This study was undertaken to assess the antinociceptive effect of Korean bee venom (BV) in mice. Korean BV was collected using BV collector devices in which an electrical impulse is used to stimulate the worker bee (Apis mellifera L.) to sting and release venom. After collection, whole BV was evaporated until dry using the BV collector. Experiments were performed on male ICR mice (weighing $30{\sim}35g$, 6 weeks old). Mice were divided into 4 groups, each comprising 8 mice. BV was diluted and amounts of 6 mg/kg body weight (BW), 0.6 mg/kg BW and 0.06 mg/kg BW were tested. BV was subcutaneously injected to produce an antinociceptive effect and the antinociceptive efficacy was evaluated using a writhing test in mice. Intraperitoneal injection of acetic acid produced a tonic pain behavior, first observed at 3 to 9 min post-injection. This writhing response peaked at 20 min post-acetic acid injection, and then declined until it was undetectable at 60 min post-injection. The time elapse between the administration of acetic acid and the first observed pain behaviors indicated a dose-dependent suppressive effect. These results suggest that Korean BV may be used to achieve an antinociceptive effect for use in medical therapies.

The purpose of this study is to develop a model of the TOC (Table of Contents)-based research record system and to comparatively analyze its usability, in order to comprehensively and systematically manage and practically use the various research records generated from the entire process of research and development. For this purpose, the templates for technical recording and the components of each item were proposed to enable technical recording based on TOC, and structured contents were designed to organically connect between these TOC technical records and existing research records. Also, a database logical schema was developed to design a database, and a test collection was constructed on the basis of research records and TOC technical records. Finally, the model of research record system was constructed by designing TOC record search system and user interface including integrated search system. Based on this model, the usability assessment was performed by comparing the existing distributed general systems with the TOC-based research record system. As a result of the comparative analysis of these two systems, the TOC-based research record system showed generally higher utilization of research records than the general systems.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the outplacement service on the career decision-making self-efficacy of discharged soldiers after mid- to long-term service. The survey carried out for this research was on 557 male discharged solders living in the Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi areas. The information was processed using frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability measurement, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis by means of the SPSSWIN 22.0 program. The results of this study suggest that counseling, education and training affect only some sub-factors of the career decision self-efficacy. Administrative support positively affects the job information collection skill, goal setting skill, planning skill, and problem solving skill among the sub-factors of the career decision self-efficacy. Job activities support had no effect on the career decision self-efficacy.
Purpose - Previous research has shown that a very high level and a very low level of job scope can both be more stressful than intermediate levels of job scope. This study investigates the potential positive and negative effects of the number of accounts handled by sales personnel. The primary objective of this paper is to examine how the number of accounts salespeople handle affects their stress and performance. Research design, data, and methodology - This research conducted the data collection using a survey of salespeople in the pharmaceutical industry. I sent the survey to 420 salespeople, and received 318 usable responses. To assess measurement reliability and validity, I ran an exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. I also employed structural equation modeling (SEM) to test all hypothesized effects in AMOS and also measured the interaction variable using Ping's (1996) approach. Results - These results show that there are linear and non-linear effects of the number of accounts handled by the salesperson on both role ambiguity and role conflict. First, the number of accounts handled by a salesperson is positively related to role ambiguity and role conflict. Second, the effect of the number of accounts handled on role ambiguity and role conflict decreases as the number of accounts handled by the salesperson increases. Third, as accounts increase from a low level, role stress increases; when the number of accounts reaches an optimal level, role stress decreases; and when the number of accounts increases to a high level, it can be detrimental to the salesperson's role stress. Fourth, while product complexity is positively related to role ambiguity, brand strength is negatively related to both role ambiguity and role conflict. Fifth, the greater the brand strength, the weaker the relationship will be between the number of accounts handled and salesperson role ambiguity. Finally, role ambiguity is positively related to salesperson performance. Conclusion - Too much and too little accounts increase the role ambiguity and role conflict of salespersons. Managers should identify the complex effect of the number of accounts handled by salespeople. Also, when products are complex, managers should provide training to eliminate any complex processes and complex information. These results suggest ways to decrease salespersons' role stress by ensuring an optimal level of the number of accounts and brand strength.
The artificial increase in the solar intensity incident on solar cells using lenses or mirrors can allow solar cells to generate equivalent power with a lower cost. There are two types of concentration optics for solar energy conversion. One is to use mirrors, and the other is to use Fresnel lenses. The gains that can be achieved with a Fresnel lens or a parabolic mirror are compared. The result showed the gains are comparable and the two configurations were developed competitively. In application areas of Fresnel lenses as solar concentrators, several variations of design were devised and tested. Some PV systems still use commercially available flat Fresnel lenses as concentrators. A convex linear Fresnel lens to improve the concentration ratio and the efficiency is devised and flat linear Fresnel lens in thermal energy collection is utilized. In this study, we designed and optimized flat Fresnel lens and the 'light pipe' to develop 500X concentrated solar PV system. In the process, we compare the transmission efficiencies according to groove types. We performed rigorous ray tracing simulation of the flat Fresnel lenses. The computer aided simulation showed the 'grooves in case' has the better efficiency than that of 'grooves out case'. Based on the ray-trace results we designed and manufactured sample Fresnel lenses. The optical performance were measured and compared with ray-trace results. Finally, the optical efficiency was measured to be above 75%. All the design and manufacturing were performed based on that InGaP/InGaAs/Ge triple junction solar cell is used to convert the photon energy to electrical power. Field test will be made and analyzed in the near future.
Recently, integrated railway safety monitoring and control system, which is a convergence system based on data distribution service for railway safety monitoring and control, is under development. It collects safety data of vehicle, signal, power and safety monitoring facilities in real time and adopts communication middleware based on distributed service for mass data processing. However, in the case of a server device used as an existing control server, the performance of the distributed service middleware can not be exhibited due to low hardware performance due to safety reasons. In the safety control system, 200,000 packets per second were set as the transmission target, but the performance test of the LAB was not satisfied. In this paper, we analyze the characteristics of railway data to improve the data collection performance of existing equipment and apply DDS-based streaming transmission method to the data model of signal facilities and vehicle facilities with large packet amount according to the analysis result. As a result, it was confirmed that the throughput was improved about 30.4 times when the hardware performance was the same. We plan to improve the data processing performance by applying it to real-time railway safety integrated monitoring and control system in the future.
With frequent incidents of unethical practices and acts in organizations, organizational leaders need to understand some of the causes that facilitate such negative organizational behaviors to lessen the chances of unethical behaviors from occurring. In an effort to understand some of the causes of unethical behavior, this study looks at competitive atmosphere and results-focused performance evaluation as some of the influencing factors on employees' tendency to decide to behave unethically. Competition culture can spur unethical behavior and evaluation culture with emphasis on results-focused which can create a perception among employees of a narrow view of work and how it is defined. The argument of this paper is that such characteristics can create environment for unethical behaviors and serve as an added push upon employees to choose to behave unethically. Collection of survey results from those working in Busan area were used to test the hypotheses using regression. Data analysis showed that in organizational atmosphere that is overly competitive and results-focused can influence employees to behave unethically. Implications and future research suggestions are discussed in conclusions.
This study is a narrative research study to understand the degree of awareness and practice of nursing college students' patients' health information protection and to grasp the relationship between them.. The subjects of this study were 122 nursing college students who experienced clinical practice in two nursing colleges in GwangJu city. Data collection was done from October 13 to 28, 2017. Using SPSS/WIN 21.0 Program, descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation analysis were performed. As a result of the study, the degree of awareness and practicability of patient' health information protection were 4.44(SD=0.44) and 4.28(SD=0.62), respectively. There was a difference in the awareness of health information protection when they were educated about patients' health information protection at school (t=5.094, p<.001) and hospital (t=2.028, p=.045) in the case of having experience in patients' health information protection in hospitals(t=2.551, p=.012). There was a significant positive(+)correlation between patient's health information protection perception and practicing degree, and the degree of health information protection practitioner's communication domain (r=.420, p<.001). There was a significant positive correlation with the domain (r=.368, p<.001) and the referral domain (r=.304, p=.001). Based on these results, we sought to protect the personal information of patients and to provide necessary basic data to develop for standardized education program.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of Project-Based Learning on Science Concepts and Science Learning Motivation. This particular study was proceeded to 4th grader at S elementary school, there was a mutual agreement with a homeroom teacher about assigning a research group and comparison group and it was agreed to students by explaining the reason and purpose of the study. There searcher visited in person to pick 22 students for research group and another 20 students for comparison group. For a research group, an experimental group, homeroom teacher, proceeded a science class with the application of Project-Based Learning. The experimental period was set up as a 40 minutes class unit for 12 weeks. After an experimental group, Science Concepts and Science Learning Motivation were examined, data collection and data analysis were proceeded by order. The following experimental results are as below. First, the application of Project-Based Learning method in a class was effective in improvement of Science Concepts acquisition. Second, the application of Project-Based Learning method in a class was effective in cultivation of Science Learning Motivation. Third, the application of Project-Based Learning method in a class had a positive cognition from the learners in the experimental group. Based on the discussions and implications of the results of this study, some suggestions in the follow - up study are as follows. First, applying Project-Base Learning to various science lessons and learning effects can be suggested as one of the new teaching methods. Second, the use of the Project-Based Learning to test the effects of elementary school students' different grades may be regarded as another teaching method for science class.
This study aims to identify the degree of job stress related to COVID-19, emotional labor, empowerment, and retention intention of nurses in hospitals dedicated to infectious diseases, and confirmed the effect of job stress related to COVID-19, emotional labor, and empowerment on retention intention. The data collection of this study was conducted from August 27, 2021 to September 17, 2021 through a structured questionnaire targeting 162 nurses at an infectious disease hospital in S city. The data were analyzed analyzed using frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, and multiple linear regression using SPSS/WIN 25.0. As a result of analyzing differences according to general characteristics, retention intention showed a significant difference according to work department and work satisfaction. And as a result of analyzing the correlation between retention intention and COVID-19 related job stress, emotional labor, and empowerment, it showed a significant negative correlation (r=-0.215, p=0.006) with job stress related to COVID-19 and a significant positive correlation (r=0.343, p<0.001) with empowerment. As a result of multiple linear regression analysis, job satisfaction, job stress related to COVID-19, and empowerment were identified as significant variables affecting retention intention (F=23.751, p<0.001), and the explanatory power was 30.0%. Through the above results, we intend to provide basic data for strategic development for efficient nursing manpower management.
