The purpose of this study is considering about the fashion of Korean National Flag in the point of view of sociology and philosophy. The contents are the philosophy of the Korean National Flag-'Taegk', the Great Absolute in Korean philosophy, and the historical fashion trend of The Korean National Flag. The results of characteristics of The Korean National Flag are summarized as following; 1. The Korean National Flag contains 'Taegk' philosophy, the source of the dual principle 'Yn' and 'Yang'. 2. The design of 'Taegk' has been showed in Korean society traditionally. 3. The fashion of Korean National Flag dramatically is changed after Korea/Japan World cup 2002. 4. The Korean National Flag is the strong symbol of Korean society, affirmatively, same as the American National Flag.

Diallel analysis was conducted with FI's derived from crossing in all combinations without reciprocals among six rice varieties; three tropical japonica and three temperate japonica varieties, with different traits associated with panicle and flag leaf. Epistasis was observed in the number of primary branches (PB) per panicle and of spikelets per panicle, while flag leaf length, flag leaf color, PB length and neck node thickness were explained with the additive-dominance model. The estimated genetic mode of flag leaf length and PB length was a positive complete dominance model with high heritability, and that of flag leaf color and neck node thickness was an incomplete dominance model. In particular, tropical japonica varieties with low-tillering and heavy-panicle appear to have higher number of dominant genes for flag leaf length and PB length than temperate japonica varieties.

The purpose of this study is to discuss the modern fashion design that incorporates national flags, by each country, methods of their expressions and distinct characteristics. Moreover, it intends to contribute in creating the image of Korea and our own unique fashion identity through creative designs that coincides with the modern trend by adopting Taegeukgi. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: The American flag and the British Union Jack were molt widely used and even though it was less frequent, flags of the France, Korea, Israel, Germany as well as Argentina have been featured in modern fashion. The expression methods also varied and it demonstrated the unlimited options as to how a flag can be presented. Some used the traditional flag as is. Some only used a portion of a flag or its colors as a motive or sometimes the flags were completely redesigned. There are distinctive characteristics when flags are incorporated into fashion. First, the shapes or colors of the flags were used to emphasize the image of a country in rather simple silhouette without many details. Second, through altered shapes, shades, colors or rearrangement, the country's image is presented in more subtle, indirect manner. Third, a flag is a mere element of a formation with various changes to its shape or color, and it no longer holds the traditional significance of a flag. It may also represent the playful or ironic image by combining with other items or execution techniques.

This study aims to intensively analyze the effect of ESG activities on the Business performance focused on Korean national flag carrier. The purpose of this study is to provide ESG activities to promote the sustainable development of Korean national flag carriers by verifying the impact of ESG on airline's business performance through mediate variables within the airline industry in consideration of the value and importance of ESG. A survey is conducted with a total of 272 users of Korea's national flag carrier both Korean air and Asiana airline. The collected data is analyzed using a structural equation model. The results show that ESG management has an indirect positive effect on business performance. It is expected that the results of this study may be employed as fundamental data to emphasize the relative importance of an ESG activities, thereby enhancing the Korean national flag carrier's business management and eliciting a positive impact on sustainable growth.

The energy harvesting system using an inverted flag is analyzed by using an immersed boundary method to consider the fluid and solid interaction. The inverted flag flutters at a lower critical velocity than a conventional flag. A fluttering motion is classified into straight, symmetric, asymmetric, biased, and over flapping modes. The optimal energy harvesting efficiency is observed at the biased flapping mode. Using the three different machine learning algorithms, i.e., artificial neural network, random forest, support vector regression, the energy harvesting efficiency is predicted by taking bending rigidity, inclination angle, and flapping frequency as input variables. The R² value of the artificial neural network and random forest algorithms is observed to be more than 0.9.

We prove that the two-step flag variety 𝓕ℓ(1, n; n+1) carries a non-displaceable and non-monotone Lagrangian Gelfand-Zeitlin fiber diffeomorphic to S³ × T^2n-4 and a continuum family of non-displaceable Lagrangian Gelfand-Zeitlin torus fibers when n > 2.

Internal Waters refer to the waters located at the landward side of a baseline and is completely under the sovereignty of a coastal state. However, the right of innocent passage of foreign-flag vessels is recognized in internal waters that are newly incorporated by establishing a straight baseline. Korea has a massive Internal Waters on its south-western coast where the straight baseline is adopted and has a wide Internal Waters that allows innocent passage. A foreign-flag vessel navigating the internal waters must be properly managed according to the interest of the coastal states such as the fishing·safety·security·environment around the Korean coast. Additionally, Territorial Sea comes under the sovereignty of a coastal state and it is a very important sea area for managing the interests of the coastal states. However, several collision accidents involving illegally anchored or drifted foreign-flag vessels have been occurring recently in the Korean Internal Waters and Territorial Sea, and such accidents are a threat to its interests. Thus, this paper analyzes the cases of collision of foreign-flag vessels that anchored or drifted without authorization, and examines domestic·international laws on the passage of foreign-flag vessel through Internal Waters and Territorial Waters. Finally, this paper suggests that unauthorized anchoring of foreign-flag vessels in Korean Internal Waters and Territorial Water violates the requirements for innocent passage and this violation is punishable according to related Acts; a desirable improvement plan for the legal system of passage through Internal Waters and Territorial Waters.

Foreign maritime officers were employed in Korean flag ocean-going merchant ships since the year of 2005. And the number of foreign maritime officers in Korean ship has been rapidly increased, and it approaches 700 recently. The shortage of Korean maritime officers was mainly claimed the reason of employing foreign maritime officers in Korean flag ship. In this paper, we surveyed the number of newly supplied officers from every Korean training institution, the number of officers on-board, on-leave, on-job hunting, and the number of officers leaving their job every year. And then we analysed supply-demand situation of Korean maritime officers for Korean flag ocean-going ships for reasonable decision-making in relation with employing foreign maritime officers.

Since the past, ships have hoisted national flags as a means of indicating their nationality. Both domestically and internationally, laws and conventions related to the nationality and hoisting of the flag have been enacted because it is significant that the nationality of a ship is a matter of the jurisdiction of the ship. Nevertheless, there are differences in domestic and international regulations related to the hoisting of the flag of a ship, and if the flag is not hoisted irrespective of the intention, there may be a difference in interpretation as to whether or not the ship will be regarded unconditionally as a stateless ship. However, there is no disagreement locally or abroad about the necessity of indicating the nationality of ships. Therefore, I would like to propose a method to indicate and confirm the nationality of the ship by using wireless communication equipment with hoisting the flag as the only way to express its nationality, reflecting the situation of the era such as high-speed, larger and unmanned ship. Representatively, the method utilizes the automatic identification system(AIS), which is one of the equipment legally installed in the ship, and includes the ship's nationality in its information. If the nationality information is included in the AIS, nationality can be identified earlier and even from a distance, and there will not be instances of nationality not being identified because the flag is not hoisted or the flag is damaged. In addition, it is expected that the problem of nationality indication can be solved even when vessels are unmanned in future.
