  • In this paper, the copy mechanism and input feeding are applied to recurrent neural network(RNN)-search model in a Korean-document summarization in an end-to-end manner. In addition, the performances of the document summarizations are compared according to the model and the tokenization format; accordingly, the syllable-unit, morpheme-unit, and hybrid-unit tokenization formats are compared. For the experiments, Internet newspaper articles were collected to construct a Korean-document summary data set (train set: 30291 documents; development set: 3786 documents; test set: 3705 documents). When the format was tokenized as the morpheme-unit, the models with the input feeding and the copy mechanism showed the highest performances of ROUGE-1 35.92, ROUGE-2 15.37, and ROUGE-L 29.45.

  • Design techniques for programmable storage/logic arrays(SLA's) with easily testable features are discussed. The easily testable SLA's will be designed by using additional hardware to provide an easy means to set or check the states. These augmented SLA's have the very short universal test sequences such that the test patterns and responses are uniquely determined only by the size of the SLA's independently of the function of them. The types of faluts considered here are single and multiple stuck faults, crosspoint faults, and bridge faults in SLA's. Fault location and reapir of SLA's are also considered.

  • In this paper a new test generation method for Domino CMOS logic circuits is proposed. Because the stuck-at type fault is not adequate for Domino CMOS circuits the stuck-open fault, stuck-on fault and bridging fault are considered as fault models. It is shown that the test generation problem of Domino CMOS circuits results in functional block test generation problem. Test set is generated by using the logic minimizer which is a part of logic design system. An algorithm for reduction of test set is described. The proposed test method can be easily applied to various figures of circuits and make it easy to construct automatic test generator in design system. The proposed algorithms are programed and their efficiency is confirmed by examples.

  • To overcome article-oriented search functions and provide author-oriented ones, a namesake problem for author names should be solved. Author disambiguation, proposed as its solution, assigns identifiers of real individuals to author name entities. Although recent state-of-the-art approaches to author disambiguation have reported above 90% performance, there are few academic information services which adopt author-resolving functions. This paper describes a large-scale test set for author disambiguation which was created by KISTI to foster author resolution researches. The result of these researches can be applied to academic information systems and make better service. The test set was constructed from DBLP data through web searches and manual inspection, Currently it consists of 881 author names, 41,673 author name entities, and 6,921 person identifiers.

  • When designing a test set, we need to consider constraints on items that are deemed important by item developers or test specialists. The constraints are essentially on the components of the test domain or abilities relevant to a given test set. And so if the test domain could be represented in a more refined form, test construction would be made in a more efficient way. We assume that relationships among task abilities are representable by a causal model and that the item response theory (IRT) is not fully available for them. In such a case we can not apply traditional item selection methods that are based on the IRT. In this paper, we use entropy as an uncertainty measure for making inferences on task abilities and developed an optimal item selection algorithm which reduces most the entropy of task abilities when items are selected from an item pool.

  • The purpose of this research is to propose a set of basic guidelines for the construction of English test suites, a set of basic guidelines for the construction of Korean test suites to objectively evaluate the performance of machine translation systems. For this end, we constructed 650 English test sentences, 650 Korean test sentences, and developed the statistical methods and tools for the comparative evaluation of the English-Korean machine translation systems. It also evaluates the existing commercial English-Korean machine translation systems. The importance of this research lies in that it will promote an awareness of the importance and need of testing machine translation systems within the Natural Language Community. This research will also make a big contribution to the development of evaluation methods and techniques for appropriate test suites for Korean information processing systems. The results of this research can be used by the natural language community to test the performance and development of their information processing systems or machine translation systems.

  • Objective: To develop and evaluate a deep learning-based artificial intelligence (AI) model for detecting skull fractures on plain radiographs in children. Materials and Methods: This retrospective multi-center study consisted of a development dataset acquired from two hospitals (n = 149 and 264) and an external test set (n = 95) from a third hospital. Datasets included children with head trauma who underwent both skull radiography and cranial computed tomography (CT). The development dataset was split into training, tuning, and internal test sets in a ratio of 7:1:2. The reference standard for skull fracture was cranial CT. Two radiology residents, a pediatric radiologist, and two emergency physicians participated in a two-session observer study on an external test set with and without AI assistance. We obtained the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC), sensitivity, and specificity along with their 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Results: The AI model showed an AUROC of 0.922 (95% CI, 0.842-0.969) in the internal test set and 0.870 (95% CI, 0.785-0.930) in the external test set. The model had a sensitivity of 81.1% (95% CI, 64.8%-92.0%) and specificity of 91.3% (95% CI, 79.2%-97.6%) for the internal test set and 78.9% (95% CI, 54.4%-93.9%) and 88.2% (95% CI, 78.7%-94.4%), respectively, for the external test set. With the model's assistance, significant AUROC improvement was observed in radiology residents (pooled results) and emergency physicians (pooled results) with the difference from reading without AI assistance of 0.094 (95% CI, 0.020-0.168; p = 0.012) and 0.069 (95% CI, 0.002-0.136; p = 0.043), respectively, but not in the pediatric radiologist with the difference of 0.008 (95% CI, -0.074-0.090; p = 0.850). Conclusion: A deep learning-based AI model improved the performance of inexperienced radiologists and emergency physicians in diagnosing pediatric skull fractures on plain radiographs.

  • This paper proposes an efficient test wrapper design that reduces overall test time in multi-core SoC. After initial local wrapper solution sets for all the cores are determined using well-known Combine algorithm, proposed algorithm selects a dominant core which consumes the longest test time in multi-core SoC. Then, the wrapper characteristics in the number of TAM wires and the test time for other cores are adjusted based on test time of the dominant core. For some specific cores, the number of TAM wires can be reduced by increasing its test time for design space exploration purposes. These modified wrapper characteristics are added to the previous wrapper solution set. By expanding previous local wrapper solution set to global wrapper solution set, overall test time for Multi-core SoC can be reduced by an efficient test scheduler. Effectiveness of the proposed wrapper is verified on ITC'02 benchmark circuits using $B^*$-tree based test scheduler. Our experimental results show that the test time is reduced by an average of 4.7% when compared to that of employing previous wrappers.

  • This paper aims to present a taxonomy of non-standard words (NSW) for developing a French text normalization system and to propose a method for evaluating this system based on a corpus. The proposed taxonomy of French NSWs consists of 13 categories, including 2 types of letter-based categories and 9 types of number-based categories. In order to evaluate the text normalization system, a representative test set including NSWs from various text domains, such as news, literature, non-fiction, social-networking services (SNSs), and transcriptions, is constructed, and an evaluation equation is proposed reflecting the distribution of the NSW categories of the target domain to which the system is applied. The error rate of the test set is 1.64%, while the error rate of the whole corpus is 2.08%, reflecting the NSW distribution in the corpus. The results show that the literature and SNS domains are assessed as having higher error rates compared to the test set.

  • In this study an antilocking-brake-system was set up for the single wheel of passenger cars. The control algorithm for the system was programmed by C-language and executed by a 16bit personal computer, which took the role of an electronic control unit. The performance of the antilocking-brake-system was tested using a test rig, which was specially designed and built up for the simulation of braking on the slippery road. The test results were satisfactory. Although the simulation method of the friction characteristics between the tire and the contact surface on the test rig appeared not to be absolutely suitable, the test rig allowed the basic investigation of the influence of the antilocking brake control on the wheel slip.
