  • In this paper, we consider a representative integral imaging method in glasses-free 3D image processing and propose a prioritized transmission scheme for guaranteeing a received video quality in error-prone environments. According to the correlation of pixels consisting of each voxel of integral image, we set the priority differently and apply the modulation level according to this priority value. That is to say, the corresponding pixels with small variance are set to a high priority and transmitted by using a low level modulation that is robust under transmission errors, but the corresponding pixels with greater variance are set to a lower priority and transmitted by using a high level modulation that has a high bit error rate but fast transmission rate. Result shows that the proposed scheme that applies the error-robust modulation level to the important image bit stream with the high priority improves the peak to sidelobe ratio (PSR) of the received 3D image, compared with a typical method that use the same modulation level without distinction of priorities.

  • Objective: Tibetan pigs, an excellent species unique to China, face serious threats, which in turn affects the development and utilization of the outstanding advantages of plateau hypoxia adaptability and reduces their genetic diversity. Therefore, a discussion of measures to conserve this genetic resource is necessary. The method, based on genetic diversity, genetic divergence and total genetic contribution rate of population, reflects the priority conservation order and varies depending on the three different purposes of conservation. Methods: We analyzed mitochondrial DNA control region (D-loop) variation in 1,201 individuals from nine Tibetan pig populations across five provinces and downloaded 564 mtDNA D-loop sequences from three indigenous pig breeds in Qinghai, Sichuan, and Yunnan Provinces distributed near the Tibetan pigs. Results: We analyzed three different aspects: Changdu Tibetan pigs have the highest genetic diversity, and from the perspective of genetic diversity, the priority conservation is Changdu Tibetan pigs. Hezuo Tibetan pigs have the highest genetic contribution, so the priority conservation is Hezuo Tibetan pigs in the genetic contribution aspect. Rkaze Tibetan pigs were severely affected by indigenous pig breeds, so if considering from the perspective of introgression, the priority conservation is Rkaze Tibetan pigs. Conclusion: This study evaluated genetic diversity and comprehensively assessed conservation priority from three different aspects in nine Tibetan pig populations.

  • The RPN provides information which includes the risk level and the priority order of maintenance tasks for components. However, if there is no sufficient historical failure data, the historical failure data from other sources can be applied to the target system. And if we use historical data from other sources without any process, there will be concomitant problems according to a discord of each system characteristic, a difference between the present and the date of failure data, etc. In this paper, a new methodology is proposed to model the failure rate as a fuzzy function to resolve these problems. Taking advantage of this result, the RPN can be calculated by using the fuzzy operation. The proposed method is applied to the substation system.

  • Recently, IoT has been studying a lightweight protocol to satisfy device communication in a limited network environment. MQTT is a typical lightweight protocol. It supports small fixed headers to minimize overhead, and adopts publish/subscribe structure to guarantee real-time performance. However, MQTT does not support prioritization of important data and can not provide QoS in a specific IoT service. In this paper, we propose a message processing method to consider the priority of various IoT services in MQTT. In the proposed method, the priority flag is added to the fixed header of the MQTT in the node to transmit the message, and the broker confirms the priority of the corresponding message and processes it preferentially. Through experiment and evaluation, we confirmed the reduction of end-to-end delay between nodes according to priority.

  • This study was conducted to analyze the type and priority order of forest functions that is suitable in assessing a private forest. A questionnaire survey of experts group and forest officers from the city and county office was conducted and the appropriateness of forest functions type and priority order of function were assessed. Based on the survey conducted, they mostly agreed that it is necessary to change the name of forest functions and integrate the forest functions. Four classifications of forest functions were presented: resources rotation, water yield, living environment, and forest conservation. As the variety of organizations and geographical areas determine which forest functions are the priority, it is necessary to determine which function will become the priority order according to geographical areas, instead of simply dividing the forest functions into national and publicly owned forest when assessing the forest functions of private forests across the nation.

  • This paper considers the performance of a dynamic priority control function (DPCF) of a threshold-based Bernoulli priority jump (TBPJ) scheme. Loss-sensitive and delay-sensitive traffics are applied to a system with a TBPJ scheme that is a general state-dependent Bernoulli scheduling scheme. Loss-sensitive and delay-sensitive traffics represent sound and data, respectively. Under the TBPJ scheme, the first packet of the loss-sensitive traffic buffer goes into the delay-sensitive traffic buffer with Bernoulli probability p according to system states which represent the buffer thresholds and the number of packets waiting for scheduling. Performance analysis shows that TBPJ scheme obtains large performance build-up for the delay-sensitive traffic without performance degradation for the loss-sensitive traffic. TBPJ scheme shows also better performance than that of HOL scheme.

  • The purpose of this study are to examine the difference between the recognition and the satisfaction of CRM marketing's order of priority based on consumers type, and to define how both employees' recognition of priority and the performance influence on industry's financial and non-financial effect. As a result, a subjected industry turned out that the recognition of priority and satisfaction based on consumers type were different from each other, and employees' recognition of CRM marketing's of priority was different but it showed the both party's priority were same. The compared result between consumers' satisfaction and employees' recognition of performance is that employee's evaluation is overrated in proportion to consumers' satisfaction. Furthermore, among CRM marketing's priority, differentiating and sustainability of customers influenced on financial and non-financial appraisal but customers satisfaction did not.

  • In this study, the algorithm for priority area of forest fire surveillance was developed to enhance the effectiveness of fire detection. The high priority surveillance area for forest fire detection was defined as the area with not only low value of viewshed analysis of the lookouts and detection cameras but also high fire occurrence probability. To build the priority map, fuzzy function and map algebra were used. The analysis results of Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, showed that the surveillance priority of central and southern area is higher than north area. This algorithm could be used in the allocation of fire prevention resources and selection of suitable point for new fire detection system.

  • Wireless LAN(Local Area Network) environment to support QoS in IEEE802.11 Working Group has standardized on the IEEE 802.11e. IEEE 802.11e EDCA channel access of the high priority traffic as by raising the probability of a chance to support QoS. This is a high priority traffic than low priority traffic, channel access is not necessarily the first. Therefore, as all traffic channels, if you have the same routing path, lower priority traffic on the performance of high priority traffic, sustainable impact. As a result, EDCA, such as voice or video to guarantee QoS for multimedia applications, follow the crowd. In this paper, to solve these problems by using Multi-Interface Multi-Path Routing Algorithm is proposed. Interface for each use in IEEE 802.11e EDCA Access Category much differently by each of the Routing Path for high priority traffic and guarantee QoS.

  • The Current CORBA shows some limitations for its successful deployment in real time system applications. Recently, OMG adopted Real-Time CORBA specification, which is defined as an extension to CORBA. The goal of the Real-Time CORBA is to provide a standard for CORBA ORB implementations that support 'end to end predictability'. In order to support 'end-to-end predictability', Real Time CORBA specifies many components such as priority model, communication protocol configuration, thread management, and etc. Among them, 'priority model' is the most important mechanism for avoiding or bounding priority inversion in CORBA invocations. In this paper, we present our efforts on a design ,and implementation of the Priority Model in Real-Time CORBA specification. The implementation is done as an extension of omniORB2(v.3.0.0), a popular open source non real time ORB. Experiment results demonstrate that our priority model implementation shows better performance and predictability than the non real-time ORB.
