  • In the revised 2015 curriculum, it is emphasized that fostering of the students as the capable 'creativity-convergent' individuals can be achieved by offering them the opportunities to cultivate the basic knowledge in liberal arts, society and scientific technologies through schooling. While retaining the basic principle of 'fostering creative people', this fundamentally-reformed curriculum involves improvements in the elementary and middle school curriculums in response to the national and social demands in which active responses to the changes in the educational environments and amelioration of the problems posed in the field applications are required. Accordingly, a novel future-oriented curriculum is necessary for the classroom teaching, and to realize the goal, the 'Competence-oriented Social Multimedia Computer Network Curriculum' adopting the virtualization and the 'Bottom-up' methods has been proposed in this paper as a feasible and practical curriculum. Our curriculum will be compared with the recent Cisco high school curriculum and analyzed contemplating recent curriculums in US, UK, Japan and India. Two 1-year practice courses are examined to prove the validity of the proposed curriculum for a period of two years as a qualitative research project. The results of the comparative analysis will show that our proposed curriculum is superior to the Cisco high school curriculum in the aspects of economic feasibility and learning satisfaction.

Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 112 instructors in Korea from June to July, 2015. The statistical analyses include frequency, percentage and Mann-Whitney' U test using SPSS 12.0 program. The questionnaire comprised needs of curriculum(5 items), integrated curriculum(10 items). Results: Need of integrated curriculum in practice course was statistically significant in school system(p=0.048) and number of students(p=0.041). The enhancement of clinical competence was high in teaching experience($11{\leq}$)(p=0.009) and perceptions of problems was high in experience of teaching($10{\geq}$)(p=0.047). In integrated curriculum, enhancement of clinical competence was statistically significant in school system(p=0.035) and number of students(p=0.011). Increase of professionalism was high in University(p=0.021), number of students(p=0.006) and teaching experience($10{\geq}$)(p=0.062). Conclusions: In order to improve curriculum in each institutions, it is necessary to measure in the view of representative institutions dimensions.

The curriculum of 3 universities in Australia was compared with those of a four-year course in Korea. The 3 university are Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland Universities in Australia. Overall, the curriculum in Korea not only showed overlapping subjects, a shortage of clinical time and foundation science but, didn't deal with many subject to satisfy international recommendation. We suggest that a new curriculum should be based on the three parts which are foundation, essential divided into 6 areas and selection subject, particularly extended clinical experience to essentially need to be physical therapy in the world-standard.

Therefore, we would like to develop a curriculum for practical education and cultivate talented people capable of working in clinical practice at the same time. Methods: This study investigates the importance and utilization of the subjects by using qualitative and quantitative mixed research methods through interviews with FGI and structured questionnaires for grades 2,3,4. Results: In order to carry out the related work, all the subjects need more practical training, and the curriculum that can learn the latest prostheses such as CAD / CAM, implant, 3D printer, Conclusion: In order to carry out the related tasks immediately after graduation, practical education through improvement of curriculum is needed.

  • The background of this study is the observation that there is an increase in the number of elderly persons and the decrease in fertility rates, which may be related to the increase in the average age of the Korean people; accordingly, the national health insurance system changes every year following this pattern. However, this study investigates whether these changes are reflected in the dental hygiene curriculum. Data from the national health insurance system is reviewed for the last three years, and the recently published dental hygiene curriculum is selected, compared, and analyzed using a literature survey. The study is divided into two parts: information that is reflected in the dental hygiene curriculum and information that is not reflected in the dental hygiene curriculum, but which it is believed should be included. In addition, as the part reflected in the dental hygiene curriculum, it was stated in three subjects of dental implantology, dental prosthesis, and conservative dentistry, and there were four cases. Therefore, efforts should be made to ensure that the curriculum for dental hygiene students should reflect the changes in the national health insurance system so that students can more easily understand dental insurance claim processes.

  • In this study, we investigate the changes and realities of the content production process focusing on Image generation AI revolutions such as Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, and DELL-E, and examine the current status of related department operations at universities and Find out the status of the current curriculum. Through this, we suggest the need to produce AI-adaptive content talent through re-establishing the capabilities of content-related departments in art universities and quickly introducing curriculum. This is because it can be input into the efficient AI content development system currently being applied in industrial fields, and it is necessary to cultivate talent who can perform managerial and technical roles using various AI systems in the future. In conclusion, we will prepare cornerstone research to establish the university's status as a source of talent that can lead the content industry beyond the AI content production era, and focus on convergence capabilities and experience with the goal of producing convergence talent to cultivate AI adaptive content talent, suggests the direction of curriculum application for value creation.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the international trends of how the core competencies are reflected in mathematics curriculum, and to find the implications for the revision of Korean mathematics curriculum. For this purpose, the curriculum of the 9 countries including the U.S., Canada(Ontario), England, Australia, Poland, Singapore, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong were thoroughly reviewed. It was found that a variety of core competencies were reflected in mathematics curricula in the 9 countries such as problem solving, reasoning, communication, mathematical knowledge and skills, selection and use of tools, critical thinking, connection, modelling, application of strategies, mathematical thinking, representation, creativity, utilization of information, and reflection etc. Especially the four most common core competencies (problem solving, reasoning, communication, and creativity) were further analyzed to identify their sub components. Consequently, it was recommended that new mathematics curriculum should consider reflecting various core competencies beyond problem solving, reasoning, and communication, and these core competencies are supposed to combine with mathematics contents to increase their feasibility. Finally considering the fact that software education is getting greater attention in the new curriculum, it is necessary to incorporate computational thinking into mathematics curriculum.

Results: Korean schools currently lack a regular standardized health education curriculum. Subjects related to health education are presently taught in other disciplines, such as physical education, home management, biology, and other related subjects. The Korean health education curriculum suffers from many significant problems, including a lack of educational goals for health education, absence of designated time for health education, a lack of continuity between contents, knowledge-oriented health education, and an overall disconnect with the needs of the students. Other problems include an exclusion of health education experts in the development of the curriculum, no designated times for health education within the regular curriculum, and a lack of health teachers in schools. Conclusion: To improve health education in schools, standard health education curriculum should be developed. Health education curriculum needs to be sequential, comprehensive, and skill-based. Health education needsto be a essential subject, health teachers need to be trained, and provided with technical support.

  • This study developed an integrative curriculum design plan for Home Economics through a deliberation method. This study established a research framework to integrate the deliberation models of Schwab, Walker, and Reid that inherited the intellectual tradition of curriculum deliberation along with the practical reasoning process of Brown and Paolucci from a critical science perspective. The practical research problem was formulated as "What should be done to develop a Home Economics integrative curriculum?" To address this practical research problem, deliberation with deliberators of each small, medium, and large groups was processed for the development of integrative curriculum design plans. An initial proposal was developed from small group deliberation processes. An initial proposal was examined and an alternative plan was developed from medium group deliberation processes. An alternative plan and its consequence were re-examined from large group deliberation processes. The authors finalized a proposal organized on four valued ends of self-formation, intersubjectivity, social action, and life skills. A practical problem focused integrative curriculum was developed and proposed to pursue the four valued ends. The suggested final practical problem focused curriculum demonstrates the power of Home Economics to contribute to the advancement of individuals, families, and society as well as the practical empowerment of students.
