연구개발 팀에서 팀 내 갈등 간의 관계와 갈등이 몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Relationship among Different Types of Intra-team Conflict and Their Effects on Commitment in R&D Teams)

  • 팀은 조직이 추구하는 목표를 달성하는데 있어서 매우 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 팀의 경쟁력은 팀 구성원들 간의 끊임없는 상호작용에 의해 결정되므로 팀 구성원들이 함께 공유하는 긍정적이고 감정적인 태도를 나타내는 팀 몰입이라는 공동의 목표를 함께 추구하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 하지만 끊임없는 팀 구성원간의 상호작용은 갈등을 야기한다. 팀 구성원 간의 갈등이 팀의 성과에 미치는 영향은 긍정적인 면과 부정적인 면이 함께 존재하지만 관계, 과업, 과정 갈등이 팀 몰입에 미치는 영향에 대해서는 많은 연구가 되어 있지 않은 상황이다. 본 연구는 세 가지 종류의 갈등이 어떤 관계를 가지고 있는지는 13개 기업의 232개 연구개발 팀으로부터 모은 자료를 분석하였다. 결과는 관계갈등은 팀 몰입에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 반면 과업갈등과 과정갈등은 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 보이지 않았다. 세 갈등 간의 관계를 살펴보면 과정갈등은 과업갈등과 관계갈등에 정(+)의 영향을, 그리고 과업갈등은 관계갈등에 정(+)의 영향을 주고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구의 시사점과 향후 연구과제를 제시한다.

A HARMS-based heterogeneous human-robot team for gathering and collecting

  • Agriculture production is a critical human intensive task, which takes place in all regions of the world. The process to grow and harvest crops is labor intensive in many countries due to the lack of automation and advanced technology. Much of the difficult, dangerous and dirty labor of crop production can be automated with intelligent and robotic platforms. We propose an intelligent, agent-oriented robotic team, which can enable the process of harvesting, gathering and collecting crops and fruits, of many types, from agricultural fields. This paper describes a novel robotic organization enabling humans, robots and agents to work together for automation of gathering and collection functions. The focus of the research is a model, called HARMS, which can enable Humans, software Agents, Robots, Machines and Sensors to work together indistinguishably. With this model, any capability-based human-like organization can be conceived and modeled, such as in manufacturing or agriculture. In this research, we model, design and implement a technology application of knowledge-based robot-to-robot and human-to-robot collaboration for an agricultural gathering and collection function. The gathering and collection functions were chosen as they are some of the most labor intensive and least automated processes in the process acquisition of agricultural products. The use of robotic organizations can reduce human labor and increase efficiency allowing people to focus on higher level tasks and minimizing the backbreaking tasks of agricultural production in the future. In this work, the HARMS model was applied to three different robotic instances and an integrated test was completed with satisfactory results that show the basic promise of this research.

기업의 환경, 보건, 및 안전 (EHS) 조직의 직무능력 개선과 환경변화 대응 방안 (Strategies to Improve Functional Competency and Effectively Respond to Environmental Changes of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Team in Companies)

  • Our nation has experienced remarkable growth over the half a century. Nonetheless, there is still much room for improvement in the area of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS). In particular, frequency and severity of industrial accidents did not considerably improve compared to the economic and social progress we made. The main objective of this research is to analyze what plans and actions are required for companies to promote industrial safety by 1) fostering functional competencies of EHS staffs and 2) effectively and proactively responding to rapidly changing EHS environment. For this research, EHS staffs from five large companies in Korea were surveyed. Most respondents indicated that one of key expertise required by EHS staffs is capabilities to effectively deal with changes to various domestic and international EHS-related laws and regulations. Furthermore, a predominant number of respondents commented that it is imperative for EHS staffs to have a broad knowledge of business management. As for internal issues that EHS staffs encounter within their organizations, many pointed out that their EHS vision is not sufficiently shared throughout the organization, and that the rules of leadership are critical in solving this issue. On the other hand, the survey respondents also raised an issue of limited EHS-related investments due to slow economy. As a solution, they proposed ways to align EHS organization's performance with the company's performance. Based on this survey, issues and solutions for EHS organizations were identified. Results of this research can benefit companies that plan to newly establish or further expand EHS organization.

한국 담배규제 정책의 평가: 담배규제정책 전문가 의견 조사를 토대로 (Evaluation of Tobacco Control Policy in Korea: Development and Application of the Korean Tobacco Index for Policy Monitoring and Evaluation)

  • Background: Due to lack of regular and systematic evaluation tool, Korea's tobacco control policy has not been examined its overall process of implementation including efficiency and adequacy of the policies. This study developed policy monitoring and evaluation model to assess policy implementation and effectiveness of tobacco control in Korea. Methods: Based on World Health Organization operational manual for assessment, MPOWER (monitor tobacco use and prevention policies, protect from tobacco smoke, offer help to quit tobacco use, warn about the dangers of tobacco, enforce bans on tobacco advertising promotion and sponsorship, and raise taxes on tobacco) related policies were reviewed by rating policy efforts, programme management, people (human resources and their development), provision of organization, provision of fund and partnerships (range, 0 to 5). Results: As a result of the experts' assessment, overall Korean tobacco control policies scored 2.61 points, which is poor. In relation to each 'MPOWER' policies, 'W' scored the highest points (2.93), followed by 'O' (2.91), 'M' (2.87), 'P' (2.86), and 'E' (2.23). 'R' scored the lowest points of 1.87, meaning government efforts in tobacco price policy is insufficient. Conclusion: This study concludes that Korean tobacco control policy should strengthen tax and price measures, while programme infrastructure, people, and funds for policy enforcement should be secured. Furthermore, rather than focusing on one specific measure, a balanced approach reflecting various aspects of tobacco controls should be considered in order to decrease smoking rates and prevent smoking initiation.

  • 최근에는 소프트웨어개발 프로세스나 도구보다는 개인과의 상호작용을 희망하고, 고객은 포괄적인 문서보다는 우선 작동하는 소프트웨어를 희망하며, 개발자는 계약에 대한 협상보다는 고객과의 협력을, 서로가 계획을 고수하기 보다는 변화에 대응하는 것을 더욱 가치 있게 생각한다. 이러한 관점에서, 소프트웨어 개발은 프로세스 중심보다는 프로젝트팀에게 자율성과 동기를 부여하고, 열정과 비전 등 인간관계 중심의 관리방식이 요구되고 있다. 최근에 와서 애자일 개발프로세스가 생산성 증대효과, 품질향상, 고객만족 등의 효용성이 입증되면서 프로젝트를 추진 할 때 방법론 선택에 있어, 전문가들에게 주목을 받게 되었다. 시대적 요구와 사용자 요구에 부응하기 위한 방법론 선정과 관련, 본 논문에서는 조직 구성에 있어, 제품 기반의 Cross functional team의 문제점을 해결하고자 제안된 방법론이 Feature Team 모델이며, 이 모델이 Cross functional team을 조직하고, 이 팀이 결과물(프로덕트) 단위가 아니라, 기능단위로 여러 프로덕트에 걸쳐서 개발을 진행하는 모델이라는 점에 대해 조사하였으며, 가치-주도형 애자일 기법을 통해 계획-기반형 모델과 차이점을 제시하였다. 그리고 객체지향모델링을 위해서는 기존의 JAD(joint application development)회의가 목표로 하는 도메인 분석, 요구추출, 모델링과 정리, 검토과정에 있어, UML 구조도와 행동도를 사전에 숙지하고 프로젝트를 진행하도록 제안한다.

  • This study shows organizational designs to increase the coordination between infrastructure and rolling stock operation organizations after rail reform based on wheel/rail interface and train/track interaction. Information sharing, face-to-face meeting, liaison role, task force, manager responsible for coordination, and team organization could help to coordinate infrastructure construction plan and train operation plan. It is necessary for the organizations to begin to study the interaction between track and train in Korean environments to make the coordination more efficient.

의료기관 학습조직 운영효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effectiveness of Learning Organization Managed by Medical Center)

  • This study was designed to suggest a learning organization in a medical center by examining the factors to influence effectiveness of the learning organization. We collected the data of 586 persons who participated once or more times in the learning organization managed from 2000 to 2002 by Y Medical Center located in Seoul, and included the data of 285 persons in the final analysis. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, as the results of examining the regression coefficients to predict the effectiveness of and satisfaction with the learning organization through the learning level, learning method and learning organization constructing level as the general variables, the important influential factors were shown as follows: 1)knowledge creation, knowledge storing, private learning, organizational learning, and learning organization construction of occupational and human levels as the factors to predict the working competency; 2) learning organization construction of the human level as the factors to assume the duty satisfaction; 3) gender, working years, private learning, team learning and organizational construction level for the prediction of the organizational commitment; and 4) medical technical service, knowledge creation, organization learning, and constructing level of the environmental and human levels for the assumption of the satisfaction with experience in the learning organization. Based on the study results of the effects in managing the learning organization, we can conclude the followings. First, the members who are in various working positions and occupations need to continuously participate in the learning organization. Second, to raise the organizational outcome from the management of the learning organization, it is necessary to establish systematic concepts in the constituents of the organizational effectiveness such as working competency improvement, duty satisfaction and organizational commitment, and the experience satisfaction of the learning organization. Finally, the future of the organization depends on the learning competencies of the organization members. To continuously exist and develop the organization, the private learning of the organizational members should be constantly spread and shared over the organizational level, and the usual innovations such as repetitive and habitual organizational learning should be generally tried out throughout the whole field of the management.

Kolb의 학습양식에 기반 한 팀 조직 지원 시스템 개발 (A Development of Kolb's Learning Style Based Team Organization Support System)

  • 본 연구는 Kolb의 학습양식 기반의 팀 조직 시스템의 프로토타입을 개발하는 데 목적이 있으며, 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 첫째, 시스템의 가치를 구현하기 위한 핵심아이디어와 핵심 활동, 활동을 지원하는 도구, 그리고 가이드라인 등에 대한 개발 전략을 도출하고, 둘째, 교수설계 구조모형을 바탕으로 하여 시스템을 설계한 후 인터페이스를 개발하는 것이다. 본 시스템에서 핵심적인 요소는 학습양식 검사를 통하여 효과적인 팀을 조직하는 것이다. 우선, 학습양식 검사를 통해 학습자가 자신이 선호하는 학습 환경이나 특징을 파악한 후, 다양한 학습양식을 가진 사람들이 팀을 구성하도록 한다. 팀 조직하기는 각 팀 구성원의 학습양식을 공개한 후, 이를 기준으로 하여 팀 구성원의 특성에 맞는 역할을 분담한다. 개발된 시스템의 가치와 효율성을 검증하기 위해 전문가들로 구성된 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 실시하여 시스템의 개선점을 도출한 후, 이를 반영한 최종 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 시스템은 학습자들이 언제, 어디서나 학습양식 검사를 수행하여 즉시 결과를 제공받을 수 있고, 또한 학습양식 검사 결과를 바탕으로 다양한 성향을 가진 이질적인 구성원으로 팀이 자동 구성된다. 따라서 본 시스템은 불특정 구성원을 대상으로 한 웹기반 프로젝트학습에서 뿐만 아니라, 오프라인 공간에서도 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

기업체 조직의 협력역량 요인에 대한 팀장과 팀원들의 인식을 통한 타당화 연구 (Validation Through Perceptions between Leader and Team Members on Collaborative Competencies in Corporate Organization)

  • The purpose of the study was to validate the components of practical collaborative competencies by analyzing the perceptions of corporate personnel on practical collaborative competencies. The study reviewed the theories of collaborative intelligence, collective intelligence, cooperative learning, and learning communities. Based on the results of the literature review, the study derived seven categories of participative motivation for group activities, ability to share thinking and consciousness, motivation to share experiences, ability to control emotion, ability to promote interaction, creativity, and collaborative performance as the core competencies. To validate the elements, survey was conducted for 186 corporate personnels. The results showed that the personnels perceived the following elements as important collaborative competencies: participative motivation for group activities, motivation to form participatory atmosphere, ability to manage conflict effectively, ability to form relationships, ability to form positive team atmosphere.

Performance Analysis of the Linear Induction Motor for the Deep-Underground High-Speed GTX

  • In order to develop a deep-underground great train express (GTX) in South Korea, the specifications decision and development of a traction control system (including an inverter and a traction motor), which considers a variety of route conditions, must be advanced. In this study, we examined the running resistance properties of a high-speed traction system based on a variety of tunnel types and vehicle organization methods. Then, we studied the power requirements necessary for the traction motor to maintain balanced speed in the high-speed traction system. From this, we determined the design criteria for the development of a high-speed traction system for use in the deep-underground GTX. Finally, we designed a linear induction motor (LIM) for a propulsion system, and we used the finite element method (FEM) to analyze its performance as it travelled through deep-underground tunnels.
