Fatigue Analysis for Fiber Right Angle Direction of FRP Deck (FRP 바닥판의 섬유직각 방향에 대한 피로해석)

  • Composite materials have high specific stiffness, specific strength than existing concrete or steel materials. It has superior dynamic properties when utilizing advantages of material such as Non-corrosive, light weight, non-conducting and it has superior mold ability which can make variable shapes. Thus, in the construction, for using composite materials as construction materials, the study carried out static strength of fiber right angle direction and fatigue performance of FRP deck member. The study is going to deduct S-N curve by analyzing the results comparatively and estimate long-term durability. From now on, the study is going to provide interpretation of FRP member and basic data of design basis, furthermore providing foundation technique of composite materials' application of structural frame is the goal of this study.

Corrosion Resistance Properties of Rice Husk Ash Blended Concrete

  • Portland cement incorporating supplementary cementing material develops excellent mechanical properties and long term durability characteristics. India is a leading rice producing country and rice husk is considered as waste in the rice milling industries. In this present work, the rice husk ash (RHA) was added to concrete as cement replacement from 0 to 30%. Corrosion performance of reinforcing steel embedded in RHA blended concretes was studied using linear polarization, AC impedance and gravimetric methods. The corrosion rate of steel bars embedded in RHA concretes were compared with control concrete. The results clearly indicate that the corrosion rate of reinforcing steel embedded in concrete is significantly reduced with the incorporation of RHA. A good correlation among gravimetric method and electrochemical methods was observed. Electrochemical impedance study showed 98 percentage reduction in corrosion rate to the RHA blended concrete with 15% replacement than control concrete.

  • The most recent building trend is going large, high rise, high strength as overlarge project is developing in domestic construction business. Belite cement has properties like low heat, excellent long term strength, and durability without admixture (fly ash, silica fume). So, Belite cement is suitable for mass structure which is needed high strength, high fluidity and low heat property. This study is to examine the possibility of site adoption microwave-use early strength estimation method. Based on the existed study related the portland cement, the interrelation between Belite cement and microwave-use early strength estimation method is required.

  • In this paper, I performed the IEC test in crystalline photovoltaic module described in test standard. And sometimes I changed the test sequence and impact factors for testing modules. Comparing the current test trees in IEC 61215, some ideas are suggested in proper test sequence to guarantee the long-term durability for 25 years.. The detail discussion will be shown in the following paper.

  • Two kinds of mutually cross-linkable copolymers were prepared to be used as humidity-sensing materials. The humidity-sensitive thin films consist of cross-linked polyelectrolytes of the following component: 4-vinylbenzyl dimethyl 2-(dimethylphosphino)ethyl phosphonium chloride (1)/ bis(2-methoxyethyl)itaconate (2)= 3/l, 2/l, 1/1 and 1/2 and 4-vinylbenzyl chloride (3)/ vinylbenzyl tributyl phosphonium chloride (4)= 3/l, 2/l, 1/1 and 1/2. The humidity sensor prepared from the reaction of 1/2= 2/l with 3/4= 2/l showed an average resistance of 723,36.2 and 2.42 ㏀ at 30, 60 and 90%RH, respectively. Temperature dependence, frequency dependence, and response time were measured and the reliability test such as water durability and long-term stability were also estimated.

  • Recently, 67% of defect and tenant lawsuits were identified as leaks due to cracks. In particular, when the final finish of the roof of a building is designed with base concrete, complex deterioration occurs due to the harsh environment such as shrinkage and expansion due to external temperature changes, freezing and thawing, and the use of calcium chloride due to snow accumulation. Therefore, it is intended to secure long-term durability by reducing cracks in the base concrete by using waste fibers, which are industrial by-products.

  • This research focuses on the study that micro-crack of concrete is repaired to use self-healing technology. Self-healing concrete is widely studied in domestic and international construction field recently. Micro-crack(less than 0.3mm)of concrete is repaired using a crack repair stick which containing self-healing agents. Therefore, the crack on construction structure will be easily repaired by using a crack repair stick. Also experiment was proceeded because of evaluating the long term durability.

  • A new field emission tip array was realized by Ti silicidation of Ti coated Si tip, which has long term durability, chemical stability, and high emission current density. The fabricated Ti silicided FE tip array under high vacuum condition of about $10^{-8}Torr$ shows that the turn-on voltage is about 40V and the emission current is about $69{\mu}A$ when the bias of 150V is applied between anode and cathode of $100{\mu}m$ distance.

  • The importance of floating photovoltaic systems has recently been emerging to address some issues arising from the installation of conventional ground-mounted photovoltaics. Floating photovoltaics have a few advantages such as cutting down land usage, reducing water evaporation or creating algae. Though there is still necessity to supplement with technical issues: mechanical stability, reliability and long-term durability of floaters and modules. In this paper, we focus the current level of packaging development and introduce research trends that could be applied to next-generation floating photovoltaics.

  • The development of MCFC is going to the second stage of development and recent studies have been focusing on long-term durability of cell component. Systematic investigation on corrosion behavior of Fe-based alloys has been done in (62+38) mol % (Li+K) $CO_3$ melt at 923K by using steady-state polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method. It was found that the corrosion current t of these Fe-based alloys decreased with increasing Cr, Al content.
