  • Radar is an object-detection system that uses radio waves to determine the range, altitude, direction, or speed of objects. High power amplifier Module is the most critical part of the high-power radar transmitter systems. It can be used to detect aircraft, ships, spacecraft, guided missiles, motor vehicles, weather formations, and terrain. Research related to radar has been conducted in various fields according to improvement of the communication technology. But only performance-originated technology development has been dashed; study concerning environment duality and safety concerning reliability are still insufficient. In general, radar module is exposed to the outside, on the means of moving or fixed in a certain place. It should be guaranteed sufficient immunity for a variety of environmental stresses that can occur in the outdoor. HALT is a great process used for quickly finding failure mechanisms in a hardware design and product. By applying various kinds and extreme level of stresses, we can find the operating limits of products. In thesis, we conducted HALT test of the high power amplifier modules which used in military and automotive radar. After the test, we analyzed environmental weaknesses of high power amplifier modules using conventional construction data.

  • 본 논문에서는 미국에서 암호모듈검증을 획득한 대표적인 소프트웨어 형태의 암호모듈인 FIPS-OpenSSL의 소스 코드를 분석하여 암호모듈 검증 및 시험기준에서 요구하는 보안요구사항이 소프트웨어적으로 어떻게 구현되어있는지 분석한다. 특히, 암호모듈이 반드시 탑재하고 있어야 하는 자가시험기능 (동작 전 자가시험, 조건부 자가시험) 관점으로 소스코드를 분석한다. 비록 미국 암호모듈 검증제도에서는 FIPS 140-2를 검증기준으로 삼고 있지만, FIPS 140-2는 국내 암호모듈 검증제도에서 암호모듈 검증 및 시험기준으로 삼고 있는 암호모듈 국제표준인 ISO/IEC 19790과 24759의 근간이 되었기 때문에 많은 유사함이 존재한다. 본 논문의 분석을 통하여 향후 암호모듈 개발업체에서 자가시험기능을 정확하고 안전하게 구현할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • Balance Shaft Module is module parts that is installed to vehicles engine to reduce noise and vibration of vehicles engine. Balance Shaft Module's performance exerts important influence on performance of engine. Therefore, must be able to warrant quality and performance of Balance Shaft Module. Existing product found and revised error at continuous process of production, and estimated failure mode in Balance Shaft Module. Previous method hard to secure product that performance is excellent, and bring a lot of damages economically. Therefore, development of inspectin system for quality inspection of parts and performance test of assembly is essential in Balance Shaft Module. In this study, represented development process of automatic dynamic inspection system to test performance and detect breakdown of Balance Shaft Module that is producing in Dongbo.

  • In this paper. we analyze electrical characteristics of photovoltaic module according to mechanical load test. Using the equipment for giving load on the surface of module, dark current-voltage is measured. By varying load from 0kg to 206kg, slight different I-V curve is detected. From this, reduced shunt resistance is roughly calculated and micro crack is assumed to be happened. system Through this experiment, periodic external force on PV module might give an negative effect.   • In this paper, we introduce the status of certificate test on crystalline silicon photovoltaic module in Korea. Up to 3. 2009, about 149 models have passed certificate test under KS C IEC61215 standard. Most products are from Korea, Japan, China. And some are from USA, German and Taiwan. A few environmental test items' results and standard test methods will be discussed. The detail discussion will be shown in the following paper.

  • PV system is consisted with PV module, inverter and BOS(balance of system). To have robustic operation more than 20 years, the expected and guaranteed durability and reliability of products should be met. Almost components of PV system are qualified through IEC standards at test laboratory. But the qualification certificate of product does not ensure long-term nondefective operation. PV module's expected life time is nowadays more than 20 years and annual maximum power degradation ratio would be less than -1%. But the power degradation ratio is basically based on real data more than several years' record. Developing test method for ensuring annual maximum power degradation ratio is very need because there are many new products every month with new materials. In this paper, we have suggested new test method under continuous artificial light irradiation test condition for analyze expected maximum power drop ratio.

  • Recently, the virtual test techniques using computer simulation play an important part in the vehicle development procedures in order to reduce the development time and cost by replacing the physical prototypes of the vehicle components or systems with the virtual prototypes. In this paper, virtual durability test procedures for the vehicle suspension module have been developed. Virtual durability test consists of dynamic simulation computing load history of suspension components, fatigue analysis computing the life of components. A vehicle suspension module for dynamic simulation are developed and validated by comparison with the measured data obtained from the field vehicle test. And on the basis of the validated vehicle suspension model, fatigue analysis has been performed for the virtual durability design of the suspension components.

Thermo-Mechanical Fatigue Analysis of Ribbon Wire/Ag Electrode Interfaces for PV Module

  • In this presentation, We monitored weather data, such as global irradiance, ambient temperature, temperature of PV module, relative humidity and windspeed for 2 years, for determining accelerated test condition. then, we determined the temperature limit of accelerated test through weather data and FEM analysis. Detailed procedures will be summarized in this work. After analysing outdoor stress such as thermal stress, we decided main failure modes and mechanisms of PV module, especially solder joint of ribbon wire. we carried out the measurement of material properties such as thermal expansion coefficient for planning of accelerated test. we designed accelerated test based on FEM analysis results. we carried out thermal cycling test with 1 cell mini module for 3 months. We monitored the change of electrical performance every 1 week such as Voc, Isc, Pmax, etc. and then, we analized the ribbon wire/electrode intefaces. Detailed results will be summarized in this work.
