Large and Small Deformation Studies of Ohmic and Water-Bath Heated Surimi Gel by TPA and Creep Test

  • Interrelationship between results of large deformation (texture profile analysis, TPA) test and small deformation (creep) test on ohmic heated surimi gel, water-bath heated surimi gel, and commercial fish gel products (kamabokos) was examined. Creep test revealed ohmic heated gels have higher elastic modulus and viscosity values than water-bath heated ones, with differences of elastic modulus and viscosity between ohmic and water-bath heated gels being 18 and 28.5%, respectively. These differences were reflected in the higher hardness, cohesiveness, and chewiness values of ohmic heated gels in TPA. In TPA test, the differences of hardness and chewiness between ohmic heated gel and water-bath heated gel were 29.3 and 38.7%, respectively. It was concluded that with proper experimental design, the small deformation creep test which gives molecular level deformation data can be related to the large deformation TPA test indicating the sensory textural properties.

압착실험조건이 어육연제품의 조직감 면모분석에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Compression Test Conditions on Texture Profile Analysis of Surimi-based Products)

  • 세 가지 시판 어육연제품에 대한 TPA 매개변수들이 여러 압착조건들에 의해 평가되었다. 지름(D)과 높이 (L)의 비율(D/L)이 1, 1.5, 2인 시료가 1.7. 3.3, 6.7 cm/min의 속도로 50%, 65%, 80% 압착되었다. TPA 매개변수인 경도, 응집력, 탄력성, 껌성. 씹힘성이 얻어졌으며 통계분석에 의해 비교 분석되었다. TPA 매개변수는 시료의 단면적으로 나눔으로써 수정되었다. 본 실험결과 TPA 매개변수들은 세 가지에 형태의 어묵 모두에서 D/L과 압착율에 의해 크게 영향을 받으므로 시료의 크기, 변형의 정도 그리고 변형속도 등의 압착 실험조건이 시료간에 크게 차이가 나면 각 시료들의 TPA 매개변수들은 서로 비교될 수 없음을 보여 주었으며, 어육연제품에 대한 TPA 최적 실험 조건들은 D/L = 1.5, 압착율 = 80%, 압착속도 = 1.7-6.7 cm/min로 나타났다.

대체 외부탄소원으로서의 TPA 생산부산물 특성 및 현장적용성 평가 (Assessment of Characteristics and Field Applicability with TPA By-Product as Alternative External Carbon Source)

  • B시 S하수처리장에서 화학침전 공정에서 MLE 공정으로 공법을 변경하였으며, 생물학적으로 탈질시 부족한 탄소원을 보충하기 위해 외부탄소원이 요구되었다. 본 연구에서는 약 4.7%의 아세트산을 포함하는 TPA(Terephthalic Acid) 생산부산물의 대체탄소원으로 적용 가능성을 평가하기 위해 NUR(Nitrate Uptake Rate) 및 OUR(Oxygen Uptake Rate) 실험과 현장 적용실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 TPA 생산 부산물은 일반 상용 외부탄소원으로 널리 쓰이는 메탄올보다 빠른 순응특성을 나타내었고 비탈질율이 $8.24mg{NO_3}^--N/gVSS/hr$, 단위 질산성 질소 제거당 COD 소모비는 $3.70COD_{Cr}/g\;NO_3$, RBDCOD 함량 99.4%로 나타났다. S하수처리장에 대한 TPA 생산부산물 현장 적용 실험을 통해 안정적인 영양염류 제거효율을 나타내었으며 방류수 T-N 농도가 8.2 mg/L로 생물학적 탈질에 요구되는 탄소원을 보충할 수 있는 대체탄소원으로 적합하다고 판단되었다.

흰쥐의 척수에서 Glutamate가 매개하는 Nociceptive Response에 있어서 Protein kinase C의 관련성 (The Involvement of Protein kinase C in Glutamate-Mediated Nociceptive Response at the Spinal Cord of Rats)

  • When glutamate was infected intrathecally, the result is similar to those produced by TPA injected. The involvement of protein kinase C (PKC) in the nociceptive responses in rat dorsal horn neurons of lumbar spinal cord was studied. In test with formalin, a PKC inhibitor (chelerythrine) inhibited dose-dependently the formalin-induced behavior response. Neomycin also inhibited it significantly. But, a PKC activator (12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-ester, TPA) showed reverse effect. When gluatamate was injected intrathecally, we observed the result is smilar to those produced by TPA injection. On the other hand, intrathecal injection of glutamate induced thermal and mechanical hyperalgesia. In Tail-flick test, we examined the involvement of PKC on the glutamate-indeced thermal hyperalgesia. Chelerythrine showed an inhibitory effect and TPA enhanced thermal response. Glutamate decreased the mechanical threshold significantly. A pretreatment of chelerythrine and neomycin inhibited glutamate-induced mechanical hyperalgesia, but the effect of neomycin was not significant. TPA had little effect on the mechanical nociceptive response. These results suggest that the PKC activation through metabotropic receptor at postsynaptic region of spinal cord dorsal horn neurons may influence on the persistent nociception produced by chemical stimulation with formalin, thermal and mechanical hyperalgesia induced by glutamate.

Precision TPA로 회전된 편측 구치 치료시 공간변화에 대한 연구 (Spatial changes of the maxillary molar following unilateral derotation with the precision TPA)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 치아의 이동양상을 관찰하기 위해 고안된 Calorific machine system(typodont simulation system)과 precision TPA를 이용하여, 근심 회전된 (mesial-in rotation) 상악 대구치를 회전 (derotation)시킨 후 해당 치아 및 반대측 고정 원의 공간변화를 확인하기 위함이다. 우측 상악 제 1대구치를 고정원으로 사용하였고 좌측 상악 제 1대구치를 근심 회전된 치아로 사용하였으며, TPA에 부여한 회전각은 $20^{\circ},\;40^{\circ},\;60^{\circ}$였다. 먼저 수동형의 precision TPA를 제작한 후, TPA의 왼쪽 삽입부위(tag)를 각각 $20^{\circ},\;40^{\circ},\;60^{\circ}$로 구부려 실험하였다. 각 군별 실험은 동일한 조건에서 5회 반복한 후 ANOVA와 Tucky's Studentized Range (HSD) test로 검정 하였다. 실험 결과, 교합면에서는 precision TPA의 구부리는 각도가 증가할수록 회전된 구치의 원심 설측 교두가 근심 설측 방향으로 움직이는 동안, 근심 협측 교두는 협측으로 더 많이 움직였고(p<0.001) 원심방향으로는 더 적게 움직였다. (p<0.001) 시상면에서 회전 구치의 구개측 치근은 더욱 근심으로 움직였다. (p<0.001) 횡단면에서는 회전된 치아가 약간의 정출을 보였다(p<0.001). 고정원으로 사용된 우측 상악 제1대구치는 세 평면에서 의미 있는 변화를 보이지 않았다.

쌀밥의 조직감에 대한 기기적 측정값과 관능적 측정값의 상관관계 연구 (Correlation between Instrumental Parameter and Sensory Parameter in the Texture of Cooked Rice)

  • This study aimed to find the optimum instrumental test conditions for the Texture Profile Analysis (TPA) of cooked rice in order to predict the sensory texture attributes (hardness, adhesiveness, chewiness). Sensory evaluation was performed for three kinds of instant cooked rice with university students in their twenties and the results of the sensory evaluation were compared to instrumental TPA patterns. Using partial least squares regression, the instrumental TPA results at a cross-head speed of 1.0 mm/sec and a compression ratio of 70% proved to be an excellent predictor of the sensory attributes of hardness ($R^2=0.99$) and chewiness ($R^2=0.99$). The results at a cross-head speed of 0.5 mm/sec and compression ratio of 30% provided an excellent model for the prediction of sensory adhesiveness ($R^2=0.83$). In this experimental range, sensory hardness and chewiness showed a high correlation with instrumental TPA parameters (hardness, cohesiveness, adhesiveness, springiness, chewiness) with a high cross-head speed and compression ratio, while sensory adhesiveness showed a high correlation with the TPA parameters with a low cross-head speed and compression ratio.

  • This paper presents an investigation into driveline clonk noise of midi-bus. Test was performed for operational acceleration and pressure, torsional vibration of driveline and FRF to TPA. Wavelet analysis was used to study spectral-time characteristics to all measurement data and specially for torsional vibration, lash analysis was carried out. To investigate the path of the clonk in detail, time domain TPA was introduced. With time domain TPA, the contribution of each path for the clonk was estimated by both subjectively and objectively. As a result, Transmission mount part was came to light as the main contributor of issued clonk. This was verified by reinforcing the bracket of transmission side. And 1D torsional nvh performance simulation model was built with measured torsional vibration. The simulation tool was used for prediction of some clonk behavior in tip in-out transient condition.

Application of Tumor Markers SCC-Ag, CEA, and TPA in Patients with Cervical Precancerous Lesions

  • Background: To determine the potential clinical utility of tumor markers CEA, TPA, and SCC-Ag for early detection of cervical precancerous lesions. Materials and Methods: A case-control study was carried out on 120 women (46 patients with histologically confirmed cervical precancerous lesions and 74 healthy controls). The significance of serum selected tumor markers in early detection of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) were assessed. Results: Of the case group, the rates of CIN I, II, III, was 69.6%, 23.9%, and 6.5%, respectively. According to the manufacturer's cut-off values of 2ng/ml, 5ng/ml, and 70 U/ml for SCC-Ag, CEA and TPA tests, in that order, SCC-Ag test had a sensitivity of 13%, but CEA and TPA tests could not distinguish between case and control groups. The diagnostic sensitivities were highest at cut-off values of 0.55 ng/ml for SCC-Ag, 2.6ng/ml for CEA, and 25.5 U/ml for TPA which were 93%, 61%, and 50%, respectively. However, the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was the largest for SCC-Ag (0.95 vs. 0.61 and 0.60 for CEA and TPA, respectively). Moreover, there was a highly significant direct correlation between SCC-Ag concentration and the degree of cervical precancerous lesions (r=0.847, p<0.001). Conclusions: The new cutoff of 0.5 for SCC-Ag test might be useful as a tumor marker in Iranian patients with CIN and it needs to be more evaluated by studies with larger populationa.

공압식 능동형 엔진마운트 시스템의 TPA 출력변수간의 상관관계 분석 (Correlation Analysis of TPA Output Variables in a Pneumatic Active Engine Mount System)

  • A PAEM(Pneumatic Active Engine Mount) system has been developed to improve NVH performance of a SUV in idle state. Control objective to attenuate the vibration of a vehicle should be determined prior to the design of control algorithm. This study presents the correlation analysis of output variables of PAEM system by means of TPA(Transfer Path Analysis) using experimental data obtained by vehicle test. The analysis results show that the vibration of vertical direction is more serious than those of longitudinal and lateral direction of the vehicle, and that the correlation between the vibration of front seat rail and that of steer wheel is highest. In conclusion, the vibrations of front seat rail and steer wheel in vertical direction should be considered as the control objectives of the PAEM.

  • In this paper, the vibrations of floor systems of which buildings are under construction are studied by experimental and analysis method. The first step is to measure the operational response data and FRF at the supporting points of the utility and the second step is to calculate the dynamic load by TPA Method which provided by LMS VirtualLab System Analysis Module. The dynamics we used to identify is expressed by below equation; $$\{F_{oper}\}=[H]^{-1}\;{\cdot}\;\{{.. \atop x_{oper}}\}$$ Where, H(Transfer function between position of the force and response) and x(response) are measured by vibration test.
