Interference Investigation between WCDMA TDD System and cdma2000 System by Link-level Simulation and System-level Simulation (링크 레벨 시뮬레이션과 시스템 레벨 시뮬레이션에 의한 WCDMA TDD시스템과 cdma2000시스템 간의 상호간섭분석)

  • The capacity of WCDMA TDD system is limited mainly by the interference. So, to achieve the expected performance of WCDMA TDD system and to minimize the interference to cdma2000 system interferences, such as interference within WCDMA TDD system inter-cell interference, and interferences between cdma2000 systems, should be considered carefully. In this paper, by using System-level Simulation, we analyzed the interferences between WCDMA TDD system and cdma2000 system in practical situation based on the exact parameters of 3GPP TR 25.942 and by using System-level Simulation considering Link-level we analyze the interferences between WCDMA TDD system and cdam2000 system. From Simulation Results, we propose the condition for optimizing system capacity considering the interferences between WCDMA TDD system & cdam2000 system

  • TD-CDMA is based on a combination of CDMA, TDMA, and TDD technologies, and it is proposed to support TDD mode for IMT-2000 service. To analyze the performance of TD-CDMA, we have to establish a modeling technique that takes into account the interference that can occur in each scheme. There is special interference in TDD mode, e.g. interference from base station to base station and from mobile to mobile. In this paper, we present an interference model for analyzing the performance of TD-CDMA systems and the slot allocation strategies. This model includes the cell synchronization error. As a result, this paper shows that almost equal slot allocation and low cell synchronization error guarantee desirable performance in TD-CDMA.

  • In this paper, we investigate the capacity of CDMA/TDD in the inner zone of multimode scenario with dual-band operation where high frequency band is used for TDD in the inner zone and lower frequency band is utilized for FDD in the outer zone. The effects of various system parameters such as cell radius, date rate, and time slot allocation are analyzed.

  • The CDMA system with time division duplex mode (CDMA/TDD system) is a highly attractive solution to support the next generation cellular mobile systems providing multimedia services where the traffic unbalance between downlink and uplink exists. In this paper, the capacity of the CDMA/TDD system is analyzed in general multicell environments. For this analysis, the interference for a time slot is analyzed, and a time slot and channel allocation problem is mathematically formulated and solved using simulated annealing technique. Computational experiments provide a promising result.

  • In this paper, we considered the CDMA/TDD system suitable for high-speed packet data transmission such as Internet and multimedia services, and a sequential decoding scheme which enables fast decoding and retransmission requirement. In addition, we Proposed an improved FANO algorithm, which adopts the competition path in order to reduce the number of revisit nodes. The conventional FANO algorithm suffered from the drawback of much more revisit nodes. Furthermore, we analyzed the performance of the CDMA/TDD system with the sequential decoding scheme we proposed over multipath channel.

  • In order to support a cell-independent traffic asymmetry, the conventional TDD system cannot avoid crossed time slot (CTS) interference. Moreover, the TDD/FDD hierarchical overlay cellular systems is taken into account as a generally accepted cell model in a heterogeneous radio environment. In this paper, we propose an interference resolving radio resource allocation technique in a TDD-OFDMA cellular system that overlays a FDD-CDMA cell. In our proposed scheme, we exploit under-used FDD-CDMA uplink resource by TDD mobile abiding by a region based time slot(TS) allocation which in turn mitigates CTS interference considerably. It is demonstrated that combined with under-used resource utilization scheme based on mobile's location, the proposed technique can reduce CTS interference considerably and support the asymmetric traffic in TDD system.

  • 제3세대 이동 통신 시스템에서 상향 링크와 하향 링크 사이에 불균형적인 타임 슬롯 할당이 가능한 TD/CDMA TDD 시스템은 비대칭적인 트래픽을 효과적으로 분배하는데 적합하다. 게다가 TD/CDMA TDD 시스템은 슬롯이 시간 영역과 코드 영역에서 정의되기 때문에 유효 자원의 statistical multiplexing이 매우 효과적이다. 그러나 상향 링크와 하향 링크사이의 트래픽의 비대칭성을 반영하기 위해서 타임 슬롯을 최적으로 할당시킬 수 있는 동적 경계선이 요구된다. 본 논문에서 슬롯의 하향 링크부분이 이동국의 접근 시도의 정도에 따라 최대화되는 새로운 최적의 TDD 경계선 제어 움직임 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘에서 이동국의 평균 접근 시도가 미리 정의된 상한 임계치를 초과할 경우, TDD 경계선은 평균 접근 시도가 다른 하한 임계치 아래로 내려갈 때까지 프레임의 중앙에 위치한다. 본 논문에서 모의실험 결과를 통하여 제안된 알고리즘이 기존의 TDD 경계선 알고리즘보다 데이터 트래픽의 평균 접근 지연과 음성 트래픽의 블록킹 확률 측면에서 훨씬 더 좋은 성능을 나타냄을 입증하였다.

  • Traffic unbalance between uplink and downlink is one of the most notable characteristics in the next generation cellular mobile systems which provide multimedia services such as voice and video telephony, high-speed internet access, and mobile computing, etc. The CDMA/TDD system with unbalanced slot allocation between two links is a good solution for the traffic unbalance in this paper, we formulate the time slot and channel allocation problem for the CDMA/TDD systems in general multicell environments, which is to maximize the system capacity under the given traffic unbalance, and solve that problem by simulated annealing technique. Computational experiments show that the proposed scheme yields a good performance.

  • This paper studies the channel estimation schemes of Time Division Duplex (TDD) Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) system with a parallel interference canceller (PIC) in multi-path fading channels. furthermore, the effective interpolation method which maintains the flexibility of UTRA TDD mode is proposed. By Monte Carlo simulations, it is verified that the proposed interpolation method can be used in order to obtain the proper performance of a multi-stage PIC and in order to reduce the required Eb/No for a given bit error rate (BER).
