중학교 과학과 교육과정 및 그 운영진단I -교육과정 목표 및 목표도달도- (An Analysis and Survey on the status of the Korean Middle School Science Curriculum: The Science Objectives and Their Achievement)

  • To figure out the present status of Korean middle school science curriculum in the national level is not an easy job. especially in the restricted condition such as this research project. Therefore, to achieve a meaningful result, the case study type of research was adopted In the study five middle schools (2boy's and 3girl's)were selected and examined intensively. In this study, two major works were done. One was the analysis of the present middle school science curriculum and the other was to examine the current status of the administration of the curriculum in schools. This first study focused on the evaluation of the current Curriculum. Acording to the result, the objectives stated in the teachers guide and implied by the testbook were heavily concentrated on the knowledge level in Boom's taxonomy. Achievement on the objectives which were selected as important were very low. The average pass rate for the selected objectives was less than 50% of the students. This means the content level of the present science curriculum is not appropriate. The study suggested that the present middle school science curriculum should be revised and the content should be replaced with easier topics to match the students cognitive level. The study also suggested further studies to measure the cognitive level of Korean students in national scale.

Relationship of Socioeconomic Status and Food Intake to Cognitive Status of the Older Population

  • This study was done to investigate the relationship of socioeconomic status and food intake to cognitive status of the older population. The subjects of this study consisted of 214 older persons aged 60 - 84 years. Interviews were conducted using the health-related habits and food frequency questionnaires to provide basic information for nutrition education program. We evaluated the current food consumption-pattern and cognitive status of the subjects. The results of this study were as follows: Mean age of the subjects was 69.7${\pm}$7.4 years. The average cognitive function score of the subjects was 7.9${\pm}$2.0 (full score was 10.0). Male had a higher cognitive status score than female. There was significant difference between cognitive status score and age, education level, pocket money, physical activity and family type. The subjects who had a higher cognitive status score ate more fish and meats group and milk and milk products than the subjects that had a lower cognitive status score. These results have demonstrated that various socioeconomic variables and food intake pattern affect on cognitive status with aging and suggest that proper nutrition education and adequate nutrient intake in quality and quantity are essential in maintaining cognitive status in later life.

국내 의과대학의 국제보건교육 현황과 요구분석 (What Are the Current Status and Educational Needs of Global Health Education in Medical Schools? A Nationwide Survey in Korea)

  • This study investigated the current status and educational needs of global health education (GHE) at medical schools in Korea. Among the 40 medical schools nationwide, 32 schools that agreed to participate in the study collected data through a survey in 2022, and the results were examined by frequency analysis and content analysis. In total, 87.5% of medical schools included global health-related graduation outcomes. In the curriculum, global health lessons within courses were present at 71.9% of medical schools. Regarding extracurricular activities, 66.7% and 63.0% of medical schools offered overseas clerkships and overseas volunteer work, respectively. Although there were not many medical schools with a global health-related educational environment, 96.9% of schools agreed with the necessity of GHE in medical education. The prevailing opinion was that it was appropriate to continuously cover GHE as lessons within courses throughout all years of the program in medical education. The main opinions regarding the improvement of GHE related to curriculum development, personnel expansion, and awareness improvement at medical schools. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for identifying the current status of GHE at Korean medical schools and specifying future directions of GHE.

전국 한의과대학(원)의 진료수행평가(CPX) 현황과 향후 과제 (The current status and future operations of Clinical Performance Evaluation (CPX) in the nationwide colleges (graduate schools) of Traditional Korean Medicine)

  • To analyze current status of CPX in colleges of Traditional Korean Medicine nationwide and investigate the operations required for its development and distribution, we investigate current status of CPX in the nationwide colleges of Traditional Korean Medicine and suggest an improvement plan. A total of 7 colleges (graduate schools) performed CPX using the standardized patients as of July 2020 out of 13 colleges (graduate schools). Because there are a significant number of CPX modules developed by the colleges of Traditional Korean Medicine, a wide array of characteristics of Traditional Korean Medicine are covered, based on the literatures of Traditional Korean medicine. The scope of Clinical Presentation should established and a CPX module should be standardized to expand and distribute CPX in the education of Traditional Korean Medicine. If multiple colleges collect, train and manage the standardized patients in cooperation, CPX could be performed more effectively. Furthermore, medical clinical performance guide for Traditional Korean Medicine should be developed in cooperation. Greater support in the form of manpower, finance, and administration are required to distribute CPX to all colleges and develop various CPX modules.

시민단체와 공공기관의 사회환경교육 현황 -담당자의 환경에 대한 인식과 태도 조사를 통하여- (A Comparative Study on Nonformal Environmental Education Status between Civil Organizations and Public Organizations)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine and compare the current status of nonformal environmental education between civil and public organization. This study utilized a survey methodology, The survey was developed by the researchers and it has 4 subscales. The subjects consisted of 28 persons who are in charge of environmental education in civil organizations and 31 persons in public organizations. Descriptive statistics provided frequencies and percents for all demographic variables and items. Based on the findings of this study, it is firstly recommended that the government support environmental education policy that prioritizes nonformal environmental education for civil and public organizations. Secondly, both civil and public organizations should make continuing efforts for better nonformal environmental education programs and come up with practical ways to improve ability and quality of the staffs in the civil and public organizations by providing systematic reeducation programs and practical guidelines that would be applied to their daily lives.

  • 본 연구는 성인지적 관점을 기반으로 여성장애인의 역량강화를 위한 지역사회 중심의 정보화교육 지원방안을 고찰하였다. 첫째 과학기술정보통신부가 조사한 2018년도 '디지털정보격차 실태조사'를 활용하여 남성장애인과 여성장애인의 디지털정보격차의 현황을 파악하여 문제를 제기하였으며 둘째, 여성장애인 정보화격차 해소를 위한 법적 근거로서, 여성장애인을 위한 정보화교육지원 관련법을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 여성장애인이 이용할 수 있는 정보화교육지원 현황을 바탕으로 여성장애인종합지원센터 설치, 장애유형을 고려한 방문교육, 학습능력을 고려한 맞춤형 정보화 교육 개발 및 지원, 정보화 관련 지역사회 자원발굴 등 지역사회 중심의 역량강화 기반 여성장애인 정보화 교육 지원 방안을 제시 하였다.

A study on the current status of the education program for the Chung-Nam 6th industrialization: using AHP

  • In Korea, the $6^{th}$ industrialization in the agricultural sector has increased farmers' income and value-added agricultural products. Local governments, including Chungcheongnam-do, as well as the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, introduced the $6^{th}$ industrialization to the agricultural sector and operated various programs for the $6^{th}$ industrialization in the agricultural sector. Recently, the capacity of human resources for the $6^{th}$ industrialization in the agricultural sector became one of the important problems which might limit the effect of the $6^{th}$ industrialization in Korea. Chungcheongnam-do introduced an education program in 2018 to improve the capacity of people who work for the $6^{th}$ industrialization in the agricultural sector. However, researchers have rarely studied or discussed the current status of this education program. The aims of this paper were to analyze the current status of the education program for the $6^{th}$ industrialization in the agricultural sector through a survey, frequency analysis and analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and to present a way to improve the effect of the education program. The results of this study are as follows: First, the students in the education program were generally satisfied with the lectures and achieved knowledge and social networking among the students. Second, practical lectures, including practice and field experience, need to be expanded for the students instead of theory lectures. Third, networking between students and experts should be strengthened.

초등학교 도서관 이용자교육에 대한 전담인력의 인식조사 연구 (A Study on the School Library Staffs'Perceptions on the Operation of Elementary School Library User Education)

  • 이 연구는 경남지역 초등학교 도서관의 이용자교육 현황과 이에 대한 전담인력의 인식을 조사한 다음, 학교도서관 이용자교육의 개선방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 경남지역 학교도서관 중 전담인력이 배치되어 있는 168개 학교도서관 중 설문조사에 응한 120개관을 연구대상으로 선정하였으며, 89개관이 응답하였다. 이용자교육의 내용과 방법, 이용자교육에 대한 사서교육의 이수 현황, 이용자교육에 대한 전담인력의 이해와 관심도, 이용자교육의 필요성과 효과에 대한 전담인력의 인식, 이용자교육의 방향에 대한 전담인력의 인식 등을 조사내용으로 포함하였다. 조사 결과를 토대로 하여 학교도서관 이용자교육을 개선하기 위한 방안으로 1) 이용자교육을 위한 사서교육 기회의 확대, 2) 학년별 내용과 수준을 다양화한 교육자료의 개발과 보급, 3) 이용자교육을 위한 정규교육 시간의 편성, 4) 이용자교육에 대한 역량 강화를 위한 지속적인 노력 등을 제안하였다.

가족생활교육으로서의 재무교육의 현황 및 과제 -지역 건강가정지원센터의 프로그램을 중심으로- (Developing Financial Education Programs for Better Family Life Education in the Healthy Family Support Centers)

  • The purpose of this study was to emphasize the household financial education as a part of family life education, especially when provided at local community level; it also examines diverse measures by which to deliver such education. To this end, the current study focuses on the education programs of a healthy family support center, which has been established as a representative transmission system. The current status of its operations was examined, and practical measures by which to stimulate the delivery of financial education within that center were derived. In more detail, previous studies inside and outside of Korea were examined, and the current status of financial education included in the area of family life education was assessed; as a result of these assessments, the definition and objectives of financial education as family life education were adjusted. The limits of financial education that has been delivered thus far were reviewed, with the aim of proposing measures by which to sufficiently stimulate the delivery of financial education programs-programs that ultimately reflect the healthy family philosophy. This study proposes four specific measures by which to stimulate financial education. The first is the application of 'life cycle perspectives' to educational terms. The second is the activation of financial education programs that involve the family unit as educational subjects. Third, the delivery of lectures which related to the financing and nurturing of program coordinators was proposed. The fourth is drawing a connection between online and offline education in terms of effectively applying teaching methods. Ultimately, the results of this study can be used as basic data to inform the planning, development, and operational stages of financial education programs within family life education, which can be performed in healthy family support centers in the future.

중등학교 환경과 교사 임용고사 제도의 문제점과 개선방안 (Current Status and Ways for Improvement of the Examination System for the Employment of Environmental Education Teachers in Secondary Schools)

  • In this study, the current status and the desirable ways for improvement of the examination system for the employment of the environmental education teachers in the secondary school were investigated. For the study, first, problems and reasons, and the counterplan of policy on the teacher connected directly with the examination employing secondary school teachers through exploration of the related literatures were analyzed; second, it was identified that the essential quality which environmental education teachers should have ready; third, the curriculum of environmental education teacher training universities and the seventh environmental curriculum were examined to provide a basis of discussion on the principle of setting questions for the employment of environmental education teachers; fourth, the number of recruitment, the number of examinee, the principle of setting questions, the composition of questions, and the distribution of scores of the examination which were carried out in the school year 2000 and 2001 were compared and analyzed; finally, the basis of the above analyses, recommendations to consider the examination system for the employment of environmental education teachers in the secondary school were presented as follows: first, the team managing the examination for the employment should reflect the aims and special contents of environmental education to discuss and decide the principle of setting questions on the environmental course; second, the proportion of subject matter education in the examination for environmental education teachers should be increased; third, the validity of questions for the examination should be clarified and the difficulty level of the questions should be low.
