This study was to suggest the creation of hybrid bibliographic records in complicated bibliographic environment applying both AACR2 and RDA for uniform display and correct search. The literature reviews and case studies were used as the research methods. In case studies, Kent State University, University of Houston as the libraries, and Backstage Library Works as algorithm converting to hybrid records were surveyed. For creating the hybrid records, it was needed to differentiate hybrid records and born RDA records, to keep the data that appeared in 250 tag without spelling out edition data, to maintain 260 tag instead of converting 260 tag to 264 tag, and last to design mapping table for converting GMD to CMC. This study would suggest uniform display and search through hybridization of bibliographic records of foreign resources.

In order to detect the exact position of high-speed train, it is necessary to obtain location information from the transponder tag installed along the track. When the transponder tag receives the energizing signal from the train, it sends a telegram to the reader, which includes location information. In high-speed railway environment, this telegram can be corrupted by electromagnetic interference caused by onboard electric train power equipments or wayside devices. In order to assess the performance of transponder system under this harsh environment, we carried out field test using HEMU-430X. Field test results are briefly introduced and discussed for the evaluation of the transponder system under development.
The stability of turbulent nonpremixed interacting flames is investigated in terms of nozzle configuration shapes which depend on the existence of the center nozzles. Six nozzle arrangements which are cross 4, 5, 8, 9, square 8 and circular 8 nozzles are used for the experiment. Those are arranged to see the effect of the center nozzle out of multi-nozzle. There are many parameters that affect flame stability in multi-nozzle flame such as nozzle separation distance, fuel flowrates and nozzle configuration, but the most important factor is the existence of nozzles in the center area from the nozzle arrangement. As the number of nozzle in the area is reduced, more air can be entrained into the center of flame base and then tag flame is formed. In the case of circular 8 nozzles, blowout flowrates are above 5.4 times compared with that of single equivalent area nozzle.

Recently, Ahn et al proposed an improved authentication protocol using the hash function in RFID environment. Their proposed protocol provide the following three merits; it reduces the computational costs of RFID tag. itrfduces the communication overhead between the reader and the tag. it protects the user privacy. However, this paper points out that does not authenticate the legality of the RFID reader and database. this paper proposes an improved mutual authentication protocol that can provide the mutual authenticaion.

In this study, we propose an RFID based container terminal operation process. Field tests are conducted for 900 MHz (truck identification) tag and 433 MHz RFID (container identification/e-seal) tag at an Incheon container terminal to verify possibility of applying RFID in the container terminal gate. To evaluate effect of applying RFID in the container terminal operation, simulation models for current and RFID based container terminals are developed using ARENA. Simulations are carried out using industrial field data and the result indicates that performance of the container terminal can be prominently improved after RFID application.
The most part of vegetable oils is accumulated as storage lipid, triacylglycerol (TAG) in seed and used as energy source when seed is germinated. It is also used as essential fatty acids and energy source for human and animal. Recently, vegetable oils have been more and more an important resource because of the increasing demand of vegetable oils for cooking and industrial uses for bio-diesel and industrial feedstock. In order to increase vegetable oils using biotechnology, over-expressing or repressing the regulatory genes involved in the flow of carbon into lipid biosynthesis is critical during seed development. In this review, we described candidate genes may influence oil amount and investigate their potential for oil increase. Genes involved in the regulation from biosynthesis of fatty acids to the accumulation oils in seed can be classified as follows: First, genes play a role for synthesis precursor molecules for TAG. Second, genes participate in fatty acid biosynthesis and TAG assembly. Lastly, genes encodes transcription factors involved in seed maturation and accumulation of seed oil. Because factors/genes determining oil quantity in seed is complex as mentioned, recently regulation of transcription factors is being considered more favorable approach than manipulate multiple genes for increasing oil in transgenic plants. However, it should be figured out the problem that bad agricultural traits induced by the overexpression of transcription factor gene.
This study was carried out to construct a DNA profile database for 102 watermelon cultivars through the comparison of polymorphism level and genetic relatedness using genomic microsatellite (gMS) and expressed sequence tag (EST)-microsatellite (eMS) markers. Sixteen gMS and 10 eMS primers showed hyper-variability and were able to represent the genetic variation within 102 watermelon cultivars. With gMS markers, an average of 3.63 alleles per marker were detected with a polymorphism information content (PIC) value of 0.479, whereas with eMS markers, the average number of alleles per marker was 2.50 and the PIC value was 0.425, indicating that eMS detects a lower polymorphism level compared to gMS. Cluster analysis and Jaccard's genetic distance coefficients using the unweighted pair group method with arithmetic average (UPGMA) based on the gMS, eMS, and combined data sets showed that 102 commercial watermelon cultivars could be categorized into 6 to 8 major groups corresponding to phenotypic traits. Moreover, this method was sufficient to identify 78 out of 102 cultivars. Correlation analysis with Mantel tests for those clusters using 3 data sets showed high correlation ($r{\geq}0.80$). Therefore, the microsatellite markers used in this study may serve as a useful tool for germplasm evaluation, genetic purity assessment, and fingerprinting of watermelon cultivars.

It is an important element increasing ship production to manage an accurate position of transporters(TP) and ship blocks in a shipyard. However, most works are presently being performed by judgment of a system manager and skilled workers. This paper introduced about the system for tracking an accurate position of the transporters and the blocks which are main mobile objects in the shipyard, and proposed a method to decide whether or not a loading/unloading state of the blocks, which is one of the most important functions of the tracking system. Three sensors were used in order to implement the method. One is a RFID reader to identify a target block, another is a RFID reader to estimate a position of the TP as it recognizes a underground tag. The other is a ultrasonic sensor to detect an object. Two experiments were carried out in the shipyard. After correcting errors found on the first experiment. we confirmed that the result could be applied to the shipbuilding yard from the final experiment.
The production cost of biodiesel from microalgae is still not competitive, compared with that of petroleum fuels. The genetic improvement of microalgal strains to increase triacylglycerol (TAG) accumulation is one way to reduce production costs. One of the most promising approaches is the isolation of starch-deficient mutants, which have been reported to successfully increase TAG yields. To date, such a stable mutant is not available in an oleaginous marine microalga, despite several advantages of using marine species for biodiesel production. Algae in the genus Dunaliella are known to tolerate high salt concentration and other environmental stresses. In addition, the cultivation processes for large-scale outdoor commercialization have been well established for this genus. In this study, Dunaliella tertiolecta was used to screen for starch-deficient mutants, using an iodine vapor-staining method. Four out of 20,016 UV-mutagenized strains showed a substantial reduction of starch content. A significantly higher TAG content, up to 3-fold of the wild-type level, was observed in three of the mutants upon induction by nitrogen depletion. The carotenoid production and growth characteristics of these mutants, under both normal and oxidative stress conditions, were not compromised, suggesting that these processes are not necessarily affected by starch deficiency. The results from this work open up new possibilities for exploring Dunaliella for biodiesel production.

This study aims to analyze the properties of the tags used in the fiction genre, the structural aspect of the patterns and the contents of the tags by utilizing LibraryThing, where the tags are assigned in work units of FRBR. A comparative analysis was conducted in terms of the level of association between the descriptive terms in bibliography and LCSH terms. The study also examined the sources of the tags not included in the bibliographic descriptions or LCSHs, what aspects of work they represented, and the terms used as tags in relation to the work. By restricting the study to a single genre, a number of tags that reflected the characteristics of fiction (three elements of the fiction which are theme, plot, style and three elements of the fiction composition which are character, event, setting) were extracted. This study finds out the role of the tag making up the taxonomy and proposes a new direction for the tagging system by demonstrating the possibility of using tags as facets in information organization and retrieval.
