In the context of domestic consumption environment changes such as expansion of smartphones and increase of single-person households, hypermarket, which was the mainstream of the existing retail market, have recorded negative growth for the last three years due to declining sales. And it is not enough to analyze the influence relationship with other retail channels or investigate the cause of consumption movement. In this study, we analyzed the decline in the growth rate of hypermarket by demographic variables, consumption time, etc. And logistic regression analysis revealed the relationship between the decrease in consumption of hypermarket and the change in the proportion of sales of other retail channels. In addition, we surveyed consumers who have decreased consumption of hypermarket based on actual card consumption data to determine why they choose different retail channels. This is significant in that the result of quantitative analysis of changes in retail channel consumption and the result of qualitative reasoning converged to give a stereoscopic view of consumption.

This study surveyed residents and public officials for the projects to make smart-city plans of Geumsan-gun. First, domestic and foreign cases related to smart city projects were reviewed. The local status of Geumsan-gun was investigated regarding various aspects of the natural, social, urban environment, and smart-city facilities. The survey results were as follows. Overall, more than half of the survey respondents said they were satisfied with their housing quality. Several problems in their areas, such as inefficient welfare system, shortage of parking space, and industrial infrastructure, were reported. On the other hand, tourism and leisure facilities, health care support systems, industries to boost the economy, and the job market were also important issues. The problem was that the regional problems mentioned above were not in line with their preferences for smart-city services. The implications of the survey results could be summed up as follows. The groupware surveys of Geumsan-gun should be used as survey tools, whereas IT survey tools (Google, Survey Monkey, etc.) should be used for locals. In particular, a survey targeting residents should ask plain and compact questions taking advantage of local gatherings. It is also important to have a pilot-survey with relevant public officials and select related projects and regional issues. The survey of local residents and public officials is a prerequisite for promoting smart city projects. The smart city project shall reflect the needs of residents while solving community problems by considering the survey results and local conditions.

This study is the basic data on how much the relocation of military unit influenced to local economy based on the survey targeting local merchants in order to analyze the impact on local economy by the relocation of military unit. That is, this study has actually verified the impact of "sales volume factor, floating population factor, regular customers factor" so questionnaires were distributed and collected targeting local merchants. Research results The impact before and after the relocation of army division 35 was verified to be meaningful and practical. This study verified that the relocation of army division 35 has influence the local economy, more research of impact on the local economy by the relocation of military unit shall be continued.

To keep pace with rapidly changing social and technological trends, the Department of Mechanical and System Design Engineering at Hongik University is in the process of updating teaching materials and learning methodologies while evaluating/revising our existing curriculum. In order to be better apprised of the employment needs and student aspirations, we have conducted three separate but related surveys by targeting experienced professionals and managers, alumni working in industries as practising engineers, and our current students. The surveys have furnished us with valuable insights that, we hope, will lead to a new curriculum and learning methods more in tune with needs of our students as well as their future employers. Among other findings, the analysis of the survey responses points towards expansion of integrated laboratory and design experiences, cultivation of improved written and oral communication capabilities involving individual and team efforts, and development of interdisciplinary courses encompassing related fields of engineering as well as emerging fields such as nano and information technologies.

With the architectural energy saving technique such as building insulation, airtightness etc., changing the indoor temperature and shortening the air conditioning time etc. are the good methods to practice energy saving in our lives. This study aims to seek a way to realize energy saving under investigation through a questionnaire survey about energy consumption condition and energy saving perception. 93% of the respondents recognized the need for energy saving, and 67% said more energy saving would possible in homes. Viable energy saving way was questioned by five steps method. More than 50% responded 'possible' or 'seems possible' at most of the items. Whereas less than 50% responded 'possible' or 'seems possible' at the items of 'lessening the cooling time' and 'lessening the shower time'. Ages of 50s who responded 'possible' or 'seems possible' was relatively less compared to 30s and 40s.

In this research, it is the research which carried out the fact-finding for the preparation of old age targeting middle and middle age. After requesting a questionnaire survey for middle-aged and elderly people, it was carried out by the method of collection. A total of 350 copies were distributed, and there were a lot of questions that were poor in response or lacking. Except for the 39 copies, a total of 311 copies of SPSS 22.0 were tried and frequency analysis, t-test and oneway ANOVA were performed. Targeting middle-aged and elderly people, we grasped the difference in regional characteristics and differences in life of old-aged people. The purpose of this study is as follows. First of all, the difference of life in old age according to the socio-demographic characteristics of middle and middle age, second middle and middle age, socio-demographic, economic, life in old age, living in physical age, or social old age It is the provision of basic materials for the preparation of old age by grasping the difference of life.

The purpose of this study is to derive a UX that can help the use of fintech applications by senior users in their 60s or older, which has naturally increased with the increase in the elderly population. The study extracted five factors commonly considered important in fintech applications and was conducted based on a survey of general users and in-depth interviews with senior users. The research factors were extracted through a literature review into three general user experience research factors and two senior user experience research factors. After a survey targeting general users, in-depth interviews were conducted with senior users. As a result, we found notable differences in concerns about responsiveness and perceived usefulness between general and senior users. Based on the characteristics derived from the results of this study, we designed UX to help senior users use fintech applications.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the level of awareness and treatment condition of scoliosis, and provide the basic data to give awareness, prevention and maintenance of scoliosis, targeting the middle and high school students. From 11th, April 2011 to 27th April 2011, this researcher executed the survey targeting 765 students from the middle and high school by selecting two middle schools and two high schools, and bus terminals and apartment complexes which have the high population density and mobility in Chungnam Seosan city. The result of the research is like this. The level of awareness about scoliosis in the middle and high school appeared highly as 63%. The answer which shows not having the treatment after they are diagnosed with scoliosis appeared most highly as 43 people(51.2%), the answer which shows having the treatment and then quitting it appeared as 22 people (26.2%), and the answer which shows having the treatment after they are diagnosed with scoliosis appeared as 19 people (22.6%).

In this study, we developed a depth-damage function based on flood damage survey with focusing on building damage in urban area. We designed items for the questionnaire survey to develop a depth-damage function which estimates the amount of damage based on inundation depth targeting Dongducheon, Korea, which has experienced severe inundation damage due to significant flooding in July 2011. Based on the survey of the area, we developed a depth-damage function and used this to estimate the real amount of damage on buildings in the inundation area. To assess the damage on buildings, we categorized buildings into two groups; namely residential buildings and commercial buildings. Also, in order to calculate the real amount of damage caused by flooding, properties and detailed damaged items were sub-divided into two groups for the survey; facilities loss (wall paper, floor paper, painting, electrical facilities, and boilers) and furnishing loss (furniture, electronic products, and daily necessities. We expect this study on the process for developing depth-damage function and on the investigation research for flooded area to help in the efficient implementation of all kinds of disaster management policies and the attainment of a society safe from disaster.

This study aims to explore the significance of homework help service as a library program to support young people in the community and investigate the characteristics of homework help services in U.S. public libraries. It reviews the previous literature on the cases and trend of homework help services in U.S. public libraries. It also investigates the practice and characteristics of homework help services using an email survey targeting public libraries that offer the services. The results are analyzed in terms of the user, collection, space, public relations and human resources of homework help services. This study may contribute to eliciting the service plan on homework help service in its planning and implementation stage in public libraries.
