  • A 6year-old intact male hound cross dog, weighing 23 kg, was presented to the Teaching Animal Hospital, Chonbuk National University with the history of gunshot wound at the left elbow joint. Survey radiographs of the affected elbow revealed the presence of a metallic bullet caudal to the olecranon processes and comminuted fracture of the proximal radius and ulna. The first treatment strategy included removal of the bullet and fixation of the radius and ulna using separate bone plates, bone screw, K-wire and surgical wire, was failed. The second treatment strategy included olecranon osteotomy and rigid immobilization of the elbow joint with a bone plate applied to the caudal aspect of the humerus and ulna along with autogenous bone grafts collected from the 13th rib. The optimal angle of the joint following arthrodesis of this case appeared to be 130°. This resulted in improving the case but after 60 weeks the plate was bent and there was exudation from the wound. The third treatment strategy was the same with the second except for that the bone autografts were collected from the proximal metaphyses of the ipsilateral humerus. This resulted in a successful arthrodesis 6 weeks after the surgery. Elbow arthrodesis with bone autograft resulted in acceptable function, but abnormal gait remained in the dog due to mechanical interference with the movement of the joint.

There were no laboratory findings for parasites and fungi in the hair and skin But, the com- plete blood counts (CBC) showed leukocytosis and severe cosinophilia, It was suspected to be an inflammatory and allergic dermatitis. Thus, prednisoIone (0.5 mg/kg PO, BID for 1 week) and ampi- cillin (10 mg/kg PO, BID for 1 week given. One week later, pruritus and ecchymoses were reduced. These treatments were repeated for 7 day again. Three months later, the dog was presented again due to the relapse and exacerbation of the clinical signs. The signs were as follows; severe pru- ritus, vesicobullous skin lesions, anorexia, emaciation, lameness, and welling of carpal joints that showed inflammatory skin lesion and draining of synovia-like fluid. The values of WBC counts were returned to normal ranges. In contrast, eosinophilia was still observed. Coombs test for patient RBC and serum were negative. Hypoalbuminemia (2.5g/dl) was shown by serum chemistry. The uri- nalysis revealed and presence of leukocytes. Luxation finding of right radial carpal joint by polyarthritis was shown in radiography of affected joints.Lupus eryhematosus(LE) cells also appeared in peripheral blood and synovial fluid of affected joints. Definitely, antinuclear antibody (ANA) of patient serum using feline peripheral blood mononuclear cells was detected by all immu- nofluorescence. Based on these findings such as sedum ANA-Positive. major signs (skin disease, non- erosive polyarthritis with soft tissue swelling. and proteinuria), minor signs (fever), and LE cell-pos- itive, a diagnosis of systemic lupus crythematosus (SLE) was mad\ulcorner in this dog. The dog with SLE was administered with Pre(2.0 mg/kg PO, BID for first 4 week and then QOD) to inhibit the production of autoantibodies and with ampicillin (10 mg/kg PO, BID for first 4 weeks and then QOD) to prevent the secondary infection. The condition of this dog was monitored every 2 weeks by physical examinations, radiography, CBC, serum chemistry and urinalyais. At 8th week of treat- ment, the state of SLE evaluated by physical examinations and laboratory findings was markedly improved except for proteinura.

  • An 11-year-old, intact male Pekingese was brought to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Kangwon National University with a 10-day history of seizures. Fifteen days before coming to Kangwon National University, the dog had visited a local animal hospital for lameness, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs were prescribed to treat this symptom. However, 10 days before coming to our hospital, the dog experienced generalized seizures. Two days before his arrival, generalized ataxia and mental dullness also occurred. Our examinations revealed no remarkable findings on a routine blood test or X-ray. However, the neurological examinations confirmed mental dullness, generalized ataxia, and a lack of menace response and pupillary light reflexes. Nine hours later, dyspnea occurred, and 12 hours after that, the patient was euthanized per the client's request. A necropsy of transverse sections confirmed the presence of a prominent midline shift due to extended tumor growth. On histopathological analyses, pseudopalisading necrosis of the glial cells and microvascular proliferation were observed. In immunohistochemical analysis, glial fibrillary acidic protein, proliferating cell nuclear antigens, and ionized calcium binding adaptor molecule 1 immunoreactive cells were observed in the tumor area. Based on the results, the tumor was confirmed to be a glioblastoma. Primary intracranial tumors are rare in the veterinary field. This case report describes the clinical and histopathological findings of glioblastoma in a Pekingese.

  • This study analyzes the effects of text and image presenting methods in video lectures on students' learning flow, learning satisfaction and learning outcomes. The text presenting methods include forming short sentences of 2 or 3 words or using key words, while image presenting methods include images featuring both detailed and related information as well as images containing only related information. 167 first year students from Xingtai University were selected as experimental participants. Groups of participants were randomly assigned to engage in four types of video. The research results are as follows. First, it was found that learning flow, learning satisfaction and learning outcomes of group presented with video forms of short sentences had higher statistical significance compared to the group experiencing the key word method. Second, learning flow, learning satisfaction and learning outcomes of group presented with video forms of only related information had higher statistical significance compared to the group experiencing the presenting method of both detailed and related information. That is, the mean values of dependent variables for groups of short form text and only related information were highest. In contrast, the mean values of dependent variables for groups of key words and both detailed and related information were the lowest.

  • The purpose of this study is to extract and analyze ecological citizenship elements in the middle school home economics textbook used in the 2015 national curriculum for the introduction of ecological transformation education in the 2022 national curriculum. As a result of the analysis, the content analysis of the ecological citizenship factor was validated by six experts who are incumbent middle school home economics teachers, and the S-CVI value was 0.97, ensuring the validity of the ecological citizenship factor analysis. The results of analyzing 242 ecological citizenship factors extracted from home economics textbooks are as follows. According to the content area of the 2015 national home economics curriculum, the 'human development and family' area had the highest presence of ecological citizenship factors followed by the 'resource management and self-reliance' area and the 'home life and safety' area. Among the categories of ecological citizenship factors, 'value⋅attitude' was the most frequent, followed by 'process⋅function' and 'knowledge⋅understanding'. For each textbook composition system, ecological citizenship elements were extracted in the order of pictures, text, activities, and supplementary materials. There was a significant variation in the number of ecological citizenship factors among publishers, indicating the importance of the textbook writers' perception, interpretation, and direction of writing. Based on these analysis results, ecological citizenship teaching and learning activities applicable to home economics education were presented. This study highlights the potential for practicing ecological citizenship education in line with the new orientation of the curriculum on ecological transformation education through home economics education. Furthermore, it provides valuable baseline data for the development and implementation of textbooks for the 2022 national curriculum.

  • Akjang yoram 『樂章要覽』 is a book that summarizes only the important contents from the Akjang 樂章. Akjang 樂章 is arranged in the first half, and score 樂譜 is arranged in the second half. It seems that Akjang yoram 『樂章要覽』 passed through a total of four stages through the time when the handwriting and the lyrics were written. The presence of various handwriting and traces of modifications means that it has been passed through by several people, so it is not unrelated to the fact that several traces remain on the back of the cover of Akjang yoram 『樂章要覽』. The first part of the Akjang 樂章 is a method of presenting the name and lyrics of the accompanying music based on the ritual procedure, and in particular, the lyrics are written in Chinese characters and Hangeul sounds to improve readability. The score in the second half complies with the ritual procedures, but boldly omits overlapping melodies, and is composed based on the music, and various symbols are used to capture the expression of court music. This structure is a reflection of the direction we practiced to harmonize with the music after prior ritual procedures and diction. This was a device to increase the efficiency of music education and music practice for the court musician. The characteristics of the musical pieces are that they consist of essential musical pieces that must be mastered as musicians. In addition, the name Kim Hyung-sik 金亨植 is noted on the back cover of Akjang yoram 『樂章要覽』, and he was a court musician who was active in the age of King Sunjo 純祖. In other words, the musical pieces included in Akjang yoram 『樂章要覽』 are the core repertoire played by court musicians like Kim Hyung-sik 金亨植. Akjang yoram 『樂章要覽』 is a 'music practice booklet' containing the daily life of court musicians. Akjang yoram 『樂章要覽』 is a booklet designed for the purpose of teaching the court musicians to sing while correctly pronouncing the lyrics in major ceremonies. It is even more noteworthy in that Kim Hyung-sik 金亨植 was an owner. In addition to the fact that Kim Hyung-sik's name remains, and in the practicality of being used by various court musicians reflecting and modifying the changes of the times, it is meaningful in that it contains the path of court musicians who spent a lot of time and time to transmit court music.
