This study was carried out to develop safe and novel anticoagulation agents from oriental medicinal herbs. From 33 medicinal herbs, 40 different ethanol extracts were prepared according to place of origin or extraction parts, and anticoagulation activities were evaluated by determination of thrombin time (TT), prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT). The average water content and average extraction ratio for the medicinal herbs were $6.85{\pm}2.26%$ and $5.27{\pm}4.25%$, respectively. Evaluation of TT at various concentrations of the extract led to the selection of Mucuna birdwoodiana, Prunus armeniaca, Cacalia ainsliaeiflora, Cinnamonum aromaticum, and Rhus javanica Linneas potent antithrombosis medicinal herbs. Evaluation of PT and aPTT showed that the extracts of R.javanica Linne, M. birdwoodiana, and P. armeniaca have strong anticoagulation activities. Determination of hemolytic activities of 40 different ethanol extracts against human red blood cells, however, showed that only M. birdwoodiana, C. ainsliaeiflora, C. aromaticum, and R. javanica Linnehas strong anticoagulation activity without hemolytic activity at a concentration of 500 mg/ml. Our results suggest that oriental medicinal herbs, which are under a mass-production system, have potentialas a safe and novel source of anticoagulants, as well being a thrombin-specific and coagulation factor-specific inhibitor.

This study assessed the influence of genetic type (Embden-Anser anser, EE; Toulouse-Anser anser, TT and F1 cross, ET) for meat characteristics (carcass, meat quality and fatty acid (FA) profiles), of domestic geese "Anser anser domesticus" raised in dehesa as an alternative, organic feeding system. Carcass and breast muscle weight (p<0.01) were greater for the ET group at the same live weight. None of the groups showed differences in the production of fatty liver with this type of feeding. Higher values were found for maximum Warner-Bratzler shear force (between 7.62 and $8.87kg/cm^2$), which implies the improvement of this parameter. High levels of oleic FAs were obtained, especially for the TT group. The polyunsaturated/saturated FA ratio was highest for the ET group (p<0.001), reflecting the optimum nutritional values as a component of a healthy consumer diet.

Objective: The aim of the study was to compare & analyze on the variations of ground reaction force during ascending and descending of bus stair. Method: Simulated wooden stair of bus (raiser: 37.66 cm, width: 109 cm, tread: 29 cm) and GRF system (AMTI-OR-7/ AMTI., USA) was set up within experimental room. Adult female (n=8) performed ascending & descending of simulated bus stair, and variables analyzed consisted of TT (transfer-time), PVF (peak vertical force), LR (loading rate), DR (decay rate), CV (coefficient of variation) and AI (asymmetry index). Sample data from GRF cut off at 1,000 Hz. Results: TT showed shortest variation at phase 1 during descending, but longest variation at phase 1 during ascending of stair. PVF19 (Fz2, 100%) showed large pattern during descending than that of ascending, but rather showed small pattern during ascending of stair in case of PVF2 (Fz4). LR showed larger pattern during descending than that of ascending, but rather during ascending of stair in case of DR. Variation of CV (%) did not show difference between LR and DR, but showed higher possible occurrence of variation during descending of stair. Also AI (%) showed higher index during ascending than that of descending of stair. Conclusion: Because introduction of lowered bus stair has various realistic problems, if lined up at designated bus stopage exactly, rather can solve problems of inconvenience, reduce impulsive force and secure a stability of COG during ascending & descending of stair.

영어 교육용 소프트웨어는 다양한 기법을 적용하여 개발, 활용되고 있으며 영어 능력을 중요시하는 현재의 시대상을 반영하듯 학교, 학원, 직장 외에 개인 PC를 이용해 시간과 장소의 제약 없이 쉽고, 재미있게 영어 공부를 돕는데 목적이 두고 지속적으로 개발되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 영어 교육의 중요성을 높게 판단하여 영어 단어를 중점적으로 학습하는데 목표를 둔 시스템을 구현하였다. 즉, TTS를 활용하여 음성적 교육 방식을 적용하였으며 영어 단어 학습 과정과 문제 풀이 과정으로 분류하여 영어 공부에 대한 흥미를 유발시키는 시스템을 설계하였으며 개인 계정을 통한 학습 과정 진도를 저장 및 관리하는 시스템 환경을 구현하였다.

Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) plays a central role in folate metabolism. This study with 381 esophageal cancer patients and 432 healthy controls was conducted to examine the association of MTHFR C677T and A1298C polymorphisms with susceptibility to esophageal cancer (EC) in a Chinese population. Compared with the CC genotype of MTHFR C677T, subjects carrying homozygote TT and variant genotypes (CT+TT) demonstrated reduced risk of EC with adjusted ORs (95% CI) of 0.44 (0.28-0.71) and 0.57 (0.37-0.88), respectively. However, no association was found between the MTHFR A1298C polymorphism and the risk of EC. Comparing to haplotype CA, haplotypes TA and TC could reduce the susceptibility to EC with adjusted ORs (95% CI) of 0.61(0.47-0.79) and 0.06 (0.01-0.43), respectively. In conclusion, the present study suggested that the MTHFR C677T polymorphism can markedly influence the risk of EC in Chinese.

This paper describes playback downlink and telecommand uplink channel design performed for a transportable small-sized KOMPSAT(Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite) ground station. As a result of downlink channel design, required receiving performance was calculated from the threshold signal-to-noise ratio of playback signal and it was revealed that this performance can be guaranteed in 1.5 m ground station with 6.5 dB/K of G/T. For the uplink channel design, 40 dBW of EIRP was derived from the threshold signal-to-noise ratio of telecommand signal received at on-board receiver. The implemented small-sized ground station based on design was evaluated to be fully acceptable for KOMPSAT TT&C(Telemetry, Tracking and Command) system and playback downlink design without taking account of additional 3 dB system link margin was shown to be effective because it had provided constantly initial channel performance without any remarkable degradation over several years of tests with KOMPSAT and KOMPSAT-2, for both uplink and playback downlink in the elevation angle above $10^{\circ}$.

This Paper present about loop impedance measuring method by a comparison & analysis of the earthing systems in IEC60364. And comparing analysis about only considering a resistance and considering resistance & inductance. Result, For measuring of loop impedance than must measured resistance and reactance. And TT earthing system was lower fault current then TN systems, but an electric shock was higher then TN systems.

In this paper, we consider numerical solution of a H-J-B (Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman) equation of elliptic type arising from the stochastic control problem. For the numerical solution of the equation, we take an approach involving contraction mapping and finite difference approximation. We choose the It(equation omitted) type stochastic differential equation as the dynamic system concerned. The numerical method of solution is validated computationally by using the constructed test case. Map of optimal controls is obtained through the numerical solution process of the equation. We also show how the method applies by taking a simple example of nonlinear spacecraft control.

In construction sites, portable generators and electrical equipments cause frequently electrical accidents due to the poor condition of their usage. However, there are very few technical guidelines on these equipments even though they have serious accident causing potentiality. In order to reduce such accidents in practical and economical, grounding methods are studied in this paper as the countermeasure of electrical accidents. Several Korean national standards and international standards regarding three grounding types are compared each other, and some prevention means of electrical accidents are reviewed in this study. This paper presents the most effective grounding methods by assuming the WCS with the isolated power systems.

This thesis describes the development of a service system for small-sized shops which support not only music broadcasting, but editing and generating voice announcement using the TTS(Text-To-Speech) technology. The system has been developed based on web environments with an easy access whenever and wherever it is needed. The system is able to control the sound using silverlight media player based on the ASP .NET 2.0 technology without any additional application software. Use of the Ajax control allows for multiple users to get the maximum load when needed. TTS is built in the server side so that the service can be provided without user's computer. Due to convenience and usefulness of the system, the business sector can provide better service to many shops. Further additional functions such as statistical analysis will undoubtedly help shop management provide desirable services.
