  • In order for electro-optical tracking system (EOTS) to have accurate target coordinate, accurate navigation results are required. If an integrated navigation system is configured using an inertial measurement unit (IMU) of EOTS and the vehicle's navigation results, navigation results with high rate can be obtained. Due to the time-delay of the navigation results of the vehicle in the EOTS and scale factor errors of the EOTS IMU in high-speed and high dynamic operation of the vehicle, it is much more difficult to have accurate navigation results. In this paper, an integrated navigation system of EOTS which compensates time-delay and scale factor error is proposed. The proposed integrated navigation system consists of vehicle's navigation system which provides time-delayed navigation results, an EOTS IMU, an inertial navigation system (INS), an augmented Kalman filter and integration Kalman filter. The augmented Kalman filter outputs navigation results, in which the time-delay of the vehicle's navigation results is compensated. The integration Kalman filter estimates position, velocity, attitude error of the EOTS INS and accelerometer bias, accelerometer scale factor error, gyro bias and gyro scale factor error from the difference between the output of the augmented Kalman filter and the navigation result of the EOTS INS. In order to check performance of the proposed integrated navigation system, simulations for output data of a measurement generator and land vehicle experiments were performed. The performance evaluation results show that the proposed integrated navigation system provides more accurate navigation results.

  • In this paper, we research the hand tracking and calibration algorithm using the EPIC sensor. We analyze the characteristics of EPIC sensor to be more sensitive in the around E-filed, and then we implement the 2-dimensional axis-transformation using the difference of detected amplitude between EPIC sensors. In addition, we implement the calibration algorithm considering the characteristics of EPIC sensor, and then we apply the Kalman filter to efficiently track a target. Thus, we implement the environment of window applications for verification and analysis the implemented algorithm. In turn, we use the DAQ API to extract the analog data. The DAQ hardware has the function of measuring and generating an electrical signal. Moreover, we confirm the movement of mouse cursor by detecting the potential difference depending on the movement of the user's hands.

  • This paper presents an implementation of a real-time multi-sensor data fusion algorithm for Flight Test Computer. The sensor data consist of positional information of the target from a radar, a GPS receiver and an INS. The data fusion algorithm is designed by the 21st order distributed Kalman Filter which is based on the PVA model with sensor bias states. A fault detection and correction logics are included in the algorithm for bad measurements and sensor faults. The statistical parameters for the states are obtained from Monte Carlo simulations and covariance analysis using test tracking data. The designed filter is verified by using real data both in post processing and real-time processing.

  • This paper reports a sliding window filtering approach for ground moving targets with cross-correlated sensor noise and uncertainty. In addition, the effect of uncertain parameters during a tracking error on the model performance is considered. A distributed fusion sliding window filter is also proposed. The distributed fusion filtering algorithm represents the optimal linear combination of local filters under the minimum mean-square error criterion. The derivation of the error cross-covariances between the local sliding window filters is the key to the proposed method. Simulation results of the motion of the ground moving target a demonstrate high accuracy and computational efficiency of the distributed fusion sliding window filter.

  • In this paper, a sensor bias estimation method with pseudo measurement for asynchronous multisensor systems is proposed. The proposed bias estimation method separates the local filter which estimates the target state with biased measurements into two parts, one is bias part, the other is target state part. By using these two parts, the algorithm generates the pseudo bias measurement for estimating bias, and then eliminates bias of local track through bias compensation. Finally, the proposed algorithm is evaluated by comparing with the existing EXX method.

  • The three-mode PID controller is widely used in plant because control algorithm is simple and tuning method is general. But the conventional PID controller can not have the both purpose of setpoint tracking and disturbance rejection at the same time. In this paper, we studied the application 2DOF PID controller to pneumatic control valve through simulation and experiments. Results are Presented a satisfactory response

  • Characteristics of PCM(Pulse Code Modulation) waveform are suitable for target tracking. Especially in terms of dwell time, it is desirable to detect and track a moving target with the single PCM waveform for a MFR(Multi-Function Radar) which carries out multiple tasks. General PCM waveform processing includes Doppler filter bank caused by the characteristics of ambiguity function, to detect target and estimate Doppler frequency, which induces hardware burden and computational complexity. We propose a ML(Maximum Likelihood) based Doppler estimator for a PCM waveform, which is the closed form suboptimal solution and computationally efficient to estimate Doppler frequency and detect a moving target.

  • In this paper, we propose a method for multi-touch tracking using MRF-based particle filters and gesture likelihood estimation Each touch (of one finger) is considered to be one object. One of frequently occurring issues is the hijacking problem which means that an object tracker can be hijacked by neighboring object. If a predicted particle is close to an adjacent object then the particle's weight should be lowered by analysing the influence of neighboring objects for avoiding hijacking problem. We define a penalty function to lower the weights of those particles. MRF is a graph representation where a node is the location of a target object and an edge describes the adjacent relation of target object. It is easy to utilize MRF as data structure of adjacent objects. Moreover, since MRF graph representation is helpful to analyze multi-touch gestures, we describe how to define gesture likelihoods based on MRF. The experimental results show that the proposed method can avoid the occurrence of hijacking problems and is able to estimate gesture likelihoods with high accuracy.

  • This paper presents the intelligent tracking algorithm for maneuvering target using the positional error compensation of the maneuvering target. The difference between measured point and predict point is separated into acceleration and noise. Fuzzy c-mean clustering and predicted impact point are used to get the optimal acceleration value. The membership function is determined for acceleration and noise which are divided by fuzzy c-means clustering and the characteristics of the maneuvering target is figured out. Divided acceleration and noise are used in the tracking algorithm to compensate computational error. The filtering process in a series of the algorithm which estimates the target value recognize the nonlinear maneuvering target as linear one because the filter recognize only remained noise by extracting acceleration from the positional error. After filtering process, we get the estimates target by compensating extracted acceleration. The proposed system improves the adaptiveness and the robustness by adjusting the parameters in the membership function of fuzzy system. To maximize the effectiveness of the proposed system, we construct the multiple model structure. Procedures of the proposed algorithm can be implemented as an on-line system. Finally, some examples are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • Recently a new algorithm which combines advantages of the IMM and IE methods has been suggested. The combined-IMM/IE algorithm could improve the performance to some extent. However, the problem of large increase of tracking error near the maneuver detection due to the sudden maneuver input has not been solved. In this paper, we propose two schemes which can resolve this limitations of combined-IMM/IE algorithm. For illustrations of the performance of the proposed methods. Monte-Carlo simulations are carried out and the results are analyzed.
