TV broadcast of election returns is an index to measure a public responsibility, scientific analysis and production power in each broadcasting station. This is the reason why each broadcasting station is spending a great amount of money, mobilizing many people and using facilities. TV election returns broadcast has been advanced for decades, particularly in its production, system and presentation. And, among those, broadcast graphic and inset graphic, which are representing election-related information, have became the important components in TV broadcast of election returns because of the advancement of production technology, a variety of presentation forms, and the visual effects. In this research, I analyze the part of image composition in inset graphic of TV election returns broadcast. As a result, in making insert graphic, each broadcasting station is analyzed to be producing the accurate and clear delivery of information on the stability and reliability of a visualized form, first and foremost. It requires that we research the methodology for the accurate and reliable delivery of information, as well as various image productions with a result of the progress in production technology.

With enforcement of five-day workweek system, leisure time for family has increased. However, there is imbalance between demand and supply of leisure because of the absence of proper way for spending leisure time with family. On the other hand, TV, which has been playing an important role as a media for family, shows new possibility of interaction with advent of Smart TV. With this tendency, now it could be an appropriate time for researching the healthy way to spend leisure time on weekend with family. Therefore this paper aims to propose a family farming contents called 'Our Farm', which links on-line and off-line. To firm up necessity and appropriateness of this paper, I analyzed existing thesis and games for family and did FGI(Focus Group Interview) with a family. In this research, I proposed the picture UI based on results of investigation.

This paper considers a power saving technique of set-top box (STB) that turns the signal into content which is then displayed on the television (TV) screen. A traditional power saving scheme, Auto Power Down (APD), was devised to reduce the power consumption of STB. APD checks whether the user is watching TV over a period of time and enforces STB into stand-by mode when the check result reveals the user is not watching TV. This paper proposes an enhanced power saving scheme that transits STB operation mode to 'stand-by' immediately when STB recognizes the change of TV's external input signal. The proposed scheme does not require the monitoring time to check the users' watching TV, and transits to standby mode faster than the conventional APD, which results in better performance in power saving. The simulation result shows that the proposed scheme achieves 2 to 11% improvement in power consumption compared with the conventional APD.

This study ascertained violence regulation of television program. Television programs that infringed the standards of violence and were sanctioned, were analyzed in terms of physical and contextual violence. In order to get data, content analysis was adopted. The results shows that violent behavior in terms of physical and violence motivations in terms of contextual were most frequently regulated. There were different results of the level of imposed sanction in terms of physical and contextual violence between network and cableTV. The regulation of television violence could be confirmed with these results.

In spite of distortion caused by noise and echo, the audio fingerprinting technique must identify successfully an audio source. This audio fingerprinting technique is applying for TV commercial advertisement identification. In this paper, we propose a robust audio fingerprinting method for TV commercial advertisement identification. In the proposed method, a prominent audio peak pair fingerprint based on constant Q transform improves the accuracy of the audio fingerprinting system in real noisy environments. Experimental results confirm that the proposed method is quite robust than previous audio fingerprinting method in different noise conditions and achieves promising accurate results.

오디오 핑거프린트는 콘텐츠의 오디오 신호의 특색을 요약한 서명(signature)으로 2nd 스크린 서비스의 기반 기술로 주목 받고 있다. 이를 이용한 오디오 핑거프린트 시스템은 콘텐츠의 오디오를 인식하고 해당 콘텐츠와 연관된 메타 데이터를 2nd 디바이스와 웹을 통해 연결시키는 기능을 제공한다. 스마트링크 TV 는 이러한 오디오 핑거프린트를 이용한 KBS 의 콘텐츠 장면(scene) 기반 2nd 스크린 서비스 플랫폼이다. 본 논문에서는 한국의 방송환경에 적용된 스마트링크 TV 의 전반적인 플랫폼 구조와 활용방법에 대해 살펴본다.

디지털 콘텐츠의 급속한 보급과 더불어 휴대용 단말기를 이용한 eBook 관련 콘텐츠의 개발이 점증하고 있는 추세에 유통 다변화를 통한 보급 확대를 위해 스마트 TV를 통한 VOD 방송콘텐츠와 연동하여 전자책을 사용자에게 즉시로 제공할 수 있는 시스템이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 스마트 TV 방송콘텐츠를 기반으로 한 eBook 콘텐츠의 VOD 서비스를 하이브리드형으로 휴대 스마트 기기에 제공하기 위한 효과적인 시스템의 구성과 DRM 전략을 위한 프레임워크를 제시하고 프로토타입 시스템을 제안한다.

The article reveals the essence of cyber socialization influencing the process of education and development. The general and potential possibilities of cyber socialization in the process of using the cyberspace of the Internet environment are presented. The sudden transition to distance learning in the spring of 2020 put the pedagogical community in the face of problems related to the content, organizational and methodological basis of the educational process. During the training in distance mode, a rich experience was gained in the use of information and communication technologies. The article discusses the techniques and methods of teaching using the capabilities of information and communication and digital technologies.
