Augustin und die Rhetorik (아우구스티누스와 수사학)

  • Augustin wurde sozusagen von der Rhetorik zum Christentum bekehrt. Der einstmalige Rhetorikprofessor (bis 386) distanziert sich von seiner $fr{\ddot{u}}heren$ Kunst. Aber er $kn{\ddot{u}}pft$ als Bischof im vierten Buch seiner weniger bekannten Schrift "De doctrina Christiana" (DDC; abgef. 427) wieder an die antike Rhetorik, speziell an Cicero, an. So wird die augustinische $Sp{\ddot{a}}tschrift$ $f{\ddot{u}}r$ eine antike Rhetorik in christlicher Verwendung gehalten. Es stellt nun die Frage, was Augustin zur $R{\ddot{u}}ckkehr$ zu seiner $fr{\ddot{u}}heren$ Kunst bewegte. Neuere Forschungen sehen in Augustins Werk eine Grundlage der mittelalterlichen Predigttheorie oder einen $blo{\ss}en$ Versuch, die Rhetorik vom Makel des Sophistischen zu befreien. Gewiss ist seine Einstellung zur "leeren Beredsamkeit" der Sophistik eindeutig, aber dies war eine Haltung, die letztlich von allen seinen christlichen Zeitgenossen geteilt wurde und folglich eines geringen Beweises bedurfte. Die Aufmerksamkeit, die Augustins $sp{\ddot{a}}terem$ Einfluss und seiner Ablehnung der Zweiten Sophistik geschenkt wird, kann den Blick $tr{\ddot{u}}ben$ $f{\ddot{u}}r$ seine Rolle bei der $L{\ddot{o}}sung$ eines christlichen Dilemmas aus dem vierten Jahrhundert. Augustin sah die Gefahren einer entgegengesetzten rhetorischen $H{\ddot{a}}resie$. Die $S{\ddot{u}}nde$ des Sophisten besteht darin, dass er die Notwendigkeit des Inhalts verneint und glaubt, nur die forma alleine sei $w{\ddot{u}}nschenswert$. Der gegenteilige Fehler, dem Geschichtsschreiber der Rhetorik niemals einen Namen gegeben haben, beruht auf dem Glauben, dass derjenige, der im Besitz der Wahrheit ist, auch ipso facto in der Lage ist, die Wahrheit anderen zu ${\ddot{u}}bermitteln$. Es handelt sich um eine $ausschlie{\ss}liche$ $Abh{\ddot{a}}ngigkeit$ von der materia. Augustin erkannte eine Gefahr und benutzte DDC dazu, eine Verbindung von Inhalt und Form in der christlichen Predigt voranzutreiben. Nur wenn man daher das Buch als einen Teil der $gro{\ss}en$ Debatte des vierten Jahrhunderts ansieht, tritt seine historische Bedeutung klar hervor. Der Leser ist beeindruckt davon, dass der Autor darauf insistiert, es sei eine Torheit, dem Feind ein $n{\ddot{u}}tzliches$ Instrument zu ${\ddot{u}}berlassen$. Augustin $erkl{\ddot{a}}rt$, dass die Kunst der Beredsamkeit rege in Gebrauch genommen und nicht kurzerhand abgelehnt werden solle, weil sie mit dem Makel des Heidentums behaftet sei. Kurz gesagt, geplant ist das vierte Buch von DDC als eine ratio eloquentiae Christianae.

  • Les avis des philosophes sur la mort sont $diff{\acute{e}}rentes$ selon leurs visions du monde. Certains essaient de surmonter la peur sur la mort, en $n{\acute{e}}gligeant$ la mort, et certains essaient de vivre le vraie vie par la $m{\acute{e}}ditation$ de la mort. Chez Kierkegaard la notion de la mort se $pr{\acute{e}}sente$ comme key-world $tr{\grave{e}}s$ important, et cela signifie qu'il parle par la mort une vie $s{\acute{e}}rieuse$ et vraie. Pour Kierkegaard la mort signifie d'abord la mort de la vie mondaine ou la $n{\acute{e}}gation$ de soi, cela est en faveur de sa conception de la nature humaine $o{\grave{u}}$ l'homme est fondamentalement un ${\hat{e}}tre$ $probl{\grave{e}}matique$ et ${\grave{a}}$ la fois ceuli qui a un rapport avec $l^{\prime}{\acute{e}}ternel$. Le $d{\acute{e}}sespoir$ de l'homme sur la vie $pr{\acute{e}}sente$ peut devenir 'la maladie qui entraîne la mort' c'est-${\grave{a}}$-dire la mort spirituelle, mais il peut donner aussi une chemin par laquelle l'homme se dirige en tant qu'individu vers l'Absolu. Chez lui ${\hat{e}}tre$ $s{\acute{e}}rieux$ signifie devenir existentiellement par la $n{\acute{e}}gation$ de soi. Et l'absence de la $sinc{\acute{e}}rit{\acute{e}}$ signifie l'absence de soi en tnat $qu^{\prime}{\hat{e}}tre$ spirituel. Ainsi la $pens{\acute{e}}e$ $s{\acute{e}}rieuse$ sur la mort $n^{\prime}{\acute{e}}tant$ autre chose que de penser la mort comme la partie de $l^{\prime}{\hat{e}}tre$ $pr{\acute{e}}sent$, elle devient la source ${\acute{e}}nergique$ qui permet de vivre pleinement le $pr{\acute{e}}sent$ comme $r{\acute{e}}alit{\acute{e}}$ $li{\acute{e}}$ ${\acute{a}}$ $l^{\prime}{\acute{e}}ternit{\acute{e}}$. Sa $pens{\acute{e}}e$ $s{\acute{e}}rieuse$ sur la mort permet d'avoir une conviction religieuse par laquelle l'homme peut penser la mort corporelle comme aventure $li{\acute{e}}e$ ${\grave{a}}$ $l^{\prime}{\acute{e}}ternit{\acute{e}}$ et par laquelle l'homme peut penser aussi la vie $apr{\grave{e}}s$ la mort comme vraie vie que les justes avaient $d{\acute{e}}sir{\acute{e}}s$. Cette $pens{\acute{e}}e$ de Kierkegaard sur la mort signifie le sens $m{\acute{e}}taphysique$ sur la mort au sens $o{\grave{u}}$ elle est une $r{\acute{e}}alit{\acute{e}}$ $v{\acute{e}}cue$, et aussi la $pens{\acute{e}}e$ qui ${\acute{e}}claircit$ la sagesse des philosophes antiques ${\grave{a}}$ la perspective $chr{\acute{e}}tienne$ qui dit philosopher, c'est apprendre ${\grave{a}}$ mourir.

  • Pour Kierkegaard la condition de l'homme naturel est tragique. $D^{\prime}{\hat{e}}tre$ $s^{\prime}{\acute{e}}veiller$, ${\hat{e}}tre$ ignorant et $d{\acute{e}}nier$ sur son vrai ${\hat{e}}tre$, tous causent le $d{\acute{e}}sespoir$. En plus l'homme ne peut avoir une conviction sur son bonheur $jusqu^{\prime}{\grave{a}}$ la mort. Donc sa $th{\acute{e}}orie$ du bonheur ne se base pas sur le bonheur. Tous le monde vit dans une situation $o{\grave{u}}$ il y a une distance entre $l^{\prime}{\hat{e}}tre$ $pr{\acute{e}}sent$ et son vrai ${\hat{e}}tre$. La vie ${\grave{a}}$ la perspective ${\acute{e}}thique$ s'apparaît comme se diriger vers son vrai ${\hat{e}}tre$ et ceci signifie $d^{\prime}{\acute{e}}tablir$ son ${\hat{e}}tre$ $int{\acute{e}}rieur$ en s'echappant la vie $esth{\acute{e}}tique$ qui est la vie sensitive et directe, et aussi faire s'identifier son ${\hat{e}}tre$ $ext{\acute{e}}rieur$ ${\grave{a}}$ son ${\hat{e}}tre$ $int{\acute{e}}rieur$. Le $p{\acute{e}}ch{\acute{e}}$ signifie la $s{\acute{e}}paration$ de son vrai ${\hat{e}}tre$, cela est la source de tout mal. L'obtention parfait de $l^{\prime}{\hat{e}}tre-soi$ exisge ${\hat{e}}tre$ en $pr{\acute{e}}sence$ devant l'Asolu(Dieu) en tant qu'individu unique, et s'accorder avec l'Absolu. Mais du fiat $m{\hat{e}}me$ que ceci est impossible pour tous, tout le monde ne peut vivre qu'ayant un peu de $p{\acute{e}}ch{\acute{e}}$. Donc l'aspect de la vie ${\acute{e}}thique$ s'apparaît une vie dynamique qui $d{\acute{e}}passe$ $soi-m{\hat{e}}me$ sans cesse. En contradiction qu'avec l'analyse sur $l^{\prime}{\hat{e}}tre$ $pr{\acute{e}}sent$ qui est si tragique, la vertu de cette vie ${\acute{e}}thique$ est si optimiste. Elle est l'amour. Cet amour est $tr{\acute{e}}s$ excellent qui $d{\acute{e}}passe$ toute la vertu ${\acute{e}}thique$. En $v{\acute{e}}rit{\acute{e}}$ pour Kierkegaard, bien que le salut $lui-m{\hat{e}}me$ sera donner par la foi, le principe de cet amour est l'unique vertu qui ammene l'homme vers la foi et vers le salut. C'est pourquoi son ${\acute{e}}thique$ est essentiellement s'apparaît 'une ${\acute{e}}thique$ de l'amour', et la recherche sur cet amour, son principe et son aspect reste comme uneque $t{\hat{a}}che$ de $l^{\prime}{\acute{e}}thique$.

  • Haiami is a new Japonica rice variety developed from a cross between 'Jinmibyeo' TR treated with ethyl methane sulfonate (EMS) EMS and 5-methytryptophan, and 'Gyehwabyeo' in order to develop a new premium quality rice variety by a rice breeding team of National Institute of Crop Science, Rural Development Administration in 2008. This variety has about 138 days of growth duration from transplanting to harvesting in central plain area of Korea. The heading date of this vareity was on $15^{th}$, August. The 'Haiami' has good semi-elect plant type and resistant to lodging with strong culm. The number of panicles/hill of 'Haiami' is more than that of 'Hwaseongbyeo'. This variety shows slow leaf senescence and considerable tolerance to viviparous germination. It is susceptible to leaf blast, bacterial blight, and insect pests, but resistance to rice stripe virus. The milled rice of this variety exhibited translucent, clear non-glutinous endosperm and short grain shape. The essential amino acid properties of 'Haiami' have more than 31% that of 'Hwaseongbyeo' in polished rice. This variety has premium palatability of cooked rice. The yield performance of this rice cultivar was about 5.38 MT/ha in milled rice in local adaptability test for three years from 2006 to 2008. 'Haiami' is adaptable to central and southern plain areas of Korea.

  • Boundary line method was adopted to analyze the relationships between rice yield and meteorological conditions during rice growing period. Boundary lines of yield responses to mean temperature($T_a$) and sunshine hour( $S_{h}$) and diurnal temperature range($T_r$) were well-fitted to hyperbolic functions of f($T_a$) =$$\beta$_{0t}$(1-EXP(-$$\beta$_{1t}$ $\times$ ($T_a$) ) and f( $S_{h}$)=$$\beta$_{0t}$((1-EXP($$\beta$_{1t}$$\times$ $S_{h}$)), to quadratic function of f($T_r$) =$\beta$$_{0r}$(1-($T_r$ 1r)$^2$), respectively. to take into account to, the sterility caused by low temperature during reproductive stage, cooling degree days [$T_c$ =$\Sigma$(20-$T_a$] for 30 days before heading were calculated. Boundary lines of yield responses to $T_c$ were fitted well to exponential function of f($T_c$) )=$\beta$$_{0c}$exp(-$$\beta$_{1c}$$\times$$T_c$ ). Excluding the constants of $\beta$$_{0s}$ from the boundary line functions, formed are the relative function values in the range of 0 to 1. And these were used as yield indices of the meteorological elements which indicate the degree of influence on rice yield. Assuming that the meteorological elements act multiplicatively and independently from each other, meteorological yield index (MIY) was calculated by the geometric mean of indices for each meteorological elements. MIY in each growth period showed good linear relationship with rice yield. The MIY's during 31 to 45 days after transplanting(DAT) in vegetative stage, during 30 to 16 days before heading (DBH) in reproductive stage and during 20 days after heading (DAH) in ripening stage showed greater explainablity for yield variation in each growth stage. MIY for the whole growth period was calculated by the following three methods of geometric mean of the indices for vegetative stage (MIVG), reproductive stage (HIRG) and ripening stage (HIRS). MI $Y_{I}$ was calculated by the geometric mean of meteorological indices showing the highest determination coefficient n each growth stage of rice. That is, (equation omitted) was calculated by the geometric mean of all the MIY's for all the growth periods devided into 15 to 20 days intervals from transplanting to 40 DAH. MI $Y_{III}$ was calculated by the geometric mean of MIY's for 45 days of vegetative stage (MIV $G_{0-45}$ ), 30 days of reproductive stage (MIR $G_{30-0}$) and 40 days of ripening stage (MIR $S_{0-40}$). MI $Y_{I}$, MI $Y_{II}$ and MI $Y_{III}$ showed good linear relationships with grain yield, the coefficients of determination being 0.651, 0.670 and 0.613, respectively.and 0.613, respectively.

20 Years Surgical Experiences for Ebstein's Anomaly (엡스타인 기형의 20년 수술 치험)

  • Background: We retrospectively evaluated the clinical results of surgically managing patients with Ebstein's anomaly. Material and Method: Between Feb. f 984 and June 2006, 50 patients who underwent surgical treatment for Ebstein's anomaly at Yonsei Cardiovascular Center were retrospectively reviewed. The mean age of the patients was 26.9 years and 19 patients were male, Associated anomalies included atrial septal defect (33), patent ductus arteriosus (2), ventricular septal defect (1), and pulmonary stenosis (4), and 90%, (45/50) of the patients had more than a moderate degree of tricuspid regurgitation. Carpentier type A was present in 6 patients, type B in 26, type C in 14 and type D in 4. Ten patients were associated with WPW syndrome. Conservative surgery was possible in 31 patients (tricuspid annuloplasty, plication of the atrialized RV), Fontan's operation was peformed in 4 patients, tricuspid valve replacement was done in 12 and palliative surgery was done in 2 patients. Thirteen patients were associated with hi-directional cavopulmonary shunt (BCPS: one and a half ventricular repairs): 10 patients with WPW syndrome and 4 patients with atrial fibrillation underwent concomitant ablation. Result: The postoperative median NYHA functional class $(3{\rightarrow}1)$ and the mean cardio-thoracic ratio $(0.65{\rightarrow}0.59)$ were decreased significantly (p<0.001, p=0.014). The mean oxygen saturation $(86.6{\rightarrow}94.1%)$, and median TR grade $(4{\rightarrow}1)$ were also significantly improved (p=0.004, p<0.001). For comparison of BCPS and conservative surgery, the preoperative right ventricular pressure (33.0 vs. 41.3 mmHg), the ICU stay (2.80 vs. 1.89 days), the hospital say (10.6 vs. 16.8 days), and the left ventricular ejection fraction (64.3 vs. 72.8%) were statistically different. Postoperative mortality occurred in 3 patients (6%) due to biventricular failure in 2 patients and sepsis in the other patient. The mean follow up duration was 101.5 months, and one patient died of Fontan failure and 6 patients required reoperation (bioprosthetic degenerative change (2) and Fontan conversion (4)). The overall survival rate at 10 years was 90.2%, the freedom from reoperation rate and rate of cardiac related events were 78.9% and 49.2%, respectively. Conclusion: Surgical management of Ebstein's anomaly can be performed safely, and the associated BCPS may be helpful for high-risk patients. Adequate application of surgical management may increase the long-term survival with a reduced rate of reoperation.

Beaucoup parlent de musical, mais beaucoup de musicals sont $mont{\acute{e}}s$ sur la $sc{\grave{e}}ne$ sans des recherches $n{\acute{e}}cessaires$ suffisantes. C'est pour cette raison que la plupart des spectacles musicaux qui sont $cr{\acute{e}}es$ en $Cor{\acute{e}}e$ sont $destin{\acute{e}}s$ en faillite $d{\grave{e}}s$ la naissance. D'ailleurs les musicals $liscenci{\acute{e}}s$ par $l^{\prime}Am{\acute{e}}rique$, la France qui sont $mont{\acute{e}}s$ sur la $sc{\grave{e}}ne$ de $Cor{\acute{e}}e$ aujourd'hui sont assez pour nuire le $march{\acute{e}}$ $cor{\acute{e}}en$ $constitu{\acute{e}}$ autour de musical. Quels sont donc les $probl{\grave{e}}mes$ que posent les musicals $liscenci{\acute{e}}s$? $Premi{\grave{e}}rement$ ils encouragent la mime, pas la $cr{\acute{e}}ation$. En d'autre terme, les musicals $liscenci{\acute{e}}s$ que les $Cor{\acute{e}}ens$ montent sur la $sc{\grave{e}}ne$ ne sont pas les $cr{\acute{e}}ations$ propres chez les $Cor{\acute{e}}ens$, par contre, ces derniers sont $demand{\acute{e}}s$ de suivre ${\grave{a}}$ la mot les indications $dict{\acute{e}}es$ par le droit d'auteur. Les $cr{\acute{e}}ateurs$ $cor{\acute{e}}ens$ ne sont pas libres de $cr{\acute{e}}ation$. $Deuxi{\grave{e}}mement$ les musicals ${\grave{a}}$ la mode ont pouvoir de $d{\acute{e}}truire$ la $diversit{\acute{e}}$ de l'homme. L'homme se $caract{\grave{e}}rise$ par la $diversit{\acute{e}}$ et se $diff{\grave{e}}re$ l'un par rapport ${\grave{a}}$ l'autre. C'est l'essence de l'homme. Tous sont $diff{\acute{e}}rents$. Pourtant le musical qui $r{\grave{e}}gne$ sur tous genres de spectacles d'aujourd'hui de $Cor{\acute{e}}e$ ne laisse pas vivre d'autres genres de spectacles, la danse, le $th{\acute{e}}{\hat{a}}tre$, etc. Seul le musical est $compt{\acute{e}}$. $Troisi{\grave{e}}mement$ le musical ne peut pas nier $compl{\grave{e}}tement$ son origine commerciale. En fait le musical est devenu une chose important depuis des investigations immenses par le gouvernement $d^{\prime}Am{\acute{e}}rique$ pour donner des travails aux gens. Donc, $d{\grave{e}}s$ le $d{\acute{e}}but$, il n'y avait pas de $consid{\acute{e}}rations$ artistiques dans et sur le musical. Comme c'est par le commerce que le musical est $r{\acute{e}}pandu$, s'il y aura un $probl{\grave{e}}me$ quelconque, il est $tr{\grave{e}}s$ possible qu'on cherche ${\grave{a}}$ $r{\acute{e}}soudre$ le $probl{\grave{e}}me$ par la vue de commerce. En comprenant les $probl{\grave{e}}mes$ $mentionn{\acute{e}}s$ $l{\grave{a}}$-dessus, il faut $pr{\acute{e}}parer$ le changement de $march{\acute{e}}$ $cor{\acute{e}}enne$ de musical. Le moyen le plus $su{\hat{r}}$ de se $pr{\acute{e}}parer$ est de trouver la $r{\acute{e}}solution$ dans la culture. Pourtant cette $derni{\grave{e}}re$ ne signifie pas la tradition comme $c^{\prime}{\acute{e}}tait$ le cas $jusqu^{\prime}{\grave{a}}$ aujourd'hui, car les $Cor{\acute{e}}ens$ ne sont pas ${\acute{e}}duqu{\acute{e}}s$ par cette $derni{\grave{e}}re$. La $modernit{\acute{e}}$, disons occidentale, traverse la $Cor{\acute{e}}e$. Donc, la signification du mot 'culture' doit ${\hat{e}}tre$ $bas{\acute{e}}e$ sur la tradition et la $modernit{\acute{e}}$ en $m{\hat{e}}me$ temps.

The Patterns of Change in Arterial Oxygen Saturation and Heart Rate and Their Related Factors during Voluntary Breath holding and Rebreathing (자발적 호흡정지 및 재개시 동맥혈 산소포화도와 심박수의 변동양상과 이에 영향을 미치는 인자)

  • Background : In sleep apnea syndrome, arterial oxygen saturation($SaO_2$) decreases at a variable rate and to a variable degree for a given apneic period from patient to patient, and various kinds of cardiac arrythmia are known to occur. Factors supposed to affect arterial oxygen desaturation during apnea are duration of apnea, lung voulume at which apnea occurs, and oxygen consumption rate of the subject. The lung serves as preferential oxygen source during apnea, and there have been many reports related with the influence of lung volume on $SaO_2$ during apnea, but there are few, if any, studies about the influence of oxygen consumption rate of an individual on $SaO_2$ during breath holding or about the profile of arterial oxygen resaturation after breathing resumed. Methods : To investigate the changes of $SaO_2$ and heart rate(HR) during breath holding(BH) and rebreathing(RB) and to evaluate the physiologic factors responsible for the changes, lung volume measurements, and arterial blood gas analyses were performed in 17 healthy subjects. Nasal airflow by thermistor, $SaO_2$ by pulse oxymeter and ECG tracing were recorded on Polygraph(TA 4000, Gould, U.S.A.) during voluntary BH & RB at total lung capacity(TLC), at functional residual capacity(FRC) and at residual volume(RV), respectively, for the study subjects. Each subject's basal metabolic rate(BMR) was assumed on Harris-Benedict equation. Results: The time needed for $SaO_2$ to drop 2% from the basal level during breath holding(T2%) were $70.1{\pm}14.2$ sec(mean${\pm}$standard deviation) at TLC, $44.0{\pm}11.6$ sec at FRC, and $33.2{\pm}11.1$ sec at RV(TLC vs. FRC, p<0.05; FRC vs. RV, p<0.05). On rebreathing after $SaO_2$ decreased 2%, further decrement in $SaO_2$ was observed and it was significantly greater at RV($4.3{\pm}2.1%$) than at TLC($1.4{\pm}1.0%$)(p<0.05) or at FRC($1.9{\pm}1.4%$)(p<0.05). The time required for $SaO_2$ to return to the basal level after RB(Tr) at TLC was not significantly different from those at FRC or at RV. T2% had no significant correlation either with lung volumes or with BMR respectively. On the other hand, T2% had significant correlation with TLC/BMR(r=0.693, p<0.01) and FRC/BMR (r=0.615, p<0.025) but not with RV/BMR(r=0.227, p>0.05). The differences between maximal and minimal HR(${\Delta}HR$) during the BH-RB manuever were $27.5{\pm}9.2/min$ at TLC, $26.4{\pm}14.0/min$ at RV, and $19.1{\pm}6.0/min$ at FRC which was significantly smaller than those at TLC(p<0.05) or at RV(p<0.05). The mean difference of 5 p-p intervals before and after RB were $0.8{\pm}0.10$ sec and $0.72{\pm}0.09$ sec at TLC(p<0.001), $0.82{\pm}0.11$ sec and $0.73{\pm}0.09$ sec at FRC(p<0.025), and $0.77{\pm}0.09$ sec and $0.72{\pm}0.09$ sec at RV(p<0.05). Conclusion Healthy subjects showed arterial desaturation of various rates and extent during breath holding at different lung volumes. When breath held at lung volume greater than FRC, the rate of arterial desaturation significantly correlated with lung volume/basal metabolic rate, but when breath held at RV, the rate of arterial desaturation did not correlate linearly with RV/BMR. Sinus arrythmias occurred during breath holding and rebreathing manuever irrespective of the size of the lung volume at which breath holding started, and the amount of change was smallest when breath held at FRC and the change in vagal tone induced by alteration in respiratory movement might be the major responsible factor for the sinus arrythmia.
