The matrix hypercube MH(2,n) is the interconnection network which improves the network cost of the hypercube. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for one-to-all broadcasting in the matrix hypercube MH(2,n). The algorithm can broadcast a message to 22n nodes in O(n) time. The algorithm uses the rich structure of the matrix hypercubes and works by recursively partitioning the original matrix hypercubes into smaller matrix hypercubes.

These days, hair design is recognized as a kind of molding arts which peform expression skill to create personal self as well as practical skill. Recently, the efforts to express hair design sublimating it to art works have continued. For these reasons, this study had purposes as follows; First, it developed creative and original design producing works to shape the flower image that was an important material of hair design. Second, it presented the possibility to express the field of hair design with art. In the flow of age, nature has provided design with unlimited creative motive. Flowers, among various materials, show the nature's change, combination and order and impose diverse symbolic meanings. Therefore, flowers are good materials to express the works. Through the process of decolorizing and dyeing with hair, five works of nature's fragrance, hope, reed flowers, windflower, magnolia blossom had been produced. The results of the process were as follows; First, the transformation of shape through the simple process taking the image of shaping flower as subject matter could be a motive of new hair design art. Second, if the various images of flowers were expressed as hair art with three-dimensional shape, it could be works with value of beauty. Through the process of this study, it was proved that nature could be endless subject matter for art. Therefore, with continuous studies, it can be motive of developing designs in producing work activities of many hair designers. In addition, academic development will be achieved through wide and diverse studies.

This paper gives on overview of register windowing structure and presents advantages and limitations. Based on these advantages and disadvantages, an original approach for the design of large register file is presented, analyzed and compared with existing approaches. The advantages and disadvantages of this new approach to register file design are discussed, and conditions under which it works better than the existing approaches are outlined. Design tradeoffs are examined in an analytic and empirical study, and the results of which are summarized in the conclusion of this paper.

An integrated charger is used for bi-directional power conversion between an electric vehicle and a power grid. The proposed integrated charger works in a way that motor windings are utilized as filter inductances for charging/discharging of batteries in addition to the original purpose of motor drives. After a mathematical model of the integrated charger based on an dual winding induction machine (DWIM) is discussed, a current control method is designed for grid connection. The effectiveness of the proposed method is examined with simulation results.

This study focused on the literary world of T. Tolstaya, a Russian writer who takes a crucial position in contemporary Russian literature, drawing upon the wrier's a couple of short stories. 'Youth' is a key motive encompassing all works of Tolstaya, so that it becomes the poetic keynote among her literary works. In order to examine such distinctions of the main characters' world awareness in their youth as shown in Tolstaya's literary works, Chapter 2 of this paper paid a special attention to the analyse of her representative works such as "Sitting on a Golden Terracing Stone" and "Meeting with a Bird", and expressed potential implications of youth with mimetic imagination for her. For Tolstaya, youth is perceived as a paradise but original imagination of youth gradually fades away in adult and ends up with a lost paradise. This is why Tolstaya uses poetic means based on nostalgia for youth like paradise and literary motto for recovery of imagination in youth. In this regard, this study particularly examined the retrospective prologue resisting the power of time as well as different fictional characters living in her own fantastic world. As a result, this study draws a conclusion that such longing and nostalgia for youth and lost paradise as delineated by Tolstaya through retrospective prologue and characters speak for an existential speculation that explores any profound implication of afflictions in reality of human life, rather than focusing on the painful reality of human life which consists of honest dialogues with realities like 'darkness' and 'pain.' In addition, this study, complying with Zolotonosov's ideas which deal with and define Tolstaya's literary works as a shabby and humble box invisibly containing a full wealth of precious jewels inside, sheds a new light on the writer's literary world.

A swept volume is a useful tool for solving various types of interference problems. Previous works have concentrated on sweeping an object along an arbitrary path, that results in complex algorithms. This paper concerns the volume swept by translating an object along a linear path. After analyzing the structure of the swept volume, we present an incremental algorithm for constructing a swept volume. Our algorithm takes O(n/sup 2/ *.alpha.(n)+T/sub c/) time where n is the number of vertices in the original object and T/sub c/ is time for handling face cycles.

The rechargeable alkaline manganese dioxide(RAM)battery system has reached a performance level that enables the consumer to utilize RAM for practically all applications where currently single use cells(alkaline manganese, zinc-carbon)are being used. In addition, it can replace nickel-cadmium and nickel-metal hydride cells in low to medium power applications with much improved charge retention at higher operating temperatures and in intermittent use and works well with solar charging. A review is given on RAM cell performance as well as a comparison to competing rechargeable technologies. Potential new possibilities in the field of OEM(original equipment manufacturer) applications are discussed.

To express the original texture of the concrete, exposed concrete finishing technique has been applied in many buildings. However, it is likely to cause quality problems after construction is completed. In addition, because of costs and time issues, reconstruction and maintenance works are difficult and ineffective. Therefore, step-by-step proactive quality management based on sufficient consensus among participants(client, designer, contractor) is very importatnt. This study analyzed factors causing low quality exposed concrete and quality contol points applied to 'A' headquarter construction project.

The original plant for a medicine, Forsythia collected from Wui-Sung country, Kyungsangpuk-do, Korea, was identified as Forsythia viridissima by its characteristic greenish bark and clearly square stem as observed from the culture works at the Forest Experiment Station of Sung Kyung Kwan University. F. viridissima, an indigenic plant of China, is believed to be introduced to Korea as a nursary stock or brought by seeds sometime in the past. In Korea at present two other species of Forsythia, namely, F. suspensaa and F. japonica have also been cultured besides F. viridissima as an ornamental.

This paper establishes necessary and sufficient conditions for a bi-amalgamation to inherit the S-Noetherian property. The new results compare to previous works carried on various settings of duplications and amalgamations, and capitalize on recent results on bi-amalgamations. Our results allow us to construct new and original examples of rings satisfying the S-Noetherian property.
