  • Recent the free-formed architecture is smearing as a trend with the development of the digital equipment and technologies. The development of new method based on digital technology is required for the free-formed structure,, because the conventional construction methods are limited to shorten the construction period and to ensure the construction quality. Particularly, the development of the new method for the free-formed concrete structure is important. In this study, the developed method of the T-shape lightweight steel fabricated using CNC can control the geometries of the free-formed concrete structure based on the digital design. Also, new method is effective to ensure the precision of the construction and economic than the conventional construction methods.

  • With the types and targets of cyber attacks expanding and with personal information leaks increasing, the quantitative demand for information security specialists has increased. The base for training the workforce has expanded accordingly, but joblessness and job-seeking still coexist. To resolve the gap between labor demand and supply, education and training systems that can supply demand quickly are needed. It takes a considerable amount of time for information security education and new manpower supply through universities and graduate schools to be reflected in the market. However, if information security retraining is carried out in terms of career development of information security and related workforce, the problem of lack of experts could be solved in a relatively short period. This paper investigates and analyzes the information security work of the information security workforce, the degree of skill level, the need for retraining, and the workplace migration experience; it also discusses the direction of career development retraining.

  • The COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in 2020 had an impact on nearly every organization, including the technology-oriented ones. The effects have ranged from minimal hazards to serious interruptions, but also thriving enterprises, depending on the various industry areas of the companies. During this period, the ability to move quickly and to be resilient have been necessary for survival. To fight the pandemic, software developers worldwide had come up with several technological developments and advancements. This paper will focus on the changes COVID-19 brought to software development, the processes that software firms followed during the pandemic, and any recommendations needed to help software development during pandemics.

The Birth and Development of High-Rise Buildings in Japan: Focusing on the Historical Development of Height and Floor Area Ratio Regulations

  • This paper reviews the history of the birth and development of the skyscraper in Japan, mainly from the perspective of the legal system, and presents the following points: 1) After 1919, building height was limited to 31 m or less, which continued after the war and defined the skyline of Japan's major cities; 2) The 31-meter height limit became a problem during rapid economic growth. With the development of tall building construction technology, the height limit was eliminated, and skyscrapers were born in Japan in the 1960s; 3) Later, the number of skyscrapers increased more rapidly in the post-bubble period after the collapse of the bubble economy in the 2000s than in the boom years of the 1980s, when the floor-area ratio was relaxed for economic uplift and urban renewal. The number of skyscrapers increased rapidly against the backdrop of the deregulation of the floor-area ratio.

Predictors of Small Bowel Transit Time for Capsule Endoscopy in Children with Inflammatory Bowel Disease

  • Purpose: The development of assistive devices has allowed for the performance of capsule endoscopy in children. Anticipating the capsule's transit time could affect the efficacy of the investigation and potentially minimize the fasting period. This study determined the predictors of small bowel transit time for small-bowel capsule endoscopy in children and adolescents with inflammatory bowel disease. Methods: We retrospectively examined children and adolescents with inflammatory bowel disease who underwent capsule endoscopy by the age 18 at a Japanese tertiary care children's hospital. Small bowel transit time predictors were analyzed using multiple regression with explanatory variables. Results: Overall, 92 patients, aged 1-17 years, with inflammatory bowel disease (63 Crohn's disease and 29 ulcerative colitis cases) were examined for factors affecting small bowel transit time. In the simple regression analysis, diagnosis, age, height, weight, serum albumin, general anesthesia, and small intestine lesions were significantly associated with small bowel transit time. In the multiple regression analyses, serum albumin (partial regression coefficient: -58.9, p=0.008), general anesthesia (partial regression coefficient: 127, p<0.001), and small intestine lesions (partial regression coefficient: 30.1, p=0.037) showed significant associations with small bowel transit time. Conclusion: Hypoalbuminemia, the use of general anesthesia for endoscopic delivery of the capsule, and small intestine lesions appeared to be predictors of prolonged small bowel transit time in children and adolescents with inflammatory bowel disease. Expecting the finishing time may improve examination with a fasting period reduction, which benefits both patients and caregivers.

조용필 음악 50년의 한국 대중음악사적 의의 연구 (Cho Yong-Pil's 50 years of Music and the Korean Popular Music History)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 데뷔 50년을 맞은 조용필 음악의 특징을 분석하고 한국 대중음악사적 의의를 평가하는 것이다. 조용필이 활동한 1960년대 후반부터 현재까지의 대중음악사는 세 시기로 구분된다. 1960년대 후반부터 1980년대 초반까지는 기성세대의 트로트와 젊은이의 록이 유행했던 시기, 1980년대 중반부터 2000년대 초반까지는 소프트 록과 헤비메탈, 발라드가 혼재했던 시기, 2000대 후반부터 현재까지는 후크 송 중심의 댄스음악이 음악시장을 석권한 시기이다. 음악사의 변곡점마다 조용필은 다양한 음악 장르를 넘나들며 대한민국 대중음악의 발전에 기여하였다. 첫 번째 시기에는 트로트와 록을 접목하여 한국 고유의 정서를 담은 록음악을 발표하였고, 두 번째 시기에는 록의 전성기와 발라드의 태동기에서 두 장르 모두의 발전에 기여한다. 세 번째 시기에는 후크송을 발표해 논란을 일으키기도 하였으나 댄스 음악 장르에서도 보컬의 가창력이 중시되는 분위기를 조성하는 데 기여하였다.

붐의 유연성을 고려한 트럭크레인의 설계 전용 동력학 해석 프로그램 개발 (Development of Truck Crane Analysis Program with Boom Flexibility)

  • Computer simulation technique has been applied on the various engineering fields to reduce cost and development period. On this paper, we introduce a crane analysis program. Using this program, we can predict reaction force of each part or supporting force of truck crane on a personal computer system with out exclusive knowledge of multi-body dynamics. In order to consider the effect of boom flexibility according to each working condition, flexible dynamic theory is applied to the program. Actual crane model is analyzed on special work condition using this program and the results are compared with those of rigid boom model.

  • Nowadays, as the development period of new products becomes shorter and consumer's requirement is more various, the importance of Rapid Prototyping Technology has been rapidly increased. Rapid Prototyping makes prototypes or frictional parts directly using the 3D CAD data. But RP machines can make prototypes in limit size. For making large size prototype, we slice solid which is made of STL file, and then glue sliced solid. And if contact area of part is small, union solid will be easily destroyed for going down of adhesion. So we need to expand contact area, 1 suggest making a section into stair shape. This paper is concerned with slicing solid on STL file and improving on adhesion.

중앙관제시스템에 의한 LED 도로조명제어 (LED Street Light Lamp Control by Central Command System)

  • This paper presents the development of LED street light lamp which is controled by central command system. This system includes a lamp unit controller, data repeater and command repeater as well as the LED lamps. These devices enable the individual power control and partial on/off control of the LED lamps by the control repeater through full duplex communication line. Also, they have the ability to control the brightness and period of on/off timing by detecting the car's existence. As a result of this development, it is founded that the performances of the system have been satisfied to apply for the actual road test.

  • Advanced EMU have been enhanced in terms of safe transport and maintainability. It is a new urban railway technology that enables an operation institution to cut repair and maintenance costs and customers to use convenient service at lower costs based on IT technology. If a development vehicle of Advanced EMU is completed, it will be used to test the entire advanced EMU system through sufficient performance check and reliability check prior to operation in commercial line. It will also verify efficiency, safety, punctuality and energy efficiency of transport. Accordingly, it is necessary to figure how to repair and maintain vehicles to enhance safety of Advanced EMU system in cooperation with operation during the period of comprehensive evaluation on the operation of a development vehicle in a test line. In this paper, we investigated the maintenance program of Advanced EMU on test operation in Dabul line. The test condition and operation environment of Advanced EMU in Daebul line was analyzed.
