This study explored a terminal values of home economics students at Chonnam national university in Korea. And the terminal values of them were compared with those of USA and Japan. Through this, it make to explain the similarities and differences in terminal values among 3 nations. 175 students were adapted as data in Korea. Data of USA and Japan were obtained from Holyoak, Sawai, and Rauniyar(1993). The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, means, one-way ANOVA, Duncan-test. The results showed significant similarities and differences in terminal values among 3 groups.

We study the space-times that have a unique terminal indecomposable past set or a unique terminal indecomposable future set and examine their causal boundary, and we investigate some conditions for the warped product space-times of the form (a, b) ${\times}_fF$ to have a unique terminal indecomposable past set or a unique terminal indecomposable future set.

In this paper, we propose QoS guarantee system fur multi-functional VoIP end Terminal. This system guarantees low delay of voice data for Internet telephony in VoIP end terminal that has various kinds of Internet dependant application. QoS system we propose support low delay transmission in VoIP terminal interface.

육지와 섬을 잇는 역할을 하는 여객선은 섬에 거주하는 섬 주민과 섬을 방문하는 관광객이 많이 이용하고 있다. 그래서 편리하게 이용할 수 있도록 도심과 접근성이 좋은 곳에 위치하고 있다. 그러나 고령화 된 섬 주민과 일반 관광객이 이용하기 편리한지 여객선터미널에 대한 시설특성과 보행환경에 대한 연구는 이루어지지 않았다. 이 연구에서는 여객선터미널이라는 공간을 중심으로 여객선터미널의 접근성, 여객선터미널 이용을 위한 시설특성, 여객선터미널에서 여객선 승하선과 여객선 안에서의 보행환경으로 보행구간을 설정하였다. 보행구간별 보행환경을 측정하기 위해 측정툴을 개발하고 여수연안여객선터미널을 대상으로 이용객의 중요도와 만족도를 IPA기법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 여객선터미널 접근 과정에서는 '걸어서 대중교통 이용의 편리성', '여객선터미널의 위치와 방향을 안내해 주는 이정표 이용 편리성'이 집중영역으로 조사되었다. 반면에 여객선터미널 내부의 시설특성과 보행환경은 이용객들의 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 여객선터미널에서 여객선까지 보행환경에 있어서는 '보행로의 표면 보행환경', '짐을 가진 상태에서 보행 편리성', '부두 경사구간 보행 편리성', '여객선 램프 구간의 보행 편리성'이 만족도가 낮게 나타났다. 여객선 안에서의 시설특성과 보행환경에 있어서는 '계단 바닥 상태에 따른 보행 편리성'이 만족도가 낮게 나타났다. 이 연구는 여수연안여객선터미널의 시설 및 보행환경 개선을 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있으며 다른 지역의 연안여객선터미널과 비교연구를 위한 자료로 이용될 것으로 기대된다.

This paper proposes a common platform for an internet-based mobile robot and its operator terminal. The common platform can reduce the cost and time to develop an internet-based robot and its operator terminal. The robot performs the role of a server and its terminal a client. One operator can use this terminal to make a command and this command can be sent to the robot through a wireless network. According to given commands, the robot moves a point and sends an image by using a camera or desired information by using other sensors. The information sent from the robot can help an operator to control the robot. The mobile robot consists of two modules, main module and motion module. Main module can exchange information with the operator terminal, process information, and send a command to motion module. Each application program for one internet-based mobile robot and its operator terminal will be developed to show that the same platform can be used for them. Also, it will be shown that the robot can be controlled easily by using its operator terminal.

Although Jeju is the best cruise Secondary port in Northeast Asia, currently there are no dedicated cruise terminals. The port international passenger terminal opened in 2015 has a ferry terminal for offshore passengers and a cruise passenger function. Jeju Island is therefore constructing a cruise only terminal with the aim of opening in 2018 to meet the growing passenger demand at the Seoguipo civilian and public ports along with construction of a naval base at Gangjeong Port in Seogwipo City. It also plans to build cruise docks and cruise terminals in the Jeju New Port according to the Jeju port construction basic plan. However, during the construction and planning process of cruise terminals in Jeju, the adequacy of the terminal size is being debated and the immigration facilities are being operated. Therefore, the study analyzed the size of terminals and operation of immigration facilities appropriate for cruise passenger demand by investigating the status of cruise related facilities and operation in Jeju area. Based on this, the Commission hopes to explore the rational direction of the cruise terminal plan to revive the cruise industry in Jeju and provide high quality service to cruise passengers.

Purpose: This study was to identify the relationship between perceived family support and quality of life in hospitalized patient with terminal cancer. Method: Study subjects were 104 patients with terminal cancer who were hospitalized and treated at K university hospital, in Busan. Perceived family support and quality of life were measured using the Kang's Revised Family Support Scale and Youn's Quality of Life scale for terminal patients. Results: 1) The mean score of perceived family support was $4.23{\pm}0.61$. The mean score of quality of life was $5.83{\pm}1.37$. 2) The perceived family support was significantly different with primary care giver, food type, medical period after diagnosis. 3) The levels of quality of life was significantly different by number of children, effect of religion on the one' life, perceived state of disease and pain. 4) There was moderate positive correlation between perceived family support and quality of life. Conclusions: Increase in perceived family support was associated with increase in quality of life in hospitalized patients with terminal cancer. It is necessary that the development of nursing education program for family which help to support the patient with terminal cancer for increasing the quality of life of patient with terminal cancer.

In our previous study, the 25-mer antimicrobial peptide pleurocidin (Ple) had been thought to induce apoptosis in Candida albicans. This study demonstrated that reactive oxygen species (ROS) production was a major cause of Ple-induced apoptosis. Four truncated analogs were synthesized to understand the functional roles in the N- and C-terminal regions of Ple on the apoptosis. Ple, Ple (4-25), Ple (1-22), and Ple (1-19) produced ROS, including hydroxyl radicals, on the order of [Ple > Ple (1-22) > Ple (4-25) > Ple (1-19)], whereas Ple (7-25) did not induce any ROS production. The results suggested that the N-terminal deletion affected the ROS-inducing activities much more than that of the C-terminal deletion, and net hydrophobicity [Ple > Ple (1-22) > Ple (4-25) > Ple (1-19) > Ple (7-25)] was related to ROS generation rather than other primary factors like net charge. Hence, we focused on the N-terminal-truncated peptides, Ple (4-25) and Ple (7-25), and examined other apoptotic features, including mitochondrial membrane depolarization, caspase activation, phosphatidylserine externalization, and DNA and nuclear fragmentation. The results also confirmed the disappearance of apoptotic activity of Ple (7-25) by the truncation of the N-terminal region (1-6) and the specific activity patterns between Ple and analogs. In conclusion, the N-terminal region of Ple played an important role in apoptosis.

By the rapid expansion of containerization and intermodel transportation in international shipping since the 1970's, the larger containerships have emerged and concentrated their calls at a limitted number of ports. Moreover, large-scale container terminals have been built to accommodate the ever-larger containerships, and the mordernization of terminal facilities and many developments in information technology etc. have been brought out. Thus, unlimited competition has been imposed on every terminal with neighbouring ports in Japan, Singapore, Hongkong and Taiwan etc. The purpose of this study is invested to suggest how the container terminal operators cope with unlimited competition between local or foreign terminals. The results are suggested as follows : First, transshipment cargoes, which the added value is high, is to be induced. Second, the function of storage is given on On-Dock Yard. Third. Berth Pool Operation System is introduced, especially in Gamman Container Terminal and Kwangyang Container Terminal. Fourth, the cargo handling charges is decided by terminal operator.

Although previous studies on hexokinase (HK) II indicate both the N- and C-terminal halves are catalytically active, we show in this study the N-terminal half is significantly more catalytic than the C-terminal half in addition to having a significantly higher $K_m$ for ATP and Glu. Furthermore, truncated forms of intact HK II lacking its first N-terminal 18 amino acids ($\Delta$18) and a truncated N-terminal half lacking its first 18 amino acids ($\Delta$18N) have higher catalytic activity than other mutants tested. Similar results were obtained by PET-scan analysis using $^{18}F-FDG$. Our results collectively suggest that each domain of HK II possesses enzyme activity, unlike HK I, with the N-terminal half showing higher enzyme activity than the C-terminal half.
