  • The tenn "Pyrotechnic Shock" or "Pyroshock" is used to describe short duration, high amplitude and high frequency transient structural responses in aerospace vehicle structures..The transients are generally initiated by firing of an ordnance item to separate or release a structural member of fastener. The objective of this paper is to present a set of pyrotechnic shock environment information - specific characteristics induced by many separation devices, prediction, testing, measurement and analysis methods of pyroshock environment. In addition, it is introduced the application of pyrotechnic shock test in Korean aerospace development program.

Effects of a Self-Care Reinforcement Program for Socially Vulnerable Elderly Women with Metabolic Syndrome in Korea

  • Purpose: This study evaluates the efficacy of a Self-Care Reinforcement Program (SCRP) based on the Selection Optimization Compensation (SOC) model, in socially vulnerable elderly women with metabolic syndrome. Methods: This study adopts a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The participants were 64 socially vulnerable elderly Korean women with metabolic syndrome (experimental group: 31, control group: 33). Participants' body composition analysis, nutrient intake, risk factors of metabolic syndrome, depressive symptoms, and social network were measured. Data were analyzed with an independent t-test; statistical significance levels were set at p<.05. The SCRP, including metabolic syndrome education, nutritional education, exercise, and social network, was performed three times a week for 8 weeks. Results: There were statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in terms of systolic blood pressure, diastolic pressure, fasting blood sugar, triglycerides, sodium intake, depressive symptoms, and social networks. Conclusion: The SCRP is effective and can be recommended as a community health nursing intervention for socially vulnerable elderly women with metabolic syndrome.

특성화 고등학교 학생의 취업역량강화를 위한 직장예절 교육프로그램 개발 (Development of the Workplace Etiquette Education Program for Strengthen of Employment Capability of Specialized High School Students)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 특성화 고등학교 학생의 취업역량강화를 위하여 직장예절 교육프로그램을 개발하는 것이다. 이 연구는 준비, 개발, 개선의 3가지 단계로 이루어졌으며, 그 내용은 다음과 같다. 준비 단계에서는 학생, 교사, 산업체의 요구를 조사 분석하였고, 그에 맞는 직장예절 교육프로그램의 주제를 선정하였다. 개발 단계에서는 직장예절 교육프로그램의 목표를 설정하고, '직업과 예절', '직장 조직의 이해', '올바른 직장예절', '자기관리'의 4가지 영역으로 나누어 학습 내용 및 경험을 선정하여 직장예절 교육프로그램을 구성하였다. 개선 단계에서는 전문가에 의한 타당도 검증, 학생들에 의한 현장시험을 실행하여 직장예절 교육프로그램을 수정 보완하였다. 이 연구의 결과인 직장예절 교육프로그램은 다음과 같은 특징을 갖고 있다. 첫째, 개발된 직장예절 교육프로그램은 총 8차시로서 상황에 따라 융통성 있게 적용 가능하다. 둘째, 개발된 직장예절 교육프로그램은 직장생활에서 발생하는 다양한 사례를 중심으로 올바른 직장예절을 학습할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 셋째, 개발된 직장예절 교육프로그램의 내용은 '직업과 예절', '직장 조직의 이해', '올바른 직장예절', '자기관리'의 네 가지 영역으로 이루어졌다. 넷째, 개발된 직장예절 교육프로그램은 교사용 자료와 학생용 자료로 구성하여 교사와 학생 모두 쉽게 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. 다섯째, 개발된 직장예절 교육프로그램은 고등학교 '진로와 직업' 교과에서 활용할 수 있으며, 창의적 체험활동, 창의적 재량활동 및 특별활동 등의 진로교육에서도 활용할 수 있다.

Nonparametric Inference for the Recurrent Event Data with Incomplete Observation Gaps

  • Recurrent event data can be easily found in longitudinal studies such as clinical trials, reliability fields, and the social sciences; however, there are a few observations that disappear temporarily in sight during the follow-up and then suddenly reappear without notice like the Young Traffic Offenders Program(YTOP) data collected by Farmer et al. (2000). In this article we focused on inference for a cumulative mean function of the recurrent event data with these incomplete observation gaps. Defining a corresponding risk set would be easily accomplished if we know the exact intervals where the observation gaps occur. However, when they are incomplete (if their starting times are known but their terminating times are unknown) we need to estimate a distribution function for the terminating times of the observation gaps. To accomplish this, we treated them as interval-censored and then estimated their distribution using the EM algorithm proposed by Turnbull (1976). We proposed a nonparametric estimator for the cumulative mean function and also a nonparametric test to compare the cumulative mean functions of two groups. Through simulation we investigated the finite-sample performance of the proposed estimator and proposed test. Finally, we applied the proposed methods to YTOP data.

Experimental investigations and FE simulation of exterior BCJs retrofitted with CFRP fabric

  • This paper presents the results of experimental and numerical studies conducted to investigate the behavior of exterior reinforced concrete beam column joints (BCJ) strengthened by using carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets. Twelve reinforced concrete beam-column joints (BCJ) were tested in an experimental program by simulating the joints in seismically deficient old buildings. One group of BCJs was designed to fail in flexure at the BCJ interface, and the second group was designed to ensure joint shear failure. One specimen in each set was -retrofitted with CFRP sheet wrapped diagonally around the joint. The specimens were subjected to both monotonic and cyclic loading up to failure. 3D finite element simulation of the BCJs tested in the experimental program was carried out using the software ABAQUS, adopting the damage plasticity model (CDP) for concrete. The experimental results showed that retrofitting of the shear deficient, BCJs by CFRP sheets enhanced the strength and ductility and the failure mode changed from shear failure in the joints to the desired flexural failure in the beam segment. The FE simulation of BCJs showed a good agreement with the experimental results, which indicated that the CDP model could be used to model the problems of the monotonic and cyclic loading of beam-column reinforced concrete joints.

읽기부진아를 위한 체험형 독서프로그램 설계 - 방법 및 효과 - (A Design of Experience-based Reading Program for the Struggling Readers: Methods and Effects)

  • 이 연구는 생각과 경험이 역동적으로 상호작용할 수 있는 읽기 체험 활동을 통해 읽기부진아들의 자아존중감을 향상시킬 수 있는 체험형 독서프로그램을 설계하고자 한다. 그리고 이 연구를 통해 설계한 체험형 독서프로그램을 적용했을 때 연구 대상자들의 자아존중감 향상에 실제로 어떤 효과가 있는지를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이 연구는 읽기부진아를 위한 체험형 독서프로그램을 설계하고 개발하였다. 교수설계의 ADDIE모형에 따라 그림책을 활용하여 체험형 독서프로그램을 설계하였으며, Kolb의 나선형 체험학습 단계를 체험형 독서프로그램의 장면에 적용하였다. 체험의 과정을 통하여 정서 개발에 도움이 될 수 있는 학습경험이 이루어질 수 있도록 관심의 증대 ${\rightarrow}$ 구체화 ${\rightarrow}$ 명료화의 흐름을 제공하였다. 둘째, 읽기부진아를 위한 체험형 독서프로그램이 자아존중감을 향상시키는데 미치는 효과에 대하여 연구대상자의 사전사후 검증 결과, 전체 자아존중감 점수가 향상되었고, 하위요인별로 학업적 자아존중감, 사회적 자아존중감에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구는 읽기부진아를 위한 사회적 환경과 독서 환경 즉, 적절한 독서프로그램이 도서관에서 제공되고 이를 제도화시켜 지속적으로 지원한다면, 읽기부진아의 독서태도를 신장시켜 독서습관을 형성하고, 독서를 통한 자아존중감 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 데 기여할 수 있음을 시사한다.

소비자 자신감이 의복만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Consumer Self-Confidence on Clothing Satisfaction)

  • The role of consumer self-confidence is important in consumer's purchase decision. Nevertheless, the use of self-esteem measures might cause misinformation in the specific situation of the marketing-related point of view. In this study, consumer self-confidence was measured by marketing oriented tools to clarify the dimensions of consumer self-confidence while the influence of consumer self-confidence on clothing satisfaction was also investigated. A total of 325 questionnaires were collected by surveying university students in Seoul and the surrounding metropolitan area using convenient sampling. The data were analysed by factor analysis, ANOVA, t-test, and regression by using SPSSWIN program. The findings of the study were as fellows. First, the consumer self-confidence was composed of 6 sub-scales: information acquisition, personal outcomes decision making, social outcomes decision making, consideration-set formation, persuasion knowledge, and marketplace interfaces. Second, female subjects rated higher on consumer self-confidence than male subjects did in social outcomes decision making and consideration-set formation. Third, higher income was correlated with higher social outcomes decision making and consideration-set formation. Finally, clothing satisfaction was influenced by personal outcomes decision making and information acquisition.

PVDF 필름 기반 센서를 이용한 무구속적인 누운 자세 추정 (Unconstrained Estimation of Body Postures on Bed Using Polyvinylidene Fluoride Film-based Sensor)

  • As body postures on bed affects various sleep related diseases, it is considered as important information when monitoring sleeping in daily life. Though there have already been a few approaches to monitor body postures on bed conventionally, the development for simple and unconstrained methods is still needed to realize the long-term daily monitoring. Focusing on the fact that ballistocardiogram changes depending on the body postures on bed, we developed a novel method to estimate body posturesusing extremely simple, film-type ballistocardiogram sensor which is based on polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF) film. With 10 subjects, we performed two experiments. One was for an estimation test to show that body postures on bed can be estimated by ballistocardiogram, and the other was for a reproducibility test to present the feasibility of ballistocardiogram based body postures monitoring. To estimate body postures on bed, we made an individual template set of body postures by designating one ballistocardiogram (BCG) sample as a template in each postures. Then, we calculated Pearson's correlation coefficients between a sample and each templates and estimated the body posture of the sample by choosing a posture which corresponds to the most significant correlation coefficients. As a result, we estimated body postures on bed with 99.2% accuracy in average and found that the estimation using ballistocardiogram is reproducible.

약물 독성 평가용 생체외 각막 모델 제작 연구 (Fabrication of Ex vivo Cornea Model for a Drug Toxicity Evaluation)

  • To evaluate the toxicity of ophthalmic drug, the Draize test and Bovine Corneal Opacity and Permeability (BCOP) test commonly used. In Draize test, experimental animals were under stress and pain due to long-term exposure of drug. In addition, regarding physiological functions, animal model is not perfectly reflected a human eye condition. Although some models such as $EpiOcular^{TM}$, HCE model, LabCyte Cornea-Model, and MCTT $HCE^{TM}$ were already presented advanced cornea ex-vivo model to replace animal test. In this sense, cornea tissue structure mimicked ex-vivo toxicity model was fabricated in this study. The corneal epithelial cells (CECs) and keratocytes (CKs) isolated from rabbit eyeball were seeded on non-patterned silk film (n-pSF) and patterned silk film (pSF) at $32,500cells/cm^2$ and $6,500cells/cm^2$. Sequentially, n-pSF and pSF were stacked to mimic a multi-layered stroma structure. The thickness of films was about $15.63{\mu}m$ and the distance of patterns was about $3{\mu}m$. H&E stain was performed to confirm the cell proliferation on silk film. F-actin of CKs was also stained with Phalloidin to observe the cytoskeletal alignment along with patterns of the pSF. In the results, CECs and CKs were shown the good cell attachment on the n-pSF and pSFs. Proliferated cells expressed the specific phenotype of cornea epithelium and stroma. In conclusion, we successfully established the ex-vivo cornea toxicity model to replace the eye irritation tests. In further study, we will set up the human ex-vivo cornea toxicity model and then will evaluate the drug screening efficacy.

디지털 포렌식을 위한 증거 분석 도구의 신뢰성 검증 (Reliability Verification of Evidence Analysis Tools for Digital Forensics)

  • 본 논문에서는 TTAK.KO-12.0112 문서에 따른 컴퓨터 포렌식을 위한 디지털 증거 분석도구의 일반적인 검증 절차를 살펴보고, 제시된 검증 항목들을 이용하여 실제 증거분석 도구를 대상으로 기능 요구사항들을 테스트한다. 또한 테스트 내용을 바탕으로 대상 도구들에 대한 성능 평가를 수행하며 각 도구들의 증거 분석 기능에 대하여 향후 성능 개선 방향을 제시한다. 이는 테스트 대상 도구가 수행 가능한 기능들을 파악하고, 요구사항 문서에서 제안된 검증 절차들을 활용하여 각 기능 별로 구체적인 모의 테스트를 설계한 후, 검증 항목의 내용을 포함시킨 가상의 증거 이미지 파일들을 생성하여 도구가 분석한 결과를 검증하고 해석한다. 이 과정을 통해 대부분의 도구들에서 단편화된 삭제 파일에 대한 복구, 국내에서 널리 사용되고 있는 파일 포맷 인식, 한글 문자열 처리 기능 등에 취약점이 존재함을 확인할 수 있다.
