  • 인터넷의 급속한 성장으로 현재 통신 네트워크에서는 통신 프로토콜로서 TCP/IP 프로토콜을 주로 사용하고 있다. 그러나 이와는 달리 국내의 TMN(Telecommunication Management Network) 등에서는 ISO(International Organization for Standardization)에서 제안한 OSI(Open System Interconnection) 프로토콜을 통신 프로토콜로서 여전히 사용하고 있다.

  • Demands on dealing with multimedia data through the network have been increased, and networking multimedia devices require processing, transmitting , and receiving the digital data. In order to implement the network for high performance and low cost, we may have to integrate the dedicated hardware into a system on a chip by spending an extra amount of silicon resource. In this paper, we describe hardware implementation of TCP/IP protocol stack which is now popular to connect multiple PCs and peripherals by means of networks. For evaluation we used ALTERA APEX 20K600EBC652 FPGA with 600,000 gates. The operating frequency is estimated 29.9MHz and it used area of $26\%$.

  • KEPRI, the research institute for KEPCO, has started developing a DAS using wireless communication networks since 1999. The wireless networks adopted Radio Link Protocol (RLP) of Personal Communication Service (PCS) as communication protocol. It is the first time that PCS is applied to data networks for DAS. The communication protocol, RLP, makes the DAS networks simple and economically affordable when they are installed at widely dispersed small cities. But, RLP has problem when it send unsolicited message. This paper describes the implementing method of a wireless network using RLP and TCP/IP Network to cope with unsolicited message problem.

  • TCP/IP based remote system using internet presented the method to access and control all the types of resources connected to network system over time and space. In this paper, We studied a resource control method through a mutual communication of a system association composed of service user, provider, and manager of the network system for the web based remote control system. The service users require the resources, and its providers are a variety of devices and digital electronic products which can provide the services in a network system. The service manager who operates the whole system performs the role to interconnect its users with its providers. Through an experiment, an implemented system confirmed flexibility, stability, and extensibility of the method presented in this paper.

  • For performing Intelligent Transport System, I will implement the vehicle recognition system used image as well as Real time transmission module with TCP/IP. Generally, there are two kinds for vehicle recognition technology. Between two methods, the image-based method has a high dependency on environmental condition. Therefore, in this thesis I will propose vehicle recognition algorithm based on image using improved Gradient Method. Also I propose server-client modeling with TCP/IP, for the purpose of real time transmission of processed data and images. So I made the vehicle recognition and real time transmission system with TCP/IP for verification of proposed algorithm.

  • In this paper, TCP/IP based Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication uses CDMA/GSM network for data communication. This communication method is widely used by offshore moored buoy for data transmission back to the system server. Due to weather and signal coverage, the TCP/IP M2M communication often experiences transmission failure and causing data losses in the server. Data losses are undesired especially for meteorological and oceanographic analysis. This paper discusses a software approach to minimize M2M data losses by handling transmission failure and re-attempt which meant to transmit the data for recovery. This implementation was tested for its performance on a meteorological buoy placed offshore.

  • Voice over IP refers to technology that enables routing of voice conversations over the Internet or a TCP/IP network. VoIP communication costs cheaper than traditional analog phone. Phone calls can be made to anywhere / anyone: Both to VoIP numbers as well as people with normal phone numbers. VoIP protocol equipment available today follows the SIP standard. Older VoIP equipment though would follow H 323, MGCP, Megaco/H.248. A SIP server is the main component of an IP PBX, dealing with the setup of all SIP calls in the TCP/IP network. A SIP server is also referred to a Asterisk IP-PBX. A VoIP telephone, also known as a SIP phone or a softphone, allows the user to make phone calls to any softphone, mobile or PC by using App store. A VoIP telephone can be a simple software-based softphone. However, the SIP Server and the program is vulnerable to VoIP attacks. In this paper, eavesdropping attacks tested by using the Asterisk SIP server. Eavesdropping attacks and TLS security methods apply to VoIP system. TLS can be applied to determine whether the eavesdropping available for VoIP Environments.

  • Recently, TCP/IP on Ethernet protocol is in use environment of LAN have developed a single chip by hardware. Therefore, the study about the single chip applies to the system control application like information electronic appliances, manufacturing automation machine has been made progress. This paper is the development of experimental Client node and Serve node that can transfer input-output data needed on Network Control System Client node is a sensor part of control system, that is, an analog signal is applicable to output data convert AD through LAN. Server node data sended in client convert DA, and then it is applicable to driver of Control System, so it achieves its part. In this study, is prove that using TCP/IP construct Network Control System.

  • The communication between the center system and the local controller in the Traffic Signal Controller Specification has been specified by a communication line for the exclusive use and the analog modem serial protocol. Therefore, it can't be adapted in the ITS communication network of the TCP/IP protocol being constructed in the local city. The international and domestic ITS device's communication specification has adapted the DATEX-ASN data exchange technique based on the ethernet communication network. So, this study was performed by the purpose of developing the application communication protocol's standard draft based on the TCP/IP communication protocol for the traffic signal controller, to be able to constitute the traffic signal control system in the ITS communication network. The communication format for 23 items of control, status, and database request etc. which are specified in the standard traffic signal controller was developed by appling the DATEX-ASN data interface procedure and structure which are KS ISO X 14827 Part1, 2, ISO/ DIS 15784 Part-3. To test the developed protocol, the application program for the communication items was developed and according to the test result, the encoding and the decoding transection for all communication items was possible.

  • In this paper we propose a technique of implementing the reconfigurable network protocol stack that allows for partitioning network protocol functions into software and hardware tasks on a SoC (System on Chip) platform. Additionally, we present a method that guarantees the deadline of both an individual task and messages exchanging among tasks in order to meet the deadline of real-time multimedia and networking services. The proposed real-time message exchange method guarantees the deadline of messages generated by multimedia services that are required to meet the real-time properties of multimedia applications. After implementing the networking functions of TCP/IP protocol suite into hardware and software tasks, we verify and validate their performance on the SoC platform. Experimental results indicate that the proposed technique improves the performance of TCP/IP protocol suit as well as application service satisfaction in application-specific real-time.
