.01). 3. Except for the SR-Orthosit Posteriores(STC), the wear amount of three kinds of artificial resing teeth(that is, ETC, ITC, BTC) was increased due to denture cleansing solution$(Cledent^R)$, but there was no statistic significance(p>0.01). But the wear amount of the SR-Orthosit Posteriores(STC) was the greatest among the others(p<0.01). 4. The wear amount of toothbrush was the greatest in case of contact with occlusal surface of SROrthosit Posteriores resin teeth(p<0.01). 5. the microhardness values(KHN) of the SR-Orthosit Posteriores was the highest among the experimental artificial resin teeth(p<0.01). 6. There was no relationship between microhardness valuse(KHN) and wear amount of four kinds of experimental artificial resin teeth(p<0.01). 7. The differential canning calorimetric property of four kinds of artificial resin teeth did not show endothermal or exothermal peak in the range of $100^{\circ}C$

Ex-situ 스퍼터링법에 의한 $V_2O_5$ 전 고상 박막전지의 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Characteristics of $V_2O_5$ based All Solid State Thin Film Microbattery by Ex-situ Sputtering Method)

  • 상온에서 DC-magnetron sputtering으로 증착한 비정질의 $V_2O_5$ 박막을 양극물질로 하여 $V_2O_5/LIPON/Li$으로 구성된 박막형 리튬이차전지를 제작하였다. $V_2O_5$의 양극특성은 액체전해질을 이용한 half cell 구조에서 평가하였으며, $Ar/O_2$ 분압비의 변화에 따라 제작된 $V_2O_5$ 양극은 분압비 80/20에서 가장 좋은 특성을 보였다. 자체 제작한 $Li_3PO_4$ 타겟을 사용하여 RF-sputtering으로 순수한 질소 분위기 하에서 양극 위에 고체전해질 LIPON 박막을 형성하였으며, 1.2-4.0V vs. Li 구간에서 리튬에 대해 반응성이 없는 안정한 화합물임을 확인하였다. 음극으로 쓰인 약 $2{\mu}m$두께의 금속리튬박막은 진공 열 증착법으로 제조하였으며, $V_2O_5/LIPON/Li$의 박막형 리튬이차전지는 $1.2\~3.5V$ 구간에서 초기에 약 $150{\mu}A/cm^2{\mu}m$의 높은 방전용량을 나타내었다.

$MoSi_2$ 금속간화합물 복합재료의 미세구조와 방전가공특성 (Microstructure and EDM Processing of $MoSi_2$ Intermetallic Composite)

  • This paper describes the machining characteristics of the $MoSi_2$ based composites by electric discharge drilling with various tubular electrodes, besides, Hardness characteristics and microstructures of $Nb/MoSi_2$ laminate composites were evaluated from the variation of fabricating conditions such as preparation temperature, applied pressure and pressure holding time. $MoSi_2$ -based composites has been developed in new materials for jet engine of supersonic-speed airplanes and gas turbine for high- temperature generator. Achieving this objective may require new hard materials with high strength and high temperature-resistance. However, With the exception of grinding, traditional machining methods are not applicable to these new materials. Electric discharge machining (EDM) is a thermal process that utilizes a spark discharge to melt a conductive material, the tool electrode being almost non-unloaded, because there is no direct contact between the tool electrode and the workpiece. By combining a nonconducting ceramics with more conducting ceramic it was possible to raise the electrical conductivity. From experimental results, it was found that the lamination from Nb sheet and $MoSi_2$ powder was an excellent strategy to improve hardness characteristics of monolithic $MoSi_2$. However, interfacial reaction products like (Nb, Mo)$SiO_2$ and $Nb_2Si_3$ formed at the interface of $Nb/MoSi_2$ and increased with fabricating temperature. $MoSi_2$ composites which a hole drilling was not possible by the conventional machining process, enhanced the capacity of ED-drilling by adding $NbSi_2$ relative to that of SiC or $ZrO_2$ reinforcements.

A Study on Optimum Spark Plasma Sintering Conditions for Conductive SiC-ZrB2 Composites

  • Conductive SiC-$ZrB_2$ composites were produced by subjecting a 40:60 (vol%) mixture of zirconium diboride (ZrB2) powder and ${\beta}$-silicon carbide (SiC) matrix to spark plasma sintering (SPS). Sintering was carried out for 5 min in an argon atmosphere at a uniaxial pressure and temperature of 50 MPa and $1500^{\circ}C$, respectively. The composite sintered at a heating speed of $25^{\circ}C$/min and an on/off pulse sequence of 12:2 was denoted as SZ12L. Composites SZ12H, SZ48H, and SZ10H were obtained by sintering at a heating speed of $100^{\circ}C$/min and at on/off pulse sequences of 12:2, 48:8, and 10:9, respectively. The physical, electrical, and mechanical properties of the SiC-$ZrB_2$ composites were examined and thermal image analysis of the composites was performed. The apparent porosities of SZ12L, SZ12H, SZ48H, and SZ10H were 13.35%, 0.60%, 12.28%, and 9.75%, respectively. At room temperature, SZ12L had the lowest flexural strength (286.90 MPa), whereas SZ12H had the highest flexural strength (1011.34 MPa). Between room temperature and $500^{\circ}C$, the SiC-$ZrB_2$ composites had a positive temperature coefficient of resistance (PTCR) and linear V-I characteristics. SZ12H had the lowest PTCR and highest electrical resistivity among all the composites. The optimum SPS conditions for the production of energy-friendly SiC-$ZrB_2$ composites are as follows: 1) an argon atmosphere, 2) a constant pressure of 50 MPa throughout the sintering process, 3) an on/off pulse sequence of 12:2 (pulse duration: 2.78 ms), and 4) a final sintering temperature of $1500^{\circ}C$ at a speed of $100^{\circ}C$/min and sintering for 5 min at $1500^{\circ}C$.

고체산화물연료전지 공기극의 재료개발동향 (Cathode materials advance in solid oxide fuel cells)

  • 고체산화물연료전지(SOFC)는 청정에너지기술로써 화학에너지를 전기에너지로 직접 전환한다. SOFC는 열병합발전과 결합하여 80%이상의 효율을 올릴 수 있으며 천연가스와 바이오가스 등 연료에 대한 융통성이 폴리머전해질막연료전지(PEMFC)보다 높다. YSZ전해질과 함께 SOFC에 주로 채용되는 공기극 재료는 아직까지 Sr이 첨가된 $LaMnO_3$(LSM)이다. LSM 이외에, 혼합전도성을 가지는 페로브스카이트로서 Sr첨가 $LaCoO_3$(LSCo), $LaFeO_3$(LSF), $LaFe_{0.8}Co_{0.2}O_3$(LSCF)는 공기극 임피던스가 LSM에 비해 현저히 낮아 연구가 증가하고 있다. 그러나 SOFC전극의 소결온도에서 YSZ과 고체반응을 일으키는 문제점과 열팽창 계수가 YSZ와 격차가 크게 나는 문제점 때문에 전극 제조가 복잡하다. 따라서 전해질과의 화학적 안정성 및 유사한 열팽창계수(TEC)를 가지면서 우수한 전기화학활성을 제공하는 것이 해결해야할 중요한 문제로 남는다.

메탄올의 촉매연소에 대한 금속-프탈로시아닌의 특성 (Characteristics of Metal-Phthalocyanine for Catalytic Combustion of Methanol)

  • 본 연구는 상압유통식 반응장치를 이용하여 석유화학공단에서 주로 발생되는 휘발성 유기화합물(volatile organic compound: VOC) 인 methanol의 연소에 대한 다양한 금속-프탈로시아닌의 촉매활성에 관하여 연구하였다. Co-PC의 촉매활성은 air+methanol의 혼합물을 이용하여 전처리한 경우가 air만으로 전처리한 경우보다 더 높았으며, 금속-PC의 촉매활성은 metal free-PC < Zn-PC < Fe-PC < Cu($\alpha$)-PC < Co-PC의 순서 였다. TG/DTA 분석 결과, 금속-PC 의 열분해 용이 성은 metal free-PC < Zn-PC < Cu($\alpha$)-PC < Co-PC < Fe-PC의 순서로 나타었으며, 금속과 프탈로시아닌의 결합특성에 따른 차이로 판단된다. XRD 및 EA 분석결과, 전처리한 후의 Zn-PCS와 metal free-PC는 원래의 결정구조가 거의 유지되었지만, Co-PC, Cu($\alpha$)PC 및 Fe-PC는 원래의 결정구조가 파괴되는 것으로 나타났다. 전처리한 후의 Co-PC는 금속산화물인 $Co_3O_4$의 형태로 존재하였으며, Co-PC의 촉매활성이 가장 우수하였다. Co-PC 상에서 methanol의 촉매연소는 반응물의 농도가 높거나 접촉시간(W/F)이 짧을 경우, 중간생성물로서 HCHO 및 $HCOOCH_3$가 관찰되었다.

친수성과 소수성을 동시에 가지는 아세틸화 셀룰로스 에테르의 합성 및 특성 평가 (Synthesis and characterization of hydrophobic and hydrophilic cellulose derivative by esterification)

  • 친수성과 소수성을 동시에 갖는 아세틸화 셀룰로스 에테르(ACE)를 합성하여 유기용매 용해도 및 거동 평가와 물에 대한 젖음성을 평가하였다. 친수성 고분자인 셀룰로스 에테르에 에스테르화 반응을 통해 아세틸기를 치환시켰으며, FT-IR 분석결과 수산화기의 감소와 카르복실산의 증가를 통해 아세틸화 반응을 확인하였다. 열분해 거동 분석결과 $800^{\circ}C$까지 셀룰로스와 셀룰로스 에테르와 유사한 분해거동을 보여 셀룰로스 주사슬의 구조변화 없이 치환 반응이 일어난 것을 확인하였다. 18.5~26.4의 solubility parameter의 값을 예상할 수 있는 ACE는 유기용매의 solubility parameter 값에 의해 탁도와 점도가 결정되었다. 합성한 ACE의 접촉각은 셀룰로스 에테르 보다 높은 값을 보였으나 시간에 따른 접촉각 변화는 유사한 경향을 보였다. 이는 치환된 아세틸기에 의한 소수성, 무수 글루코스 단위체 내의 반응하지 않고 잔존하는 수산화기에 의해 친수성을 동시에 가지는 것을 알 수 있었다.

신축 가능한 에폭시 베이스 전도성 접착제 개발 (Development of Epoxy Based Stretchable Conductive Adhesive)

  • 신축/유연한 전극을 무언가에 접착하거나 전극에 무언가를 접착하기 위해서는 전극의 특성에 맞는 전도성 접착제가 필요하다. 전도성 접착제는 접착성과 전도성이 필수적으로 요구된다. 특히 접착성 부분은 내구성과 내열성이 요구되며 기존 접착제와 다르게 전도성까지 보유해야한다. 그러기 위해서는 강도와 접착성이 좋은 에폭시를 접착제로 선정하였고 여기에 기존 주제와 경화제로 이루어진 2액형 소재가 아닌 가소제와 보강제까지 혼합하여 4액형 소재를 사용하여 신축/유연성을 고분자에 부여하였다. 전도성 필러는 비저항이 낮은 재료인 은으로 선정하였고 높은 전도성을 위해 3가지 모양의 Ag 입자를 사용해 패킹성을 높였다. 이렇게 개발된 전도성 접착제와 실제 판매되고 있는 에폭시 기반 전도성 접착제 2개와 전도성을 비교하였고 실제 판매되고 있는 제품보다 약 10배정도의 우수한 전도성 결과가 도출되었다. 그리고 가소제와 보강제 여부에 따른 전도성, 기계적 특성, 접착력, 강도를 평가하였다. 또한 120℃에서 5분 경화 후에 60%의 인장에도 문제가 없었으며 연필경도는 6H로 우수하게 측정되었다. 3M tape test를 통해 전극의 접착력을 확인한 결과 바인더의 배합 비율에 관계없이 모두 우수한 결과를 보였다. 전극 위에 Cu sheet를 전도성 접착제를 통해 부착시킨 후 접촉저항을 확인한 결과 0.3 Ω으로 우수한 성능을 보였다.
