The purpose of study was to investigate practicing elementary teachers' pedagogical content knowledge and the significant predictors of their pedagogical content knowledge in science teaching. The PCK instrument was used to measure elementary teachers' pedagogical content knowledge. It consists of 6 factors to measure teachers' pedagogical content knowledge of 1)instructional methods, 2)representations, 3)contents, 4)evaluations, 5)students, and 6)curriculum. A questionnaire that consists of 7 questions regarding the teachers' degree, their number of years of teaching their choice of teaching science, their personal science teaching efficacy, their science teaching outcome expectation, their science instructional methods, and their attitudes toward teaching science, was also used to identify the information as to significant predictors of teachers' pedagogical content knowledge. A sample of 332 practicing elementary teachers participated in this study. To determine statistically significant predictors, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression methods were used to analyze the results. The results showed that the significant predictors of practicing elementary teachers' pedagogical content knowledge were their number of years of teaching, their science instructional methods, their personal science teaching efficacy and their attitudes toward teaching science. Further research of how teachers develop and construct their pedagogical content knowledge is recommended especially through the use of varied research methodologies that include qualitative methods.

Digital image technology can be used for the development of new curriculum, course assignment, teaching methods, or the evaluation of library and information science courses. In this way, the teaching course becomes more effective and more interesting. This study has shown that the number of the student registration was increased, the interaction between the instructor and students became more frequent. and the course evaluation by students were very much improved.
Elementary school students have a little awareness of privacy protection since they do not have many opportunities for systematic education on information and communication ethics. Hence, they are likely to expose their own information to others and sometimes bring on a lot of misuses by using others' information. In this paper, we provide an idea for teaching and learning methods which the elementary school students acquire privacy protection and management methods and raise their practical capabilities. We develop a role play teaching and learning model in connection with various Information and Communication Technology (ICT) activities and establish the instruction plans. Moreover, we apply them to the actual classes at grade five and six of the elementary school students respectively, and finally analyze the results. The proposed teaching and learning method shows that the students participated in a series of learning activities have higher learning effects on awareness of privacy protection than those learned with the conventional methods.
The unit fraction is the basis of the fraction concept and has a role of starting point for understanding the fraction concept. In this study, in terms of the importance of the unit fraction, the teaching methods of the fraction based on the unit fraction were explored. First, it was examined the emerging contexts of the fraction concept and the diversity of its meanings. Second, it was investigated the contents of the unit fraction in Korean and CCSSM's curriculum and textbooks. Lastly, I suggested the teaching methods using the unit fraction in terms of the introduction of fraction, fractional operations, and teaching of problem solving based on the unit fraction.
The purpose of this study is to analyze middle school students' learning characteristics they showed on the inquiry-based learning process of circumcenter using various teaching tools, and then to identify the effects of using teaching tools in the middle school students' learning process of circumcenter. For this purpose, we developed teaching materials for inquiry-based learning of circumcenter using textbook, origami, ruler and compass, GeoGebra and sand experiment. Then we applied them on the learning process of circumcenter for five groups of middle school students. From the analyzing of audio/video materials and documents which are collected from the process of participants' inquiry-based learning of circumcenter, we identified the following results. First, inquiry-based learning of circumcenter using various teaching tools promoted mathematical discourses among participants of this study. For example, they conjectured mathematical properties or justified their opinions after manipulated teaching tools in the process of learning circumcenter. Second, inquiry-based learning of circumcenter using various teaching tools promoted participants' divergent thinking. They tried many inquiry methods to find new mathematical properties relate to circumcenter. For example, they tried many inquiry methods to know whether there is unique circle containing four vertices of given quadrangles. Third, we found several didactic implications relate to inquiry-based learning of circumcenter using various teaching tools which are due to characteristics of teaching tools themselves. Participants showed several misconceptions about mathematical properties during they participated inquiry-based activity for learning of circumcenter using various teaching tools. We identified their misconceptions were not due to any other variables containing their learning characteristics but to characteristics of teaching tools.

The 2015 revised educational curricula focused on creative and convergent student education, so the importance of informatics education is arising along with emphases on its teaching and learning methods. This study has analyzed the research trend of teaching and learning methods and suggested their implications by selecting 179 studies of same keyword searching from 2000 to the present years and classifying them into 16 categories. This analysis showed that problem based learning was the most researched topic on these subjects, while unplugged learning, Creative Problem Solving model and peer teaching were among the actively studied topics. In the content domain of informatics curriculum, the problem solution and programming was most researched. This study is expected to suggest implications for not only studying informatics education research but also selecting teaching and learning methods in the field of class for teachers.
This study aimed to develop a new convergence course applying project-based learning (PBL) and collaborative teaching methods and identify its educational effects. The course development proceeded as follows: First, three instructors collaborated to define course goals, plan objectives, content, and methods, and create a syllabus for a PBL-based fashion studio course. Roles were divided to maximize expertise: one instructor focused on fashion design, another on three-dimensional cutting, and the third on flat cutting, and digital techniques. Second, the classes were conducted and feedback on student progress was shared, enhancing class quality and engagement. Third, teaching effectiveness was assessed through learner evaluation questionnaires, reflection journals, and performance assessments. Lastly, based on the results from these evaluations, positive aspects of the course were reviewed, and ways to modify it and enhance course quality for continuous improvement were explored. The results showed high satisfaction with the learning effects on major competencies, indicating that students not only effectively learned major skills but also improved their communication and teamwork. The students perceived the teaching methods positively allowing them to be more active in class. Instructors noted that the course produced higher-quality design and production outcomes compared to previous courses. Overall, the course applying PBL and collaborative teaching methods was found to improve educational quality and effectiveness, making it a valuable approach for learner-centered education.
Teaching the notion of limit of the sequence in high school mathematics needs special attention and accurate teaching methods, for it is one of the most important bases of the advanced mathematics. Therefore it is necessary for high school students to have the right understanding of the notion of limit of the sequence. In this paper, we survey several teaching methods of the notion of limit of the sequence in high school mathematics and introduce a new method using Excell program. Also through questionnaire survey we discuss and analyse students' reaction when they learn the notion of limit of the sequence. And based on that, we suggest a method that would be believed to improve the students' understanding for the notion of limit It should be also notified that questionnaire survey was performed in order to find out which method would be appropriate to teach the notion of limit of the sequence, and that the survey result was fully reflected in the guideline that suggested.
The purposes of this study were as follows; to investigate elementary school teachers' understanding of scientific inquiry, experiences in learning/teaching, their educational experience of scientific inquiry, and to study the difficulties they experience in teaching scientific inquiry methods to elementary students and their suggestions for future inquiry materials. For the purposes of this study, 157 elementary school teachers participated in a survey and 10 teachers were interviewed in-depth in relation to their ideas and experiences of scientific inquiry. The results show that most elementary school teachers had a lack of understanding of scientific inquiry skills, and lacked educational experiences of inquiry methods in general. They generally perceived the 7th science text-books as being inappropriate and inadequate for teaching students scientific inquiry processes. The educational implications are discussed to help practitioners implement scientific inquiries successfully through the various types of teaching materials and professional developments.

Minecraft game is a sandboxed game based on a high degree of users' freedom; the game encourages its users to recreate various play patterns to increase their immersion. Although recently there were many studies that use Minecraft game techniques to improve the teaching methods but still not well adapted due to being applications-based techniques. In this paper, we present a teaching model that utilizes the same concept of the Minecraft games in where learners customize the class concepts based on their needs. Moreover, Minecraft-based learning games attempt to be used for learner-led, creativity and programming instruction, to overcome these use-cases limitations, by our study we aim to include the Minecraft-based learning games in class teaching activities, theoretical and practical lessons. In this way, we intend to increase interest in programming lessons, and to increase immersion as another way of game learning. In the future, we attempt to measure various effects of the uses of Minecraft-game-based teaching in programming classes compare to the traditionally used methods.
