uniform temperature. The surfaces of the block are taken at a constant higher temperature. The channel walls are assumed to be adiabatic. Results on the time-dependent temperature field are obtained and averaged over a cycle of pulsation. The effect of the important governing parameters, such as the Strouhal number on the flow and the heat transfer is investigated in detail. The results indicate that the recirculating flow behind the block are substantially affected by the pulsation frequency. These, in turn, have a strong influence on the thermal transport from the heated element to the pulsating flow. The frequency at which the enhancement is maximum is determined.

The traffic volume on the road shows various trends reflecting regional characteristics for monthly and hourly, and economic loss affecting users varies according to the selected period for the maintenance of road pavements. Therefore, in this study, the user cost (or delay cost) for monthly and hourly on the work zone near the Maesang Bridge Section on Poseung-Gu, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do was calculated using the time series models and VISSIM, and based on the result, the effect of user cost reduction according to the selection of best maintenance period was examined. The analysis result showed that the month of the lowest user cost occurred due to the maintenance of target section was January (10,293,258 KRW/Day×1km) and the month of the greatest user cost occurred was November (13,337,495 KRW/Day×1km).

The discharge characteristics of a ramp reset waveform in the alternating current plasma display panel(ac PDP) were studied using a 2-dimensional numerical simulation. We analyzed the wall charge variation during the reset discharge, address discharge and sustain discharge adopting a ramp reset waveform. Then we investigated the principal parameters for a successful discharge. In this paper, we suggest a new parameter, printing particles' density and its effects on the stability of the ramp discharge. The maximum current flows of the three electrodes during the ramp reset period were decreased with the increase in the priming particles's density which was explained with the wall charge characteristics and the current flow characteristics obtained by a 2-D simulation.

The purpose of this study is to identify the situation of leisure preferences, the effect of related variables on the leisure preferences, and the relationship between leisure preferences and participations of urban married women. The survey of this research was conducted by means of interviews with 606 married women in Seoul. The instruments of the survey were questionnaires including a leisure preferences scale. Data were analysed by means of the statistics of frequency, mean, standard deviation, ANOVA, and Sheffe’s multiple range test, using the SPSS program. The results were as follows: The most preferred leisure type by urban married women is family oriented activities, especially conversations with family and playing with children. The level of leisure preferences differs according to related variables. The most distinctive variable on leisure preferences is the sex role of women. The relationship between leisure preferences and participations differs according to leisure activities and types. Especially in the area of religion/ social activities and self-developing activities, preferences on leisure activities has relatively strong relationship with participations on leisure activities.

The objective of the present study is to actively control the flame oscillation in the experimental lean premixed methane burner by the phase-controlled sound waves. The authors propose the methodology of generating the phase-controlled sound waves by directly sensing the preferential frequency and generating the sensor-triggered sound waves with fixed optimum phase difference with the flame oscillation. The real-time controller is implemented in the present study, and the combustion noise reduction is achieved. The reduction is 20dB at peak frequency and 13dB in the OASPL.

This study is to make good acoustic environment around Gwang-ju riverside and performed survey and measurement of soundscape. The survey was focused on the types of sound producing. The results of measurement and analysis are as follows: 1) The types of sound at reverside were twenty and the Leq(equivalent noise level) was ranging from 50 dB(A) to 76 dB(A). The dominant sound was road traffic noise. 2) In the upperstream and the downstream, the sound of wind, bird and water was observed. 3) In the inner city, the water sound was produced by the difference of the height of the weir to mask the road traffic noise.

A general procedure for the design sensitivity analysis of structural dynamic problems has been presented in frame of the FRF-based substructuring formulation. In the procedure, the direct differentiation method is used for the sensitivity formula. For a system response function, the proposed method gives a parametric design sensitivity formula in terms of the partial derivatives of the connection element properties and the transfer matrix of the subsystems. The derived design sensitivity formula is applied to a numerical example. The comparison of sensitivities derived by the proposed method and the finite difference method shows that the proposed method is efficient and accurate.

The post-production of smart farming defines the stage that the final products are delivered from producer to consumers via market on ICT network. It deals with the process of product packaging and distribution from producer to consumer with marketing strategy. This focus on reference model for post-production service including specialization, centralization of product delivery, and just-in-time delivery, and marketing system on the network. It defines a significant function component on post-production stage. The producer plays a significant role in economy being one of the main contributors to the many customers. This articles suggest the effective product distribution service which requires delivering the right product, in the right quantity, in the right condition, to the right place, at the right time, for the right cost, and encompassing global marketing based on ICT network, will be provided[1].

In this study, it was selected that in order to make an investigation into the status of the unit water content control of the ready-mixed concrete plants in the country, Capacitance Measurement Method out of various methods which are able to gauge the amount of unit water content in fresh concrete. Then, it were estimated that the quantity of unit water in fresh concrete and the technical standard of every mixture design of the six ready-mixed concrete plants chosen at random in the country. Finally, based on this study, it was proposed as fundamental data to utilize measurement techniques of the quantity of unit water for the quality control of the ready-mixed concrete in construction field.

Bacillus stearothermomophilus, a strong xylan degrader, was confirmed to express multiple esterase activities in addition to the major xylanolytic enzymes. One of the genes encoding the esterases was isolated from the genomic library of B. stearothermophilus constructed with EcoRl restriction endonuclease and pBR322 plasmid. Three recombinant plasmids showing the tributyrin degrading activity were selected from approximately 7, 000 E. coli HB101 transformants, and were found to have the same insert of a 3.2 kb DNA fragment. Restriction mapping and hybridization studies revealed that the gene(estII) on the hybrid plasmid (pKMG7) had originated from the B. stearothermophilus chromosome, and was distinct from the estl, another esterase gene of B. stearothermophilus isolated in the previous work. The E. coli cells harboring pKMG7 produced an acetylxylan esterase that exibited similar substrate specificity to the esterase encoded by the estI gene.
