  • This paper proposed receding methods for a radix-${\gamma}$ representation of the secret scalar which are resistant to SPA. Unlike existing receding method, these receding methods are left-to-right so they can be interleaved with a left-to-right scalar multiplication, removing the need to store both the scalar and its receding. Hence, these left-to-right methods are suitable for implementing on memory limited devices such as smart cards and sensor nodes

And emotional value has been dealt within the SPA brand contexts recently. Therefore, the current study investigates how SPA brand consumers' emotional value consumption orientation has affected brand loyalty, with a focus on mediation effects of marketing mix attributes assessment. Results of this research are as follows. First, there was a significant difference between Zara and Uniqlo on the assessment of marketing mix attributes. Second, emotional consumption value orientation had significantly impact on brand loyalty for both Zara and Uniqlo. Third, multi-regression analysis was conducted to find out the mediation effect of marketing mix attributes assessment in the relationships between emotional consumption value orientation and brand loyalty. For Zara, hedonic promotional and pricing attributes of products and place show full mediation effect on brand loyalty. For Uniqlo, utilitarian, hedonic and pricing attributes have impact on brand loyalty. The current study strives to find out how emotional consumption value orientation attected the consumer evaluation process and purchase behavior in the contexts of SPA brand product purchase. Product assessments have stronger effect than place, and hedonic attributes have stronger effect on brand loyalty in comparison with utilitarian attributes. Also, hedonic attributes of product and place have stronger effect on brand loyalty in comparison with utilitarian attributes.

  • A selective agar medium was developed and tested for the isolation of Acidovorax avenae subsp. avenae, the causal bacterial pathogen of bacterial brown stripe, from rice seeds. The new selective agar medium, designated sorbitol pyroglutamic acid agar (SPA) medium, contained 0.5 g of $K_2$HPO$_4$, 3.0 g of Na$_2$HPO$_4$, 2.0 g of D-sorbitol, 0.2 g of L-pyroglutamic acid, 10.0 $m\ell$ of tween 80, 40.0 mg of victoria blue B, 15.0 g of agar, 150.0 mg of ampicillin and 25.0 mg of vancomycin per litter. Colonies of A. avenae subsp. avenae on SPA medium were smooth, round, convex, shiny, blue and 1.5-2.0 mm in diameter 4 days after incubation at 28$^{\circ}C$. Blue colored colony having dark blue zone was typical type of A. avenae subsp. avenae colonies on the medium. Mean recovery of 8 isolates of A. avenae subsp. avenae on the selective SPA medium was 95.8% in comparison to that on KB medium. The saprophytic bacteria were reduced to 97.9% on SPA medium compared to those on KB medium. Most of other rice seedborne bacteria as well as reported pathogenic bacteria were failed to grow on SPA medium. This medium was highly selective for recovering A. avenae subsp. avenae from rice seed samples, and it could be used to enhance the recovery of this bacterium from rice seed samples, which may be contaminated with large numbers of competing microorganisms.

  • To obtain a correctly folded human proinsulin, export of proinsulin using Staphylococcal protein A signal sequence-mediated secretion pathway has been attempted in E.coli. A secretion operon for proinsulin was constructed by consecutively connecting T7 promoter, SPA ribosome binding site, SPA signal sequence gene, and human proinsulin gene. Little immunoreactive proinsulin was detected in the periplasmic space and. culture medium, and not even in cytoplasmic space. The qualitative analysis of transcribed proinsulin mRNA and the in vitro transcription/translation experiment suggests that the negligible level of proinsulin export appears to be due to intracellular degradation of proinsulin, rather than due to the blockage during translocation. However, expression of proinsulin fusion protein such as MBP-proinsulin could dramatically increase export of proinsulin in E.coli.

  • This paper suggests a new scalar multiplication algerian to resist SPA which threatens the security of cryptographic primitive on the hardware recently, and discusses how to apply this algerian Our algorithm is better than other SPA countermeasure algorithms aspect to computational efficiency. Since known SPA countermeasure algorithms have dependency of computation. these are difficult to construct parallel architecture efficiently. To solve this problem our algorithm removes dependency and computes a multiplication and a squaring during inversion with parallel architecture in order to minimize loss of performance. We implement hardware logic with VHDL(VHSIC Hardware Description Language) to verify performance. Synthesis tool is Synplify Pro 7.0 and target chip is Xillinx VirtexE XCV2000EFGl156. Total equivalent gate is 60,508 and maximum frequency is 30Mhz. Our scalar multiplier can be applied to digital signature, encryption and decryption, key exchange, etc. It is applied to a embedded-micom it protects SPA and provides efficient computation.

  • Purpose : Suprapubic aspiration(SPA) has been considered the "gold standard" for obtaining urine in non-toilet trained infants. Ultrasound(US)-guided SPA improves the success rate of the procedure and reduces the complications. However, many physicians perceive SPA as invasive and prefer the use of urethral catheterization (Ucat). We compared the success rate, complications and accuracy of US-guided SPA and Ucat. Methods : 121 infants who visited Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital with suspected urinary tract infection(UTI) were investigated. For the first study, the study infants were randomly assigned to either the US-guided SPA(n=32) or Ucat(n=32) groups. The success rate and complications of both procedures were compared. For the second study, US-guided SPA and Ucat were performed simultaneously(n=57). The accuracy of urethral catheterization was subsequently analyzed. The criteria for success was defined as the collection of more than 0.5 mL of urine. UTI was diagnosed by the presence of uropathogens over 105 colony-forming units (CFU)/mL. Results : The overall success rate of the US-guided SPA was 96.9%(71.9% in first attempts, 25.0% in second attempts) which was not significantly different compared to 96.9%(90.6% in first attempts, 6.3% in second attempts) in the Ucat(P>0.05) group. The aspirated urine volume was $7.4{\pm}3.7mL$ in the US-guided SPA group, which was not significantly different to $4.5{\pm}2.6mL$ in the Ucat(P>0.05) group. The accuracy of Ucat in comparison to the US guided SPA was low with sensitivity 59.5%, specificity 86.6%, false-positive rate 13.3% and false-negative rate 40.5%. Conclusion : US-guided SPA should be encouraged as the best method to collect the urine in non-toilet trained infants with UTI.
