  • The incidents of massive personal information being leaked are occurring continuously over recent years. Personal information leaked outside is used for an illegal use of other's name and account theft. Especially it is happening on online games whose virtual goods, online game money and game items can be exchanged with real cash. When we research the real identity theft cases that happened in an online game, we can see that they happen massively in a short time. In this study, we define the characteristics of the mass attacks of the automated identity theft cases that occur in online games. Also we suggest a system to detect and prevent identity theft attacks in real time.

  • In this paper, we propose a theft prevention technology based on beacon and smart device for smart stroller. The smart stroller has two Bluetooth devices. One is for data transmission and the other is for distance measurement as beacon. Thus, smart device uses a Bluetooth for strength level setting, manual locking and data transmission of smart stroller. Furthermore, smart device can do automatic locking of smart stroller using Bluetooth beacon when the stroller go further away from smart device. At this time, we apply a distance measurement algorithm and theft prevention algorithm with improved beacon distance measurement technique. To show usefulness of the proposed technology, we make a smart stroller and developed a smart device application. We did two distance measurement experiments and a theft prevention experiment with the proposed technology and the result shows 91.3% accuracy for theft prevention. Therefore, the proposed technology would be more usefulness technology for smart stroller.

  • This paper presents an unmanned store management system that can provide inventory management and theft prevention for displayed products using a small camera that can monitor the shelves of sold products in small and medium-sized stores. This system is a service solution that integrates object recognition, real-time communication, security management, access management, and mobile authentication. The proposed system uses a custom YOLOv5-x model to recognize objects on the display, measure quantities in real time, and support real-time data communication with servers through Raspberry Pie. In addition, the number of objects in the database and the object recognition results are compared to detect suspected theft situations and provide burial images at the time of theft. The proposed unmanned store solution is expected to improve the efficiency of small and medium-sized unmanned store operations and contribute to responding to theft.

  • The theft of construction equipments and materials at construction sites is one of the risk factors that may affect to the productivity as well as the progress of the project. However, managers of the construction site have paid little attention to the security measure, therefore the theft loss at construction sites has been occurred repeatedly every year. In this study the situation analysis has been carried out for the present condition of theft loss of construction equipments and materials as well as its prevention measure based on the questionnaire survey targeting field managers, experienced theft loss at the site, as a part of base study to set up a security measure of construction sites. The main content of this study is analyzing characteristics of theft loss and the degree of impact and risk by it at construction sites, then reviewing the direction of the prevention plan establishment for the future through the analysis of the importance and utilization level of prevention measures. The result of this study would give an opportunity to create an awareness against the theft loss at construction sites as well as can be utilized as a basic survey for the systematic development of concerned prevention measures.

  • This study is aimed to improve the youth theft prevention program with rationality and practicality, based on the needs of practitioners who conduct these programs in fields. The survey questionnaire was prepared based on previous researches, and the survey was conducted on 72 probation officers and education instructors nationwide running a youth theft prevention program. As a result, practitioners reported the lack of self-control and high impulsivity as the main characteristics of the theft delinquent adolescents. And they recognized peer alignment and family problems as the causes of theft. As for the contents of the program, they reported that recidivism prevention skills such as understanding psychological problems, peer relationships, raising a sense of law compliance, anger, impulse control, dealing with negative emotions, and finding alternative behaviors, as well as moral development, are necessary. These results indicate that multi-dimensional interventions such as individuals, families, and peers are needed to prevent recidivism of juvenile theft. Implications of these results, future research directions, and limitations and significance of the study were discussed.

  • In order to occupy educational furniture market that grows by the day and to meet demands for alternative product for the current market, this study took business features and productivity of Sinil Furniture Co into consideration, and developed computer desk for education by group, which is new among educational furniture. The scope of the study ranges from data research based on design process into creation of prototype. By improving the condition where, despite that electrically-powered computer desk for anti-theft system is high priced, it sees frequent malfunction, the study suggested low-priced, non- electrically-powered anti-theft system which has more solid structure. Furthermore, in order for the user to be more free and comfortable while studying on it, it differentiates from other products by locating PC main body to the back of the monitor and lowering it below the altitude of monitor to prevent it from interfering with studies. We've made the higher board of the desk in a soft curved-shape in order to lessen the stress from studying. And as space for the monitor's lower mount was decreased, we've put the lower mount below the higher board; so that lacking space can be recovered while functioning as anti-theft system. Moreover, we've covered the PC main body with steel cover so that it would add color and formal luxuriousness to the appearance of the desk. Considering ease of mobility and productivity, knock-down system was introduced.

  • The loss of book happens not only from natural disaster but from mostly humans improper intention to acquire without proper consideration of ethnic standards. We occasionally have difficulty in differentiating between stealing and toying books since it is often called the basic instinct to possess the books. It is however absolutely illegal to take books belong to others without permission due to one's pure love towards books, passion to possession, or innate instinct. In this study, we define the definition of book theft and classify the cases of historically well-known book theft. It then states the book plunder cases of Nazi with the abuse of public powers, Libri, and Blumberg in terms of quantity and methods as a history of library.

  • Smart Device Communications using the development of anti-theft system for vehicles have been investigated. because Progress of Smart Device If someone get the Key for Vehicle theft, he can be easily stolen vehicle. We thought about the concept of dual security devices. Using vehicle's identifier ID of CAN, when Comparing Smat phone identifier ID value and identifier ID received from the Can in the Head, If the same ID is compared. At this point after the activity of the vehicle's ACC On/Off the system allows the vehicle's ignition.

  • As the occurrence of a crime is dependent on different factors, their correlations are beyond the ordinary cognitive range. Owing to this limitation, systems face difficulty in correlating various factors, thereby requiring the assistance of artificial intelligence (AI) to overcome such limitations. Therefore, AI has become indispensable for crime prediction. Crimes can cause severe and irrevocable damage to a society. Recently, big data has been introduced for developing highly accurate models for crime prediction. Prediction of night crimes should be given significant consideration, because crimes primarily occur during nights, when the spatiotemporal characteristics become vulnerable to crimes. Many environmental factors that influence crime rate are applied for crime prediction, and their influence on crime rate may differ based on temporal characteristics and the nature of crime. This study aims to identify the environmental factors that influence sex and theft crimes occurring at night and proposes an artificial neural network (ANN) model to predict sex and theft crimes at night in random areas. The crime data of A district in Seoul for 12 years (2004-2015) was used, and environmental factors that influence sex and theft crimes were derived through multiple regression analysis. Two types of crime prediction models were developed: Type A using all environmental factors as input data; Type B with only the significant factors (obtained from regression analysis) as input data. The Type B model exhibited a greater accuracy than Type A, by 3.26 and 9.47 % higher for theft and sex crimes, respectively.
