An Analysis of the Correlation of Engineering Education Major College Students' Technological Problem Solving Tendency between Technological Problem Solving Capability (공학 교육 전공 대학생의 기술적 문제 해결 성향과 기술적 문제 해결력 간의 상관 관계 분석)

  • This study has the purpose to identify the correlation of engineering education major college students' technological problem solving tendency between technological problem solving capability. To that end, the technological problem solving tendencies of 79 students enrolled in engineering education related department in college of education, 'C' University located in Daejeon metropolitan city were examined, and the correlation of technological problem solving tendency between technological problem solving capability was analyzed through measurement of technological problem solving capability. As for the correlation among problem solving confidence a sub-element of technological problem solving tendency and technological problem solving capability, positive correlation was found in result 3, result 4 and result average. As for the correlation among approach-avoidance tendency a sub-element of technological problem solving tendency and technological problem solving capability, positive correlation was found in result 5 and result average. As for the correlation among self-control recognition degree the sub-element of technological problem solving tendency and technological problem solving capability, positive correlation was found in result 1, result 3 and result average. As for the correlation among problem solving tendency and technological problem solving capability, positive correlation was found in result 3, result 4, result 5 and result average.

The Effect of Scratch Programming Education for Middle School Students on the Information Science Creative Personality and Technological Problem Solving Tendency (스크래치 프로그래밍 교육이 중학생의 정보과학 창의적 성향과 기술적 문제해결 성향에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is aimed at verifying the effect of scratch programming education for middle school students on their information science creative personality and technological problem solving tendency. The results of such study can be used as basic data for raising 'future creative talents' armed with problem-solving capability they honed in software education. The results of this research are as follows. First, a statistically significant difference was confirmed between ex ante and ex post samples in a t-test which was performed to verify information science creative personality of the middle school students (t(37)=4.305, p<.01). Their information science creative personality was high in the average score as it dropped from 3.00 in the ex-ante test to 2.51 in the ex post test. It was confirmed that the education of scratch programming influences information science creative personality for middle school students positively, suggesting that middle school students are interested in new problematic situations they found in information science and discover new problem-solving methods in the programming education, thereby showing positive feedback in the education performance. However, it was revealed that the middle school students were unable to immerse themselves in the scratch programming course completely and change their psychological states. Second, a statistically significant difference was confirmed between ex ante and ex post samples in a t-test which was performed to verify their technological problem solving tendency (t(37)=3.074, p<.01). Their technological problem solving tendency was high in the average score as it dropped from 4.06 in the ex-ante test to 3.55 in the ex post test. It was confirmed that the education of scratch programming influences technological problem solving tendency for middle school students positively: they understood problems associated with technology, explored diverse breakthroughs for the identified problems and assessed and improved resolutions. Third, a moderate correlation was confirmed between their information science creative personality and technological problem solving tendency (r=.343, p<.05). Therefore, it is judged that the middle school students who took scratch programming education demonstrated its influence in the correlation between the imagination for problem solving, positivity in the information science creative personality and the confidence for problem solving in the technological problem solving tendency.

  • Applications of two dimensional image codes like QR and color code on mobile phone are spreading widely and in lieu of that, better decoding technology and platform designs are required. Futhermore "Bokode" technology which recognizes the defocus-blur image information from imperceptible visual tiny code on ordinary digital camera has been announced newly. There is an urgent need for competitive strategies to activate 2D image code industry and R&D under smart environment. This paper focused on suggesting valuable idea and practical task through investigation and analysis required for supporting of thus strategy construction. Description consist of introduction, technological tendency for R&D, patent and market, implementation task, conclusion and suggestion.

A Trend Analysis of Changes in Housework due to Technological Innovation and Family Change

  • Purpose - This study attempted to analyze news big data in order to examine the trend of change in housework due to technological innovation and family changes. Research design, data, and methodology - News big data was collected from Bigkinds for the purpose of trend analysis. A total of 8,270 articles containing 'housework' were extracted from news articles between January 1, 1990 and December 31, 2021. 11 general daily newspapers and 8 business newspapers were selected and were analyzed by dividing them into five-year units. Result - The change of trends in housework that appeared through news big data analysis can be summarized as below. First, the tendency to regard housework as work of women or housewives is gradually weakening. Instead, the centrality of connection with double income is increasing. Second, there is a tendency to strengthen the institutional approach to evaluation of the productivity of housework. Third, the possibility of market substitution for housework is expanding. Conclusion - In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, examining the impact of technological innovation and family change on housework not only enables the prospect of an industry, but also provides implications for policies related to housework. In addition, this study is differentiated in that it contributed to expand the field of housework research previously limited to analyzing survey data.

  • There are many pros and cons for whether smart glasses and watch would be further going technology or not beyond smart phone. What have to do domestically is to find acting ways to catch up with technological gap in short term basis through analyses and investigations in technological issues, patents profile, market forecast. In this paper, firstly we investigate and review technological issues and form factors of smart glasses and HMD, and secondly analyze technological tendency and identify their core technology and intension from global key player's patents analyses connected with smart glasses, and conclusively suggest technological prospects and it's countermeasures.

  • According to the degree how the information communication, technology and various basic given conditions are working, most of all enterprises in 21 century are running utilizing information technology. Mongolia is also driving forward for the 2010 year goal and the information technological environment is fast developing in Mongolia. By the tendency of fast moving development of information and technological change will make a road to be possible implementing the Home-Shopping in Mongolia. To meet the changeable tendency and countermeasures of Mongolian environment, e-Business policies are necessary. In this paper I like to point out why the Mongolian enterprises should have keen interest on e-Business and on the ground of the necessity on it. I like to suggest some models for Mongolia.

  • This study investigates the effect of entrepreneurship on corporate performance highlighting the mediating role of technological innovation and the moderating role of marketing competence. By identifying the role of technological innovation and marketing competence within the relationship between the entrepreneurship and corporate's business performance, this study aims to improve SMBs' competence. Special attention was given to the fact that while there are some technology-based SMBs which have achieved positive outcomes through innovation, there are some other firms which have not been able to deliver expected outcomes despite of their technological competence. The data used in this study came from CEO or chief research executives of SMBs. Results of the data analysis show that the innovative sprit which is an important factor of entrepreneurship has an positive effect on technological performance, financial performance and non-financial performance. However, risk- taking tendency has an positive effect on technological performance but negative effects on financial and non- financial performance of the firms. This study also has examined the mediating effect of technological innovation on the relationship between entrepreneurship and corporate's performance and the result reveals that technological innovation plays a mediating role within the relationship. Specially, innovative spirit plays a full mediating role within the relationship between technological commercialization capacity and financial and non-financial performances of SMEs'. Also, risk taking tendency has a full mediating effect on the positive relationship between strategic planning capability and both financial and non-financial performance. Regarding the moderating role of marketing capability within the relationship between the entrepreneurship and the performance of the firms, results of data analysis shows as follows. Marketing professional capability plays a moderating role between risk taking tendency and performance of the firm and marketing structural capability plays a moderating role between innovative spirit and the performance of the firms. Based on these results, this study confirms that SMEs' business performance is effected by entrepreneurship. Innovative spirit plays a mediating role within the relationship entrepreneurship and business performance. However, Marketing capability has a partial moderating effect on the relationship between the entrepreneurship and the business performance.

  • The business environment of today's small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) has a tendency to shorten the product life cycle due to the rapid technological change. Therefore, in this study, an empirical study was conducted to understand the influence of CEO type and technological innovation capability on management performance through technological innovation performance as a medium. The subject of the study was a survey focusing on executive level and above of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in the southeast region, and the research results are as follows. Overall, it was verified that the structural causal relationship between the technological innovation performance and the management performance of the CEO type and technological innovation capability of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises is a relationship that has a significant influence with mutual correlation. These results indicate that higher performance can be achieved when technological innovation performance is combined with the effect of technological innovation capability on management performance according to CEO type. In this way, SMEs are trying to present the need for various innovative activities to discover excellent technologies and acquire competence, and to suggest a development direction that requires efforts to improve the technological competitiveness of enterprises.
