Volatile disinfection by-products (DBPs) contained in chlorinated tap water are released into household air during indoor activities (showering, cooking, dish -washing, etc.) associated with tap water uses and may cause adverse health effects on humans. Twenty seven subjects were recruited and their homes were visited during the winter of 2002. Tap water, household air, and exhaled breath samples were collected and analyzed for five volatile DBPs (chloroform, bromodichloromethane, dichloroacetonitrile, 1,1 -dichloropropanone and 1,1,1 trichloropropanone). Chloroform was a major DBP found in most samples. Tap water chloroform concentrations were not statistically correlated with its household air concentrations, probably due to individual variability in indoor activities such as showering, cooking, and dish - washing as well as household ventilation. Correlation of breath chloroform concentration with household air chloroform concentration showed its possible use as a biomarker of exposure to household air chloroform. Exposure estimates suggested that inhalation during household stay be a major route of exposure to volatile DBPs and that ingestion of tap water be a trivial contributor to the total exposure in Koreans.

In this paper we propose a new dual structured tap selection algorithm for voice echo canceller in digital cellular communication system, investigating adaptive filtering algorithms for echo cancellation in long distance telephony or mobile communication system. The proposed algorithm has a two-stage processing structure that after a dispersive region in an impulse response of an echo path is found out, the tap coefficients of a short length filter are adjusted adaptively for the region, because the impuse response has a very little portion of the dispersion. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm with 256 taps gives a performance of convergence speed superior to both full-tap normalized least mean with 256 taps gives a performance of convergence speed superior to both full-tap normalized least mean square (NLMS) and a scrub taps waiting in a queue (STWQ) algorithms by about eighty per cent, also to a tap selection algorithm by about twenty per cent. And the resutls diplay that if the more tap coefficients are used due to a long delayed dispersive zone, the proposed algorithm produces the better performance.

This study explored the effectiveness of a hierarchical treatment of aphasic perseveration (TAP) program in a Korean client with transcortical sensory aphasia. The subject with 52% perserveration score (Korean version of Boston Naming Test : K-BNT) was 44 year-old female with MCA (Middle cerebral artery) infarction. The experimental design used was an alternating treatment design with the hierarchical TAP and conventional audio-visual stimulation. The frequency of occurrence of perseverative behaviors and correct response in naming performance were analyzed and compared. It was claimed that the hierarchical TAP was more effective in naming performance than conventional audio-visual stimulation in terms of correct naming response. The frequency of occurrence of perseverative behaviors was lower in hierarchical TAP but the difference was relatively small. Unlike in English, sentence completion task was no longer stimulable while unison speech was very stimulable among the specific strategies of TAP program in Korean. Therefore, it could be said that TAP is language-dependent.

In this paper, we propose a mechanical contact inner tap inspection system that can inspect the defect of the inner tap immediately after inner tap is processed within the machining center. The inspection module has the collet chuck structure, so it can mounted on the main spindle of the machining center during inspection. It was developed with a focus on inspection for tap having 20 mm depth which is primarily fabricated in automotive parts and has a double sided PCB-type control system including sensing function based on Zigbee module, micom and IR sensor for wireless transmission of measured data with low power operation, and also a battery for supplying electric power. The current consumption is 46.8mA in the inspection operation mode and 0.0268mA in the power saving mode for 3.7V of the applied power source, so that 30,000 times or more inspection can be performed with assumed 5 seconds inspection time for one tap. Experiments in test jig system and actual machining center confirm that the proposed inner tap inspection system can be applied to the batch process of simultaneous inspection after tapping in the machining center.

인터넷과 네트워크 기술의 발달은 실생활에 많은 편리함을 주고 있지만 그에 따른 여러 가지 부작용들도 많이 나타나고 있다. 그 중 가장 심각한 문제는 보안 사고에 의한 피해인데, 최근에는 특정 장치를 해킹하여 자료를 망가뜨리는 것보다 불특정 다수에 의한 과다한 트래픽 생성 공격이 더 많아지고 있다. 특히 DoS/DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service)와 같은 공격은 공격자가 네트워크 전문지식을 가지고 있지 않아도 공격을 할 수 있고 원천적인 방어 방법이 없다는 점에서 심각성이 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크 모니터링에 사용되는 TAP(Test Access Port)의 기반 기술을 이용하여 평시에는 TAP 의 본 기능을 수행하다 DoS/DDoS 공격과 같이 과다한 네트워크 트래픽 발생으로 장비가 멈추거나 망가지는 상황 등의 장애 발생시 내부 네트워크를 외부와 물리적으로 분리할 수 있는 지능형 TAP(S-TAP)에 대한 설계에 대해 설명하였다. 또한 S-TAP을 이용하여 기존 네트워크에 적용될 수 있는 환경을 제시하여 S-TAP의 유용성도 언급하였다.

Clean and safe water is the fundamental element for the good life of people. However, expanding the distrust on the tap water increased the anxiety on drinking water and accelerated the growth of the natural and purified water market. In this respect, this study was made to find an opportunity to invigorate the use of the Seoul tap water for drinking by means of assessing the awareness of the citizen and the current condition on the tap water in Seoul. The findings were that the direct use of the tap water for drinking was very low and 'use after boiling' was also lower relative to 'use of purified water'. Also, the education on the environment should include the importance of the use of the tap water to improve the awareness of the citizen on the tap water and the administrative role, typically for educational institutes and schools, might be required to increase the use of the tab water for drinking.

This work focused on corrosion of carbon steel bolted GECM/Al parts in tap water and NaCl solutions. In tap water and NaCl solutions, open circuit potential of GECM and its potentials in a series of carbon steel bolt>Ti>Al became active. Regardless of test materials, open circuit potentials in tap water were noble, and increasing NaCl concentration, its potentials became active. Immersion test of single specimen showed that no corrosion occur in Ti and GECM. In tap water, carbon steel bolt didn't show red corrosion product and in chloride solutions, corrosion rate in 1% NaCl solution was greater than its rate in 3.5% NaCl solution and red corrosion product in 1% NaCl solution was earlier observed than that in 3.5% NaCl solution. It seems that this behavior would be related to zinc-coatings on the surface of carbon stee l bolt. On the other hand, aluminium was corroded in tap water and chloride solutions. Corrosion of aluminium in tap water was due to the presence of chloride ion in tap water by sterilizing process.

본 논문에서는 화면터치에 따른 탭 동작을 패턴 화하여 인식할 수 있는 UX/UI와 탭 패턴인식 알고리즘을 설계하여 사용자 맞춤형 즐겨찾기 애플리케이션 구현을 하였다. 스마트 폰 사용자가 입력패드에 손가락으로 탭 하는 동작들을 패턴으로 생성하고, 이 탭 패턴에 스마트 폰에서 사용자가 즐겨 사용하는 서비스를 설정할 수 있도록 한다. 사용자가 입력패드를 이용하여 탭 패턴을 입력했을 때, 탭 패턴 유사도를 측정하여 등록된 탭 패턴과 유사하면 설정된 스마트 폰의 서비스 기능을 수행한다. 실험을 통해 제안한 방법이 사용자 편의성을 고려한 다양한 형태의 탭 패턴에 대하여 높은 인식률과 입력 종료 후의 지연 시간 단축을 보장함을 보여주었다.

The present electropalatographic study reports the production of the allophones. i.e., [l] and [r], of Korean tap /r/ and their coarticulatory characteristics in /$C{\'{a}}r#g$/ and /$C{\'{a}}r#i$/ sequences. The finding that tap /r/ involves a complete oral closure with less lingual contact, i.e., apico-frontalveolar coupling. than lateralized /r/ which involves apico-bladealveolar coupling and tongue dorsum lowering for adequate airflow through either side and/or both of the tongue body suggests that the two allophones of the tap /r/ have different lingual gestures. Moreover. in comparison with the tap. the lateral exerts longer lingual contacts. The mean ratio between them is 3.7. In the sequences /Car#g/. the two adjacent antagonistic segments (i.e., /r/ and /g/) show mutual coarticulation effects taking on features of adjacent segment. but either of them is precisely constrained without blocking the formation of involved major lingual gestures for the other segment. In sequences /Car#i/ occurs anticipatory V-to-C coarticulation but not vocalic carryover effects. In both sequences. the allophones reveal insignificant wordinitial consonantal carryover coarticulatory effects and insignificant speaker-specific lingual contacts.

Tapping is one of the most widely used machining operations. There are several methodes of producing external screw threads, e.g. turning, milling with single or multiple cutter, rolling, and grinding, but the methods available for cutting enternal threads are less numerous, and for threads in small holes, tapping is employed almost exclusively. In this study, the tap with the various geometry has been developed in order to tap special workmaterial at considerably higher cutting speed than that of the conventional HSS tap. The experimental tests are run with various cutting speed by using a piezo type tool dynamometer to measure tapping torque. Tapping torque is affected by the design of the tap, which seems to be due to internal friction and shearing of the metal. It is clarified that the process of chip formation strongly depends on rake angle, relief angle, angle of twist.
