The present study is to explore the possibility of utilizing loess and fly ash as well as activated carbon for the adsorptive removal of T-N and T-P in water. Here, we investigated adsorption efficiency and Freundlich constants k and 1/n of each adsorbent. It was found that fly ash has not adsorptive capability for both T-N and T-P in water. Adsorption of T-N from water by loess has not occurred, but showed that adsorption efficiency for T-P reached approximately 57.5% at equilibrium time of 24 hr and room temperature. Activated carbon was shown to be an effective adsorbent for adsorption of T-N from water. Freundlich constant 1/n value of activated carbon represented that adsorptive capability of activated carbon is almost equivalent to loess.
This study was performed to evaluate the bioequivalency between the Osmetone$^{TM}$ Tablet (Myeongmoon Pharm. Co., Ltd.) as a test formulation and the Relafen$^{TM}$ Tablet (Handok Pharm. Co., Ltd.) as a reference formulation. Twenty-four healthy male volunteers were administered the formulations by the randomized Latin square crossover design, and the plasma samples were determined by a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with Ultra-Violet (UV) detector. AUC$_t$, C$_{max}$ and T$_{max}$ were obtained from the time-plasma concentration curves, and log-transformed AUC$_t$ and C$_{max}$ and log-untransformed T$_{max}$ values for two formulations were compared by statistical tests and analysis of variation. AUC$_t$ was determined to be 897.8${\pm}$431.1 ug.hr/ml for the reference formulation and 902.3${\pm}$408.4 ug.hr/ml for the test formulation. The mean values of C$_{max}$ for the reference and test formulations were 24.2${\pm}$8.9 and 24.0${\pm}$9.5 ug/ml, respectively. The AUC$_t$ and C$_{max}$ ratios of the reference Relafen$^{TM}$ Tablet to the test Osmetone$^{TM}$ Tablet were +5.01% and -0.83%, respectively, showing that the mean differences were satisfied the acceptance criteria within 20%. The results from analysis of variance for logtransformed AUC$_t$ and C$_{max}$ indicated that sequence effects between groups were not exerted and 90% confidence limits of the mean differences for AUC$_t$ and C$_{max}$ were located in ranges from log 0.80 to log 1.25, satisfying the acceptance criteria of the KFDA bioequivalence. The Osmetone$^{TM}$ Tablet as the test formulation was considered to be bioequivalant to the Relafen$^{TM}$ Tablet used as its reference formulation, based on AUC$_t$ and C$_{max}$ values.
This study was carried out to investigate the general characteristics such as volume, sperm concentration, sperm motility, sperm abnormality on whole semen, RSP-S and RSP-T semen and fractional semen of small size dogs, and the effect of temperature and preservation time and cryoproservation on motility of whole and RSP-S and RSP- T semen. Multimedia information, including video and voice, is highly utilized in that it is easily understood by people. For this reason, applications have been studied which store multimedia information in IoT devices and transmit information in conjunction with smartphones. The problem is that the size of information can be larger than the capacity of IoT devices due to video and image. In this paper, the multimedia content design technique, which takes into account the limitations of storage capacity, was studied when there is a limit of storage capacity. Considering that the video has a higher understanding of information than text, while the capacity is larger, the solution between information comprehension and capacity is sought. The size of static and dynamic media is a variable and the harm is solved in accordance with the linear planning method. Case studies have shown that the design techniques of this paper are useful.

With the advancement and proliferation of the Internet of Things (IoT), a wide range of location-based services are being offered, and various ranging methods are being researched to meet the objectives of the required services. Conventional ranging methods involve the direct exchange of signals between tags and anchors to estimate distance, presenting a limitation in efficiently utilizing communication resources in large-scale IoT environments. To overcome these limitations, active-passive ranging methods have been proposed. However, there is a lack of theoretical convergence guarantees against clock drift errors and a detailed analysis of the characteristics of ranging estimation techniques, making it challenging to derive precise positioning results. In this paper, an improved active-passive ranging method that accounts for clock drift errors is proposed for precise positioning in large-scale IoT environments. The simulation results confirmed that the proposed active-passive ranging method can enhance distance estimation performance by up to 94.4% and 14.4%, respectively, compared to the existing active-passive ranging methods.
Let E be a uniformly convex Banach space with a uniformly $G{\hat{a}}teaux$ differentiable norm, C a nonempty closed convex subset of E, and $T\;:\;C\;{\rightarrow}\;E$ a nonexpansive mapping satisfying the weak inwardness condition. Assume that every weakly compact convex subset of E has the fixed point property. For $f\;:\;C\;{\rightarrow}\;C$ a contraction and $t\;{\in}\;(0,\;1)$, let $x_t$ be a unique fixed point of a contraction $T_t\;:\;C\;{\rightarrow}\;E$, defined by $T_tx\;=\;tf(x)\;+\;(1\;-\;t)Tx$, $x\;{\in}\;C$. It is proved that if {$x_t$} is bounded, then $x_t$ converges to a fixed point of T, which is the unique solution of certain variational inequality. Moreover, the strong convergence of other implicit and explicit iterative schemes involving the sunny nonexpansive retraction is also given in a reflexive and strictly convex Banach space with a uniformly $G{\hat{a}}teaux$ differentiable norm.

Rice bran contains high amounts of fiber and various phytochemicals, including vitamin E, ${\gamma}$-oryzanol, and phenolic acids. The oxidative stabilities of corn oil added with three rice bran extracts from two rice cultivars (Dasan 1 and Ilpum) were evaluated. The three rice bran extracts were unsaponifiable matter of rice bran (USM), methanolic extract of rice bran oil (MEO), and methanolic extract of defatted rice bran (MEDR). Each sample was stored at $50^{\circ}C$ for 24 days. Oxidation of these samples was determined every 3 days by measuring the peroxide value (POV) and conjugated diene value (CDV). Vitamin E content was analyzed on day 0 and day 24. The results show that the POV and CDV values of samples increased gradually during the storage period. The order of oxidative stability was shown as BHT> MEDR> MEO> USM> control, regardless of cultivars. In the case of vitamin E, ${\alpha}$-T, ${\gamma}$-T, ${\alpha}$-T3, and ${\gamma}$-T3 contents decreased by 89%, 31%, 83%, and 32% after storage for 24 days, respectively. In conclusion, MEDR showed higher oxidative stability and may have potential as a source of natural antioxidants in the oil industry.

This study examined the efficacy and the mechanism of action of biological response modifiers, ginsenosides Rb1 and Rg1 isolated from Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer on human keratinocytes HaCaT cell lines. A non-significant cytotoxic response was obtained in the HaCaT cell lines on treatment with various concentrations of ginsenosides Rb1 and Rg1 for different time durations. Furthermore, the global changes in the mRNA profile of HaCaT cells were investigated using DNA microarrays after stimulation with the ginsenosides Rb1 and Rg1. Ginsenosides Rb1 and Rg1 strongly increased FGF2 in HaCaT cells, and were found to be a candidate gene for antioxidant activity and elasticity. Other key candidate genes for antioxidant activity, such as FANCD2, LEPR, and FAS, also show enhanced regulation in HaCaT cells treated with ginsenoside Rb1. This study will be useful for understanding the regulatory genes involved in skin elasticity and signal transduction pathway stimulated by the ginsenoside Rb1. This paper currently focuses on the key factors regulating the interaction of anti-aging principles and skin elasticity.
In order to obtain the basic data fir the effective seed production of sea squirt, Halocynthia roretzi(Drasche), the influence of water temperature and light intensity on spawning induction, egg development and seed settling were investigated during the Period from December 24, 1906 to February 24, 1987. The maximum number of eggs spawned was obtained at $14^{\circ}C$. The relationships between the water temperature (T, $^{\circ}C$) and the required time (h, hour) in each egg developmental stage were given as follows : Up to 8 cell 1/h =0.0147 T-0.0069(.=0.9816), Up to 32 cell 1/h =0.0100 T-0.0017(r=0.9672), Up to early tadpole 1/h =0.0043 T+0.0024(r=0.9913), Up to hatching larva 1/h =0.0021 T-0.0021 (r=0.9898). The highest rate of seed attachment was obtained at $14^{\circ}C$ of water temperature.
The effects of pre-partum feeding management in terms of birth weight, growth, metabolic profile and immunity of calves were studied using 24 crossbred (Bos taurus${\times}$Bos indicus) cows, divided into three equal groups. The dietary treatments included feeding of either 3.0 kg concentrate/head/d throughout the 60 d pre-partum (T$_1$), or 3.0 kg concentrate during 60-22 d pre-partum and thereafter at an increased allowance at 0.25 kg/d during the next 21 d till it reached 1% of live weight (T$_2$). The third group of cows was fed similar to T$_2$, except that the concentrate feeding during 60-22 d pre-partum was reduced to 2.0 kg (T$_3$). All the groups had access to ad libitum green fodder throughout. The results revealed that the mean daily dry matter (DM) intake by the cows was similar (p>0.05) among the three groups during the 60 days of the pre-partum but T2 animals tended to gain more live weight (41.25 kg) than T$_1$ (38.12 kg) and T$_3$ (36.25 kg). The body condition score of the cows did not change appreciably over the experimental period. The mean birth weight of the calves was 24.00${\pm}$1.10, 24.63${\pm}$1.17 and 23.25${\pm}$1.19 kg for the three groups, respectively, with the corresponding average daily gain of 154.2, 155.0 and 169.7 g during the subsequent 60 days; both these parameters did not vary significantly ascribable to prepartum feeding regimens of their dams. The total immunoglobulin (Ig) concentration in the colostrum was 6.31${\pm}$0.34, 5.80${\pm}$0.21 and 6.13${\pm}$0.30 g/dl for the three groups, respectively, showing no influence of dietary treatments. The mean serum Ig levels (T$_1$ 2.10${\pm}$0.09, T$_2$ 2.05${\pm}$0.09 and T$_3$ 2.10${\pm}$0.12 g/dl) of calves at 5 d of age were similar among the dietary groups as was the case with various serum biochemical constituents. It is concluded that the variations in pre-partum dietary management elicited no significant influence on the calf performance including the immune status.
