메탄올 자열 개질 반응기에서의 온도제어 (Temperature Control in Autothermal Reforming Reactor)

  • Copper-Zinc Oxide를 촉매로 사용하는 메탄올 자열 개질 반응기의 온도제어 연구를 하였다. 반응기 hot-spot에서 1 cm 벗어난 지점의 반응기 내부 온도를 피제어변수로, 공기 유량을 조작변수로 사용하였다. 일차 시간 지연 모델을 얻었으며, 이로부터 IMC-PI 법을 적용하여 제어기 값을 구할 수 있었다. 이 제어기로 100시간 이상 개질 반응기 내부의 온도를 ${\pm}5^{\circ}C$ 내에서 제어할 수 있었다. 촉매활성의 저하로 인한 hot-spot 지점의 변화를 조사하여, 적응 제어의 설계에 이용할 수 있게 하였다.

  • 본 연구는 현재 시판되어 산업현장에서 사용 중인 산업용냉각기의 대표적인 타입인 온오프 제어기가 채용된 냉각기와 토출가스 바이패스 제어기가 채용된 냉각기의 온도 제어 시스템의 운전특성 및 제어 특성을 비교분석하였다. 온오프 제어 냉각기보다 토출가스 바이패스 제어 냉각기는 최소 8%, 최대 20% COP가 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과들은 산업 현장에서 좀 더 상황에 맞는 제품의선정을 할 수 있는 기초 자료로서 활용될 수 있으리라 생각된다.

  • CSTR (Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor) which plays a key role in the chemical plants exhibits highly nonlinear behavior as well as time-varying behavior during operation. The control of CSTRs in the whole operating range has been a challenging problem to control engineers. So, a variety of feedback control forms and their tuning methods have been implemented to guarantee the satisfactory performance. This paper presents a scheme of designing a nonlinear PID controller incorporating with a GA (Genetic Algorithm) for the temperature control of a CSTR. The gains of the NPID controller are composed of easily implementable nonlinear functions based on the error and/or the error rate and its parameters are tuned using a GA by minimizing the ITAE (Integral of Absolute Error). Simulation works for reference tracking and disturbance rejecting performances and robustness to parameter changes show the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • 현재 석유화학산업단지는 폭발성 가스와 가연성 가스로인하여 언제나 폭발 위험성이 상존하고 있다. 이러한 폭발을 방지하고자 제어기 및 제어기 패널을 포함한 모든 설비에 방폭을 요구하고 있다. 방폭용으로 현재 사용하고 있는 제어기 패널은 패널의 내부와 외부의 압력(양압)과 온도를 일정하게 유지를 위해 외부에서 수동으로 공기를 주입하는 방식을 사용하고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 자동으로 압력과 온도를 제어할 수 있는 방폭형 패널의 통합 제어기 설계를 제안한다.

  • 본 논문은 원통형 세라믹관에서 온수를 순간적으로 가열하여 설정된 온도 및 수량으로 제어하고자 전자 제어기를 개발하였다. 순간온수기의 구조는 유입되는 온수가 원통형 세라믹 히터를 통하여 열량을 공급하여 온도를 제어하고자 설계하였고, 또한 수량센서와 임펠러를 이용한 수량을 제어하는 전자 제어기를 설계하였다. 순간온수의 제어방법은 유입되는 유량에 열량을 공급하는 원통형 세라믹 히터의 수학적인 모델링을 수립하여 제어기 적용하였고, 이에 대한 실험결과는 설정온도에 따라 제어가 잘 적용되어, 효율적이고 실용성 결과를 보였다. 따라서 원통형 세라믹 순간온수기는 향후 실용제품에 적용할 수 있는 제품구조와 제어 방법을 제시하였다.

  • This paper presents a PC-based controller of industrial SFFS(Solid Freeform Fabrication System). The SFFS has multiple sub-controllers for the building room, the powder room, the temperature, and the density of oxygen in the chambers. Hence the main PC-based controller should effectively and timely send commands to the sub-controllers, and monitor the overall SLS process. The required actuators and sensors are selected to optimize the overall performance of the SFFS.

변위센서를 이용한 적응적 PID제어기반 자동차 변속기 샤프트 교정시스템 (Car transmission shaft distortion correction system based on adaptive PID controller using displacement sensors)

  • In this paper, we proposed a new shaft distortion correction system having an adaptive PID controller using displacement sensors, which is adaptively reflecting variations of shaft strength owing to irregular heat treatment during an annealing process and sensitivity to the seasonal temperature changes. Generally, the shafts are annealed by heat treatment in order to enlarge the strength of the shaft, which causes an distortion of a shaft such as irregular bending of the shaft. In order to correct such a distortion of the shaft, a mechanical pressure is properly impacted to the distorted shaft. However, the strength of every shaft is different from each other owing to irregular annealing and seasonal temperature changes. Especially, the strength of a thin shaft such as a car transmission shaft is much more sensitive than that of a thick shaft. Therefore, it is very important for considering the strength of each shaft during correction of the car transmission shaft distortion in order to generate proper mechanical pressure. The conventional PID controller for the shaft distortion correction system does not consider each different strength of each shaft, which causes low productivity. Therefore, we proposed a new PID controller considering variations of shaft strength caused by seasonal temperature changes as well as irregular heat treatment and different cooling time. Three displacement sensors are used to measure a degree of distortion of the shaft at three different location. The proposed PID controller generates adaptively different coefficients according to different strength of each shaft using appropriately obtained pressure times from long-term experiments. Consequently, the proposed shaft distortion correction system increases the productivity about 30 % more than the conventional correction system in the real factory.

  • Controlling the process by PID controller is widely used in industry by applying Ziegler-Nichols method in analyzing parameter of the controller. However, in fact. it is still necessary to tune parameter in order to obtain the best process response. This paper presents a Self-Tuning PID controller utilizes the personal computer to synthesize and analyze controller parameter as well as tune for appropriate parameter by using Dahlin method and Extrapolation. Experimental results using a Self-Tuning PID controller to control water level and temperature, it is found that the controller being developed is able to control the process very effectively and provides a good response similar to the controller used in the industry.

Flexible Flat Cable 생산성 향상을 위한 가압용 히팅롤러의 온도제어개선 (Temperature Control Improvement of Pressure Heating Roller for Flexible Flat Cable Production)

  • Pressure heating rollers with temperature control were mounted to a flat cable laminating machine (FCLM). Pressure heating rollers should be heated up to the setting temperature $(175^{\circ}C)$ and kept on to producing good quality flexible flat cables (FFC). Existing Pressure heating rollers took more than 70minutes to the setting temperature and did not keep on the setting temperature in production. Temperature controller, electric power controller, material and diameter of rollers and heat capacities were changed to improve the temperature control of the pressure heat rollers for better production of the FFC. Thus, the reaching time to the setting temperature (RT), temperature stability time (TST) and temperature hunting (TH) were measured and compared with the existing pressure rollers case. The RT of A roller was shortened by 50minutes, and B roller was shortened by 15minutes. The TST of A roller was shortened by 13minutes, and B roller was shortened by 15minutes. The THs of both A and B rollers were settled up to ${\pm}5^{\circ}C$. Finally, the productivity of the FCLM and the quality of the FFC were increased.
