DC magnetron Sputtering 법으로 제작한 Ti$_{x}$N 박막의 밀착력에 미치는 코팅조건의 영향 (Effects of coating Condition on Adhesive strength Ti$_{x}$N Films Prepared by the DC Magetron Sputtering Method)

  • Stainless steel is being used widely lor various purposes due to its good corrosion resistance. There has becn much research to produce colored stainless sterl by several methods. In this experiment, we coated TixN film on the SUS304 substrate with thc DC magnetron sputtering system and studied the internal structurc and adhesive strength of the films as a function of the coating conditions. Before lhe specimen was coated, a sputter etching was very effective in removing the$\delta$ Fe(BCC) phase as well as the contaminant and oxide layer as well as increasing rotghness. Five-stage failure mode appeared with increased scratch load with the TIN films coated on the SUS304 in this manner ; tensile failure-,conformal failure-,buckling failure->chipping failurc and spalling Failure. When the failure was terminated at the initial stage, the film will have good adhesion. But, if syalling failure has occurred at the initial scratch, then the adhesion will be poor. The interlayer between thc coated film and thc substratc was homogeneously adhcsive when the $\gamma'-Fe_4N$ phase wasn't detected in the XRD analysis and the adhesive strength only was reduced by surPace defects. But, when the ,$\gamma'-Fe_4N$N phasc was detected in the XRD analysis, the adhesive strength was very poor.

  • 국내 석탄발전소에서 배출되고 있는 비산회의 재활용에 가장 큰 문제점은 비산화에 혼입되어 있는 미연탄소분이다. 본 연구는 기존 포말부유선광법으로 유연탄비산회의 미연탄소분을 제거할 때 기포제종류 및 첨가량의 영향, 포집제 첨가량의 영향을 실험하고, 여기에서 수율, 회수율, 미연분제거율, 공정효율을 구하였다. 또한 비산회정제 전후의 화학적 성분을 분석하여 성분변화를 확인하였다. 실험결과는 유연탄 비산회 중의 미연탄소분을 92.4%까지 제거할 수 있었으며, 그 결과 비산회의 순도를 99.4%까지 높일 수 있었다.

  • 은을 함유한 폐기물로부터 은을 회수하는 일반적인 공정은 은을 질산으로 용해시킨 후 은이온만을 AgCl로 선택적으로 분리, 적당한 환원제를 사용하여 은을 얻는 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 $Na_2$$CO_3$양이 AgCl의 Ag로의 환원율에 미치는 영향에 대하여 통계학적인 기법(다항다중회귀분석 및 반응표면분석)을 사용하여 검토하였으며 반응시간 1시간, 반응온도 $620^{\circ}C$ 그리고 $Na_2$$CO_3$/AgCl의 당량비가 2.0일 때 96% 이상의 환원율을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 전로 분진의 재활용 방안을 모색하기 위해 용선 탈규 처리제로서의 이용가능성을 파악하였다. 분진에 의한 탈규 효과는 투여량의 증가에 따라 향상되었으며, 분진에 CaO의 첨가에 따른 탈규 양상의 변화는 거의 없는 것으로 관찰되었다. 탈규 반응은 대부분의 우에 있어 탈규제의 조성에 관계없이 반응 개시 10분 이내에 집중적으로 일어남을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 또한 전로 분진을 탈규제로 사용함에 있어 용선 내의 Si 이외의 성분들은 Mn. P, C 그리고 S등에 대해서도 분진의 조성에 따른 거동을 조사하였다. 한편, 분진 내의 CaO의 존재는 탈규제에 의한 탈망간 방지, 슬래그 거품 현상의 억제 및 탈진 공정을 위한 탈규 슬래그 제거 측면에서 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

  • 대학 도서관의 대출 업무에 관한 시스템 연구를 수행함에 있어 구조적 분석 기법을 이용하여 현행 대출 업무를 분석하고 새로운 대출 시스템을 설계하였다. 기존 대출 업무 분 석에서는 구조적 개발 도구인 자료 흐름도와 자료 사전, 실체 관계도들을 기용하여 데이터 분석을 시도하였으며 시스템 설계에서는 분석한 데이터 구조를 데이터 표준화 작업을 통해 새 시스템의 논리적, 물리적 데이터 모델을 제시하였다.

동결보존한 마우스 이분집합배의 생존에 관한 연구 (Developmental potential of bisected-aggregated mouse embryos after freezing)

  • Thc chimeric morulae were produced following aggregation of the half embryos which were microsurgically bisected at 8-cell and early morula stage. Different phenotypic embryos were obtained by mating ICR female mice with ICR or CBA male mice. The early morula stage was thc desirable stage for the aggregation of mouse embryos after bisection. The post-thawed survival rates of bisected-aggregated embryos that developed into normal blastocyst after conventional freezing in DMSO and ethylene glycol were 30.5 and 32.896, respectively. One offspring was produced by transferring the 67 frozen-thawed bisected-aggregated embryos.

A Study on Emissions and Catalytic Conversion Efficiency Characteristics of an Electronic Control Engine Using Ethanol Blended Gasoline as Fuels

  • In this paper, the effects of ethanol blended gasoline on emissions and their catalytic conversion efficiency characteristics were investigated in a multiple-point EFI gasoline engine, The results show that with the increase of ethanol concentration in the blended fuels, THC emissions were drastically reduced by up to thirty percent, And brake specific fuel consumption was increased, but brake specific energy consumption could be improved. However, unburned ethanol and acetaldehyde emissions increased. Pt/Rh based three-way catalysts were effective to reduce acetaldehyde emissions, but had low catalytic conversion efficiency for unburned ethanol. The effect of ethanol on CO and NOx emissions and their catalytic conversion efficiency had close relation to the engine's speed, load and air/fuel ratio. Furthermore fuels blended with thirty percent ethanol by volume could dramatically reduced THC CO and NOx emissions at idle speed.

Effects of spawning on immune functions in the surf clam Mactra veneriformis (Bivalvia: Mactridae)

  • The production of surf clam, Mactra veneriformis, an important fishery resource in Korea, has recently been decreasing. This study was carried out to examine effects of spawning on immune functions of this species. Total hemocyte count (THC), phenoloxidase (PO) activity, phagocytic activity, neutral red retention (NRR) time and antibacterial activity were assessed. Spawned clams showed reduction in THC, PO, phagocytic activity and NRR times compared with unspawned ones. While spawning event did not elicit any change of antibacterial activity in both spawned and unspawned ones. This study indicates that spawning process decreases immune functions in the surf clams which could cause mortality increment and yield reduction.

디젤자동차용 산화촉매의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of Diesel Oxidation Catalysts for Diesel Vehicles)

  • Recently, as people pay attention to the environmental pollution, the emissions of diesel engine have been a serious problem. We carried out the performance evaluation test of Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC) for HSDI diesel engine equipped vehicles. The DOC, basically coated with Pt catalyst, was manufactured with various washcoat materials. It was found that CO conversion efficiency depends on temperature, but THC conversion efficiency is dominated by temperature and space velocity. The THC and CO conversion efficiencies of aged catalysts were increased with additions of $ZrO_2$ and zeolite B in the washcoat. We found that DOC performance changes with coating techniques, even through it has same washcoat materials. The DOC coated by high temperature washcoat coating technology showed good conversion efficiency than low temperature washcoat coated DOC.

  • In this study, the performance and emission characteristics of a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) engine converted from a diesel engine were examined by using mixer system and liquid propane injection (LPi) system. A compression ratio of 21 for the base diesel engine, was modified to 8, 8.5, 9 and 9.5. The engine performance and emissions characteristics are analyzed by investigating engine power, brake mean effective pressure (BMEP), brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC), volumetric efficienry, CO, THC and NOx. Experimental results showed that the LPi system generated higher power and lower emissions than the conventional mixer fuel supply method.
