  • Let $Y{\subset}{\mathbb{P}}^3$ be a degree d reduced curve with only planar singularities. We prove that $h^i({\mathcal{I}}_Y(t))=0$, i = 1, 2, for all $t{\geq}d-2$. We use this result and linkage to construct some triples (d, g, s), $d>s^2$, with very large g for which there is a smooth and connected curve of degree d and genus g, $h^0({\mathcal{I}}_C(s))=1$ and describe the Hartshorne-Rao module of C.

  • The existence and behavior of a bounded solution for a perturbed nonlinear differential equation of the type $$ (DE) x'(t) + Ax(t) \ni G(x(t)), t \in [0, \infty) $$ is considered. First, we consider the existence of a bounded solution with more simple assumptions using the concept of "the method of lines". Then we devote to study its behavior using recent results of almost non-expansive curve which is developed by Djafari Rouhani.i Rouhani.

  • The body structure of a bus is generally assembled by using various spot welded box sectional members. The shape of window pillar joint is ordinarily built up by T-type member. It has been shown that T-type member has problems like high stress concentrations, low fatigue strength and low structural rigidity. In this study, to solve these problems a new approach to optimize the design of the bus window pillar joint was tried by FEM analysis and experiments. To describe the shape of the gusset connecting the vertical and horizontal members of the T-type window pillar joint B-spline curve was adopted and this curve was optimized . It was found that the new model developed could effectively improve fatigue durability an structural rigidity.

  • We show that the modular equation ${\phi}^{T_n}_m$ (X, Y) for the Thompson series $T_n$ corresponding to ${\Gamma}_0$(n) gives an affine model of the modular curve $X_0$(mn) which has better properties than the one derived from the modular j invariant. Here, m and n are relative prime. As an application, we construct a ring class field over an imaginary quadratic field K by singular values of $T_n(z)\;and\;T_n$(mz).

  • In this present work, trimmed surface analysis for the 2D elasticity problem is presented. The main benefit of the proposed method is that no additional modeling for analysis of a trimmed surface is necessary. As the first attempt to deal with a trimmed surface in spline FEM, the information of the trimming curve and trimmed surface exported from CAD system is directly utilized for analysis. For this, trimmed elements are searched through employing projection scheme. For the integration of the trimmed elements, NURBSenhanced integration scheme which is used in NEFEM is adopted. The quadtree refinement of integration cell is performed for the complicated trimmed cases. The information of trimming curve is used for obtaining integration points as well as constructing stiffness matrix. The robustness and effectiveness of the proposed method are investigated by presenting various numerical examples.

  • Because most common assumption is normality in statistical analysis, testing normality is very important. The Q-Q plot is a powerful tool to test normality with full samples in statistical package. But the plot can't test normality in type-II censored samples. This paper proposed the modified the Q-Q plot and the modified normalized sample Lorenz curve(NSLC) for normality test in the type-II censored samples. Using the two Hodgkin's disease data sets and the type-II censored samples, we picture the modified Q-Q plot and the modified normalized sample Lorenz curve.

  • A B-H curve measuring system for testing softmagnetic materials was constructed. This system can measure the B-H curve in the low frequency(0.1 - 1 Hz) range. The drift of the integrator can be moderately removed by software technique. The advantages of the developed system are easier to measure B-H curve compared with conventional measuring system and low cost.

  • The effect of oxide additive system and $Po_2$ condition on the power loss, microstructure, initial permeability, ${\mu}_i$ vs. temperature curve of Mn-Zn ferrites has been investigated. The density and permeability increased with various additive systems while the power loss decreased. It was confirmed that the oxide additives are grain boundary materials and do not change the magnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrites such as $T_{spm}$ and $T_c$. The ${\mu}_i$ vs. T curve indicated that $T_{spm}$ moved to the higher temperature as $Po_2$ increased. It was also confirmed that the microstructure of Mn-Zn ferrites was independent of the $Po_2$ control during cooling.

Preference and Clothing Images for T-shirts Utilizing Hyojemunja Textile Pattern (민화 효제도 문양을 활용한 T셔츠의 선호도와 감성 이미지)

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate preference and clothing images for T-shirts utilizing Hyojemunja Textile Pattern. The results of this study showed that the secondary students who participate in the study had low interest in Folk-painting and that the female students were more willing to buy T-shirts utilizing The Hyojemunja Textile Pattern than the others. Secondary students preferred letters-pattern to other ones of T-shirts and they opted for the patterns with black curve scripts and the patterns located in upper parts of T-shirts. However, the participants considered straight scripts more sophisticated, unique and feminine than curve scripts and therefore, this awareness helped them become more interested in Hyojemunja Textile Pattern. The findings of the study may suggest T-shirts utilizing Hyojemunja Textile Pattern can give those who have a low interest in Folk-painting increased chances to learn Folk-painting in secondary education.

  • An indirect concept and method is proposed to predict the paint dry time at the inside wall of ship block. To implement this concept on computer program, optimal hot air supply-exhaust system of paint dry facility was designed by CFD simulation and experiment was performed to get the paint dry time curve according to various paint dry conditions. After combining the block inside environment from the simulation results and the paint dry time prediction curve from the curve-fitting of experimental result, the GUI program which can be executed in general PC OS has been finally developed.
