제트팬 설치 간격과 재유입 현상 분석을 위한 모형실험 (Model Test for the Determination of Distances between Jet-fans and Analysis of Recirculation)

  • 국내에서 제트팬 설치 간격 기준으로 사용되고 있는 일본도로공단 기준은 제트팬의 구경에 따라 설치간격을 제시하고 있지만 국제 상설도로 협회(PIARC)에서는 터널 직경에 10배를 유지할 것을 권장하고 있다. 이 기준들에 의해 결정된 설치 간격은 최대 약 2배 정도의 차이를 나타내고 있으며 이러한 설치 간격의 차이는 터널 환기 방식 선정에 불리한 요건으로 작용될 수 있기 때문에 터널 내부의 기류분석을 통한 적정 설치 간격 기준이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 Froude 상사이론에 기초하여 아크릴 재질의 축소비 1/40의 모형 터널(직경 215mm, 연장 6.9m)과 모형 제트팬(구경 26.3mm, 31.6mm)을 제작하여 터널 내부에서의 기류분석을 위해 터널연장을 따라서 압력과 속도의 변화를 측정하였고, 제트팬 가동시 제트팬 주위에서 외부 공기의 영향으로 발생될 수 있는 재유입 현상을 확인하기 위해서 제트팬 주변에서 압력변화를 측정하였다. 모형실험 결과에서는 터널 내부기류는 제트팬 구경에 영향을 받지 않고 터널직경에 약 9배 정도가 되는 지점에서 압력과 속도의 변화가 안정되는 것으로 나타났으며 제트팬이 가동되면서 발생되는 재유입 현상을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 터널 내부에서의 제트팬 설치 시에는 터널 직경에 약9배 이상을 확보해야 한다고 판단된다.

Relationship between Brand Personality and the Personality of Consumers, and its Application to Corporate Branding Strategy

  • Many consumers enjoy the challenge of purchasing a brand that matches well with their own values and personalities (for example, Ko et al., 2008; Ko et al., 2006). Therefore, the personalities of consumers can impact on the final selection of a brand and its brand personality in two ways: first, the consumers may incline to purchase a brand or a product that reflects their own personalities; second, consumers tend to choose a company that has similar brand personalities to those brands that are being promoted. Therefore, the objectives of this study are following: 1. Is there any empirical relationship between a consumer's personality and the personality of a brand that he or she chooses? 2. Can a corporate brand be differentiated by the brand personality? In short, consumers are more likely to hold favorable attitudes towards those brands that match their own personality and will most probably purchase those brands matching well with their personality. For example, Matzler et al. (2006) found that extraversion and openness were positively related to hedonic product value; and that the personality traits directly (openness) and indirectly (extraversion, via hedonic value) influenced brand effects, which in turn droved attitudinal and purchase loyalty. Based on the above discussion, the following hypotheses are proposed: Hypothesis 1: the personality of a consumer is related to the brand personality of a product/corporate that he/she purchases. Kuksov (2007) and Wernerfelt (1990) argued that brands as a symbolic language allowed consumers to communicate their types to each other and postulated that consumers had a certain value of communicating their types to each other. Therefore, how brand meanings are established, and how a firm communicate with consumers about the meanings of the brand are interesting topics for research (for example, Escalas and Bettman, 2005; McCracken, 1989; Moon, 2007). Hence, the following hypothesis is proposed: Hypothesis 2: A corporate brand identity is differentiated by the brand personality. And there are significant differences among companies. A questionnaire was developed for collecting empirical measures of the Big-Five personality traits and brand personality variables. A survey was conducted to the online access panel members through the Internet during December 2007 in Korea. In total, 500 respondents completed the questionnaire, and considered as useable. Personality constructs were measured using the Five-factor Inventory (NEO-FFI) scale and a total of 30 items were actually utilized. Brand personality was measured using the five-dimension scale developed by Aaker (1997). A total of 17 items were actually utilized. The seven-point Likert-type scale was the format of responses, for example, from 1 indicating strongly disagreed to 7 for strongly agreed. The Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) was used for an empirical testing of the model, and the Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) was applied to estimate numerical values for the components in the model. To diagnose the presence of distribution problems in the data and to gauge their effects on the parameter estimates, bootstapping method was used. The results of the hypothesis-1 test empirically show that there exit certain causality relationship between a consumer's personality and the brand personality of the consumer's choice. Thus, the consumer's personality has an impact on consumer's final selection of a brand that has a brand personality matches well with their own personalities. In other words, the consumers are inclined to purchase a brand that reflects their own personalities and tend to choose a company that has similar brand personalities to those of the brand being promoted. The results of this study further suggest that certain dimensions of the brand personality cause consumers to have preference to certain (corporate) brands. For example, the conscientiousness, neuroticism, and extraversion of the consumer personality have positively related to a selection of "ruggedness" characteristics of the brand personality. Consumers who possess that personality dimension seek for matching with certain brand personality dimensions. Results of the hypothesis-2 test show that the average "ruggedness" attributes of the brand personality differ significantly among Korean automobile manufacturers. However, the result of ANOVA also indicates that there are no significant differences in the mean values among manufacturers for the "sophistication," "excitement," "competence" and "sincerity" attributes of the corporate brand personality. The tight link between what a firm is and its corporate brand means that there is far less room for marketing communications than there is with products and brands. Consequently, successful corporate brand strategies must position the organization within the boundaries of what is acceptable, while at the same time differentiating the organization from its competitors.

버스정보 수집지연시간 최소화 방안 연구 (Minimization Method of Data Collection Delay Time for Bus Information System)

  • 본 연구에서는 버스정보시스템 운영과정에서 발생하는 단계별 정보지연시간을 분석하고, 실제 버스정보시스템 운영시 지연시간을 최소화하여 시스템의 신뢰도를 향상시킬 수 있는 방안에 대해 고찰하였다. 버스정보시스템의 정보지연시간을 최소화할 수 있는 방안을 도출하기 위하여, 정보수집단계에서 발생하는 지연시간 발생요인에 대해 분석하였다. 버스정보 수집단계 무선통신 과정에서 발생하는 호 연결시간을 주요 영향변수로 선정하고, 호 연결시간이 정보지연시간에 미치는 영향을 최소화 할 수 있도록 최적 통신지점(검지지점) 선정에 대한 모형을 제시하였다. 제안된 모형은 무선통신을 수행하는데 소요되는 시간과 차량이 이동하는데 소요되는 시간과의 차이가 최소화되는 지점을 산출하여 실제 버스가 정류소에 도착하는 시간과 정보가 제공되는 시간을 평균적으로 최소화되도록 하였다. CDMA통신을 이용한 버스정보시스템을 대상으로 모형을 평가한 결과 제안된 모형식은 정보수집 지연시간을 적절히 산출할 수 있었으며, 산출된 지연시간을 고려하여 최적의 통신지점을 선정함으로써 지연시간을 최소화하여 시스템의 신뢰도를 보다 향상시킬 수 있었다. 본 연구 결과는 그동안 경험적으로만 설정하던 버스정보시스템의 최적 통신지점(검지 지점) 결정에 대한 문제에 대한 해법을 명확히 제시한데 그 의의가 있다.

고등사고력 신장을 위한 중학교 기술.가정 주생활 영역 평가문항 개발 (Development of Housing Evaluation Questions to Enhance Higher-Thinking Skills in Middle school Home Economics)

  • 지식기반사회에서 고등사고력이 강조되면서 교육평가도 고등사고력 중심의 평가에 초점을 맞춤으로써 학습자의 다양한 개성과 잠재 능력을 길러주고 사고력과 문제해결력을 키우며 인성 및 창의성을 신장시키는 방향으로 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 학생의 사고 능력을 제고시키고, 습득한 지식과 기능 토대로 생활에서의 문제해결능력, 의사결정능력, 창의력과 같은 고등사고 능력을 신장시킬 수 있는 평가문항을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 먼저 내용요소 선정을 위해서 국가수준의 성취기준과 평가기준에 따라서 중학교 기술 가정 교과서의 '주생활' 영역을 중심으로 2007 개정교육과정에 따른 9종 교과서의 내용요소와, 교과서에 실린 평가문항, 공공기관에서 운영하고 있는 온라인 문제은행 사이트의 평가문항을 분석하였다. 그 결과에 따라 '가족의 생활' 단원에서 21 개, '가정생활의 실제' 단원에서 7개의 내용요소를 선정하여 총 28개의 평가 내용요소를 선정하였다. 다음으로 고등사고력에 관한 문헌 고찰을 토대로 평가문항 제작 시 고등사고력을 신장시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하여 '다원목적분류표 사용', '다양한 자료 활용', '평가문항 유형의 다양화', '평가문항 구성의 다양화'라는 4가지 지침을 적용하여 대문항 80개, 소문항을 포함하면 총 175 개의 펑가문항을 개발하였다. 완성된 평가문항에 대해 교사 5인을 대상으로 실시한 타당도는 평균 4.9로 매우 높아 이 연구에서 개발된 평가문항은 개별학교 교육 상황에 맞게 재구성하여 활용함으로써 학생들의 고등사고력 신장에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 앞으로 이 연구에서 개발된 분항 대한 타당도와 신뢰도, 효과성에 대한 객관성을 높이는 후속 연구를 제안한다.

IT-기반의 임신성 당뇨병 영양관리 프로그램 개발을 위한 요구도 조사 (Needs for Development of IT-based Nutritional Management Program for Women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine self-management status, nutritional knowledge, barrier factors in dietary management and needs of nutritional management program for women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM). Methods: A total of 100 women with GDM were recruited from secondary and tertiary hospitals in Seoul. The questionnaire composed of general characteristics, status of self-management, dietary habits, nutrition knowledge, barrier factors in dietary management, needs for nutrition information contents and nutritional management programs. Data were collected by a self-administered questionnaire. All data were statistically analyzed using student's t-test and chi-square test using SAS 9.3. Results: About 35% of the subjects reported that they practiced medical nutrition and exercise therapy for GDM control. The main sources of nutrition information were 'internet (50.0%)' and 'expert advice (45.0%)'. More than 70% of the subjects experienced nutrition education. The mean score of nutrition knowledge was 7.5 point out of 10, and only about half of the subjects were reported to be correctly aware of some questions such as 'the cause of ketosis', 'the goal of nutrition management for GDM', 'the importance of sugar restriction on breakfast'. The major obstructive factors in dietary management were 'eating more than planned when dining out', 'finding the appropriate menu when dining out'. The preferred nutrition information contents in developing management program were 'nutritional information of food', 'recommended food by major nutrients', 'the relationship between blood glucose and food', 'tips on menu selection at eating out'. The subjects reported that they need management program such as 'example of menu by calorie prescription', 'recommended weight gain guide', 'meal recording and dietary assessment', 'expert recommendation', 'sharing know-how'. Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop a program that provide personalized information by identifying the individual characteristics of the subjects and expert feedback function through various information and nutrition information contents that can be used in real life.

COMPARISON OF MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF VARIOUS POST AND CORE MATERIALS

  • Statement of problem: Many kinds of post and core systems are in the market, but there are no clear selection criteria for them. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the flexural strength and modulus of elasticity of core materials, and measure the bending strength of post systems made of a variety of materials. Material and Methods: The flexural strength and elastic modulus of thirteen kinds core buildup materials were measured on beams of specimens of $2.0{\times}2.0{\times}24{\pm}0.1mm$. Ten specimens per group were fabricated and loaded on an lnstron testing machine at a crosshead speed of 0.25mm/min. A test span of 20 mm was used. The failure loads were recorded and flexural strength calculated with the measured dimensions. The elastic modulus was calculated from the slopes of the linear portions of the stress-stram graphs. Also nine kinds commercially available prefabricated posts made of various materials with similar nominal diameters, approximately 1.25mm, were loaded in a three-point bend test until plastic deformation or failure occurred. Ten posts per group were tested and the obtained data were anaylzed with analysis of variance and compared with the Tukey multiple comparison tests. Results: Clearfil Photo Core and Luxacore had flexural strengths approaching amalgam, but its modulus of elasticity was only about 15% of that of amalgam. The strengths of the glass ionomer and resin modified glass ionomer were very low. The heat pressed glass ceramic core had a high elastic modulus but a relatively low flexural strength approximating that of the lower strength composite resin core materials. The stainless steel, zirconia and carbon fiber post exhibited high bending strengths. The glass fiber posts displayed strengths that were approximately half of the higher strength posts. Conclusion: When moderate amounts of coronal tooth structure are to be replaced by a post and core on an anterior tooth, a prefabricated post and high strength, high elastic modulus core may be suitable. CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS In this study several newly introduced post and core systems demonstrated satisfactory physical properties. However when the higher stress situation exists with only a minimal ferrule extension remaining a cast post and core or zirconia post and pressed core are desirable.

A Whole Genome Association Study to Detect Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms for Carcass Traits in Hanwoo Populations

  • The purpose of this study was to detect significant SNPs for carcass quality traits using DNA chips of high SNP density in Hanwoo populations. Carcass data of two hundred and eighty nine steers sired by 30 Korean proven sires were collected from two regions; the Hanwoo Improvement Center of National Agricultural Cooperative Federation in Seosan, Chungnam province and the commercial farms in Gyeongbuk province. The steers in Seosan were born between spring and fall of 2006 and those in Gyeonbuk between falls of 2004 and 2005. The former steers were slaughtered at approximately 24 months, while the latter steers were fed six months longer before slaughter. Among the 55,074 SNPs in the Illumina bovine 50K chip, a total of 32,756 available SNPs were selected for whole genome association study. After adjusting for the effects of sire, region and slaughter age, phenotypes were regressed on each SNP using a simple linear regression model. For the significance threshold, 0.1% point-wise p value from F distribution was used for each SNP test. Among the significant SNPs for a trait, the best set of SNP markers were selected using a stepwise regression procedure, and inclusion and exclusion of each SNP out of the model was determined at the p<0.001 level. A total of 118 SNPs were detected; 15, 20, 22, 28, 20, and 13 SNPs for final weight before slaughter, carcass weight, backfat thickness, weight index, longissimus dorsi muscle area, and marbling score, respectively. Among the significant SNPs, the best set of 44 SNPs was determined by stepwise regression procedures with 7, 9, 6, 9, 7, and 6 SNPs for the respective traits. Each set of SNPs per trait explained 20-40% of phenotypic variance. The number of detected SNPs per trait was not great in whole genome association tests, suggesting additional phenotype and genotype data are required to get more power to detect the trait-related SNPs with high accuracy for estimation of the SNP effect. These SNP markers could be applied to commercial Hanwoo populations via marker-assisted selection to verify the SNP effects and to improve genetic potentials in successive generations of the Hanwoo populations.

학교폭력 근절 종합대책에 대한 유효성 검증 - 근본대책을 중심으로 - (Comprehensive Measures the Elimination of Violence in Schools validated - Centered on the fundamental countermeasures -)

  • 최근 학교폭력이 심각한 사회적 병리현상으로 대두되는 시점에서 2012년 2월 국무총리실 주재로 안전행정부와 교육과학기술부 합동으로 "학교폭력근절 종합대책"이라는 정책적 안전장치가 마련되었다. 이 정책은 2012년 3월부터 1년간 시범운영을 하게 되었으나, 실효성에 대한 우려의 목소리가 일각에서는 적지 않게 제기되고 있는 실정이다. 그래서 본 연구는 "학교폭력근절종합대책"에 대한 실효성을 검증해 보고자 각 정책항목(근본대책)을 5점 Likert 척도로 설문지를 구성한 후 서울에 소재하고 있는 고등학교에 재직 중인 172명의 교사들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 근본대책 가운데, '교육 전반에 걸친 인성교육 실천'에 대한 대책안 총 12개(관련없는 1문항 제외) 가운데, '다양한 예술교육 기회 확대 및 독서활동을 지원'이 평균값이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 다음으로는 '인성발달 관련 특기사항 결과를 입학사정관전형, 자기주도 학습 전형에 반영'이 높게 나타났다. 그리고 '가정과 사회의 역할 강화'에 대한 대책안 총 3개 가운데, '범정부적으로 학교폭력 근절을 위해 방송, 언론, 시민단체와 연계하여 연중 캠페인 실시'가 평균값이 가장 높게 나타났다. 마지막으로 '게임 인터넷 중독 등 유해요인 대책'에 관한 대책안 총 7개 가운데, '게임 인터넷 중독 예방을 위한'학생 생활지도 요령'에 따라 단계적으로 게임 인터넷 중독 예방교육 강화'가 평균값이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 다음으로 '인터넷 중독 예방교육에 필요한 다양한 교육용 콘텐츠를 개발하여 현장에 보급'으로 조사되었다.

수명분포가 자유도에 의존한 카이제곱분포를 따르는 무한고장 NHPP 소프트웨어 신뢰성 모형에 관한 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on the Infinite NHPP Software Reliability Model Following Chi-Square Distribution with Lifetime Distribution Dependent on Degrees of Freedom)

  • 소프트웨어 개발과정동안 소프트웨어 신뢰성 요인은 매우 기본적인 사항이다. 소프트웨어 고장파악을 위한 무한고장 비동질적인 포아송 과정을 이용할 때 고장발생률 혹은 위험함수가 일정하거나 증가 또는 감소하는 속성을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 신뢰 성능에 관한 효율성을 비교하는 자유도에 의존하는 카이제곱 분포를 적용한 신뢰성 모형을 제안하였다. 효율적인 모형을 평가하기 위하여 평균제곱오차(MSE)와 결정계수($R^2$)를 이용하고 최우추정법과 수치 해석적 방법을 사용하여 모수추정 알고리즘이 수행되었다. 제안하는 카이제곱분포의 자유도를 이용한 신뢰성 모형을 위해 실제 고장 간격 데이터를 사용한 고장 성능 분석이 적용되었다. 고장데이터 분석은 카이제곱분포의 자유도에 근거한 강도함수를 기준으로 비교되었다. 데이터 신뢰성을 확인하기 위하여 라플라스 추세검정이 적용되었다. 본 연구에 제안된 카이제곱분포의 자유도는 다양한 고장현상을 표현 할 수 있기 때문에 (결정계수가 90% 이상), 신뢰성 분야에서 활용 할 수 있는 모형으로 활용 할 수 있다. 이 연구 결과를 적용하면 소프트웨어 개발 설계자에게 다양한 자유도를 적용하여 소프트웨어 고장패턴을 예측함으로서 효율적인 모형을 개발하는데 표준 지침으로 적용 할 수 있다.

손자녀를 돌보는 조부모의 부담감과 사회적 지지 (The relationship between the burden and the social support of grandmothers caring their grandchildren)

  • The purposes of this research were to add to the developing knowledge base about the burden and social support of grandmothers involved with caring grandchildren, and to examine whether a significant relationship exists between their burden and social support perceived by the grandmothers. A convenience sample of 102 grandmothers was recruited from five collective apartment areas at a small city in Korea. The criteria of selection of sample were that the grandmothers were raising their grandchildren under the age of 36 months for 3 months or longer at own or gandchildren's home. The instruments used were a 15-item multidemensional burden scale and a 8-item social support scale. Both scales were self report, five point Likert type scales. The higher the score, the higher the degree of burden and social support. Data was collected by two prepared research assistants visiting subjects' home from December 10, 1998 to March 20, 1999. The collected data were analysed using mean, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient computed by SPSS software. The results were as follows. 1. In the age distribution of grandmothers, the over half of subjects(58.8%) were under 60 years old. The majority(69.6%) of subjects were married at time of data collection. 79(77.5%) of the sample reported that their perceived health status was good or over. 2. The burden of the grandmothers was not scored high, and the item means on burden scale were ranged from 2.26 to 4.19 out of 5. 'Short of private time'(4.19) had the highest score, followed by 'fatigue'(3.92), 'short of rest'(3.75), and 'short of contact with friends and neighbors'(3.62). The lowest item was 'family doesn't help me'(2.26), and followed by 'family doesn't understand me'(2.33), 'angry with family' (2.43), and 'angry while caring for grandchild'(2.60). 3. There were significant relationships between the burden and present health status(p<.01), childcaring confidence(p<.01), and motive of caring(p<.01). 4. The score of social support, was ranging from 3.61 to 4.01 out of 5. 5. The relationship between burden and social support was found to be correlated negatively. The relationship was statistically significant(γ= - .2833, p<.001). In conclusion, it was found that the burden was not high and burden of grandmothers caring grandchildren was correlated negatively to social support. Therefore, these results provide a basis for developing a nursing intervention to reduce the burden of grandmothers.
