Early Smart TV market had their interest in the ability of HW, but these days Smart TV market begin to concentrate on it's services, contents and applications of SW. However, because in Smart TV application, there is no major difference with the application in smart phones and tablets. So the utilization rate in Smart TV application is evidently low. That's the reason why many people did not feel the need to use smart TV applications. In order to solve this problem, this paper propose to develope an application with the cloud computing technique [clould computing] that is intended to provide an usability through the interlocking of the individual PC and smart phone. After uploading user's photos from smart phone or PC to smart TV, this application will help not only to create user's own video but also to add various kind of video effects that user want. Therefore, in this paper, I expect the activation of smart TV applications.

We investigate the dynamic relationships among digital piracy activities, TV ratings, and online buzz for Korean TV dramas using a panel vector autoregression model. Our main findings include 1) TV ratings are negatively affected by digital piracy activities but positively affected by google buzz, 2) digital piracy activities are negatively affected by TV ratings and social buzz, and 3) social buzz and google buzz are positively influenced by each other. While many empirical studies were conducted to reveal the effects of music or movie piracy, our understanding of drama piracy is limited. We provide empirical evidence of the dynamic relationships between drama piracy, TV ratings, and online buzz. Our findings show the presence of indirect piracy effects on TV ratings through online buzz. Further, we reveal that social buzz and google trends play different roles in promoting TV ratings and piracy activities. We discuss the implications of our findings for theory and practitioners.

최근 영상 정보의 중요성에 따라 기존의 2차원적인 TV에서는 얻을 수 없는 입체감을 가지고 있어 현실감 있게 화상을 볼 수 있는 입체 TV 개발에 관한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 특수안경을 사용하는 입체 TV 및 특수안경을 사용하지 않고도 입체감 있는 화상을 볼 수 있는 입체 TV 등 최근 세계적으로 활발히 연구되고 있는 각종 입체 TV 기술에 관해 소개하였다.

우리네 일상에서 옷을 입고 밥을 먹고 잠을 자는 행위만큼이나 당연하고 자연스러운 일로 TV 시청을 든다면 대부분 수긍할 것이다. 물론 요즘 일부에서는 TV안보기 운동 등을 벌이며 TV의 존재감을 애서 무시하려고 하지만 , 그만큼 TV는 우리 생활 깊숙이 들어와 있다고 할 수 있다. 최근 들어 TV관련 이슈가 많이 나오고 있다 . 휴대가 간편한 DMB단말기에서부터 인터넷 망을 이용해 즐기는 IPTV에 이르기까지 이제 TV는 새로운 모습으로 시청자들에게 다가서고 있다.

In this paper we describe SLA metrics and software architecture for newly upcoming IP TV service. Firstly we show the general description for IP TV. This consists of brief description of IP TV, the general figure of configuration and elements of IP TV network and communication protocol stack of IP TV data transmission for deriving communication quality parameter. And we propose SLA metrics depending on quality measurement point. According to the measurement point the measurable SLA metrics are different. The total view of the IP TV SLA measurement and management architecture is shown. When the quality measurement point is the routers that consist of internet node, the IP media NMS is the quality collection system. And when the quality measurement point is the IP TV STB(Set-Top Box), the IP media collector and Quality Collection Server are the quality collection system. And we show the software block diagram of IP TV SLA processing system and the other related network management systems.

Computer-aided design of color TV circuits has been tried using circuit analysis programs. Due to the complexity of colorplexed composite video signals of the color TV, conventional methods are difficult to apply in the color TV circuit design. This paper describes how to design Y video circuit, chroma cicruit, AGC circuit, and sync separator circuit of color TV using analysis programs.

오늘날 디지털 TV 기술이 컴퓨팅 기술과 융합되면서 디지털 TV가 단순히 디지털 TV 수신만이 아닌, 네트워킹 능력을 갖춘 가전기기로 등장하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 디지털 TV가 일반적으로 대화면인 특징을 활용하여 TV를 수신하면서 다수의 원격지 모니터링을 가능하게 하는 부가 기능을 개발하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 리모콘 인터페이스를 통해 동적 DNS 기반의 웹 사이트에서 원격지 모니터링 대상을 선택하고, 이들에 대한 모니터링 정보를 디지털 TV의 PIP(Picture-In-Picture) 화면으로 전송함으로써 디지털 TV의 부가가치를 제고하는 기술을 연구하였다.

한국정보통신기술협회(이하, TTA)에서 제정된 " HTML5 기반 스마트 TV 플랫폼(TTAK.KO-07.0111/R1)" 은 개방형 국제 기술표준인 W3C/HTML5 을 기반으로 스마트 TV 에서 방송환경과 운영체제에 종속되지 않고 애플리케이션이 실행될 수 있도록 스마트 TV 플랫폼의 기술 요구 사항을 정의한 표준이다. TTA 에서는 이러한 표준 기반의 TV 앱 생태계를 활성화하기 위해 앱 개발도구(SDK)를 개발하여 배포하였고, 이어서 TV 장치 없이 PC 환경에서 표준 기반으로 개발된 앱을 실행할 수 있는 있는 에뮬레이터 개발을 추진하였다. 개발된 에뮬레이터는 사용자의 방송 정보 설정을 바탕으로 방송 재생 및 제어 기능을 제공하고 표준 기술로 작성된 앱을 방송 연동형 혹은 패키지 형태로 실행할 수 있는 기능을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 TTA 에서 개발한 표준 기반 TV 에뮬레이터의 설계 및 구현에 대해 소개한다.

디지털 TV가 2000년대의 주력으로 부상할 것임에는 이론의 여지가 없다. 그런데, 디지털 TV가 시장에 진입하기도 전에 대화형 TV 기능을 추가하지 않으면 안될 것으로 보인다. 디지털 TV는 여전히 단방향 방송기술에 의존하지만, 인터넷 기술 발전으로 사용자는 양방향 서비스를 요구할 것이 분명하기 때문이다. 이미 선진 각국은 양방향 TV를 개발하기 위해 다양한 노력을 경주하고 있다. 그런데, 대화형 TV의 개념이 최근 출현했기 때문에 어떤 기술이 어느 방향으로 발전할지 예측하는 것이 사실상 거의 불가능하다. 기존의 TV 기술은 최소한 30년 이상 존속될 표준에 근거해서 개발되었지만, 하루가 다르게 변화하는 인터넷 기술 표준에 바탕을 두고 제품을 개발해야 하는 특성 때문에 기술개발이 더 어렵다고 할 수 있다. 이 논문은 급변하는 방송환경에 적응할 수 있는 대화형 TV의 개념과 모델을 소개한다. 그리고 세계 각국의 개발 동향을 아울러 살펴보기로 한다.

본 논문에서는 토픽 모델링 기반 TV 프로그램 유사 시청 사용자 그룹핑 및 이를 이용한 TV 프로그램 콘텐츠 추천 알고리듬을 제안하였다. 제안 기술은 토픽 모델링 기법 중 Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA) 방법을 이용하여 TV프로그램 시청 기록 내에서 은닉된 유사 사용자들을 그룹핑하고 이러한 유사 시청 사용자 그룹 정보를 이용하여 사용자에게 선호 TV 프로그램 콘텐츠를 자동으로 추천하는 알고리듬이다. 제안된 자동 추천 알고리듬의 성능평가를 위해 실제 TV 시청기록 데이터를 이용하여 훈련 기간과 검증 기간을 나누어 훈련 기간 동안 제안한 알고리듬을 이용하여 사용자 개인에 대한 추천 TV 프로그램 콘텐츠 목록을 생성하여 검증 기간 동안에 실제 추천된 TV프로그램을 얼마나 시청했는지를 측정하여 추천 정확도를 검증하였다.
