A Study on Handles of Furniture (가구 손잡이에 대한 연구)

  • Handles are very essential element to satisfy function of furniture except for furniture without doors. Moreover, handles of furniture tend to have not only functions for opening and shutting but also decorations for furniture. Among various hardware for furniture, handles are the one who influence furniture's design most. Yet, cases of damages occur due to the fact that there are many copying. Handles have short lives, so that it is economically quiet burden to develop new products in Korea. Therefore, this study aims to inspire necessity of investment for handles and other hardware's development by classifying types of handles, systemizing basic knowledge of design for furniture handles, and realizing the importance of handles within domestic demand.

  • This spatial inclusion in actual housings are realized in the division of cellular space, formation of room through frontality, transition of room through material surface, and the dual-systemizing of circulation into function and formality. This simultaneously establishes the self-sufficiency of individual spaces and the interrelations between volumes, and leads to Raumplan, which is a form of architecture that gradually includes space within space. Though its dichotomous consideration of space. It economizes their use, which answers to the actual request of architecture in the modern era.

  • A technical road map is one of critical research methods which include mid/long term strategies and objectives. There are many of projects conducted using this road map. A technical tree is used at the step of planning of the projects. This research was aimed at reviewing previous systems for conducting researches for and a basis required for improving railway safety in the future by finding out inconsistency arising from physical WBS, which is methodology of defining in existing railway technical trees. In the process of this research, we considered differences between systems safety and prevention as well as natures of them using the established technical tree, and set up plans for improving technical tree to secure railway safety as an integrated system.

  • There are something unreasonable, unsatisfactory on the law system for laboratorial safety enforced by the government from April 2006. Therefore, the system should be reviewed and revised to be satisfactory for current research condition. This study is to analyze research areas for improving laboratorial safety and to show safer ideas. With more detail, more practically improving ideas have been shown for systemizing safety assessment in advance, effective organization of laboratory, safety committee and their regulation. It is expected that better safety level all the concerned engagement, reasonable revision of safety regulation of laboratory, can be made by this research result.

  • In 2010, it appears that Korean economic growth rate heavily depends on its international trade. Thus, a sustainable growth of the international trade is very important to Korea. To increase export, a continuous making profits is the most important to companies and TSO(Trade Support Organization) needs to provide a trade support services to the exporting firms. In this context, this study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the correlation between company performance and service quality, utilization and customer satisfaction of TSO. Some implications from the results of this study are suggested. First, TSO needs to boost the utilization of its services by enhancing systemizing, reliability and empathy of its service qualities. And then, TSO needs to encourage companies to focus on export-oriented business mind, since these companies have tendency to show a better practical application and high degree of performance as well. Third, TSO needs to develop some exceptional services for the companies with the low weight of export in turnover since those groups tend to have higher customer satisfaction. Our major findings contribute to the trade support service planning of TSO.

  • This paper is concerned with the effective and efficient teaching-learning method with experimental equipments in automobile engineering. For deriving this educational methodology, teaching-learning methods being valuable in engineering education, and troubles and demands for experimental equipments in teaching and learning area are surveyed and reviewed. In results, we suggest the concept of total educational system considering and systemizing an experimental equipment as well as various educational materials such as courseware, teaching and experimental guide, virtual simulator, and operating manual, and so develop the total educational system of electrical engineering for automobile and suggest the application of this system on instruction process.

The Development and Characteristics of Dymaxion Housing by Richard Buckminster Fuller (벅민스터 풀러의 다이맥시온 주거의 발전과정 및 주요 계획특성)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the development and characteristics of Dymaxion housing by R. B. Fuller, who is generally known as a structure engineering, architect and his influences. A document research method was used to analyze and classified of his dymaxion housing projects focused on the late of 1920's. Through this study, the following conclusions have been reached; 1) In order to obtain the productivity and efficiency drawing from the industrialized housing in the early of 1900s, the planning concepts of 'Dymaxion', 'Ehemeralization' and 'Autonomy' were proposed. 2) The planning characteristics of Dymaxion housing projects are classified as three aspects. The first is 'formative aspects' which was focused on the round-shape, transparency and lightweight material such as aluminium for movable and flexible dwelling. The second is 'functional aspects', focused on the mass-production, mobility, flexibility, high-tech and systemizing mechanical equipments for efficiency of household affairs. The third is 'environmental aspects', focused on the energy-saving and environmental control for sustainable dwelling. Dymaxion housing projects of Fuller, an aggregation of high-tech mechanical equipments, had a great impact on the development the concept of mobility and influenced radical and utopian architectural groups' ideas of 1960's. Especially, considering today's high cost of energy and the limited natural resources, Fuller's Dymaxion theory must be re-evaluated.

  • To manage a construction project efficiently, it is essential to ensure the practical usage in construction management. The purpose of this study is to develop a practical model, which will increase the efficiency of management. The followings are the method of this study: (1) Establishing a breakdown structure based on integration of CBS and WBS which is well acquainted (2) Developing and systemizing managerial standards and processes on such activities as calculating and marking progress rates & schedule, summarizing cost by activities level, making out project analysis reports. This study shall contribute to raising the efficiency in construction management after being verified in a pilot project and being developed into construction management system.

  • We investigated the possibility of systemizing data for the colour gradation of classical ceramics by build-ing program and D-basing each data information in pottery field that has been fall behind in forming data be-cause of many variable and lacking of data system. In this study we manufactured $CoAl_2O_4$ stain that has stable spinel structure at high temperature and then mixed base glaze with stain for the additive per-centage of 0.5 , 1, 5, 10, 15 wt% In thie colouring of Lime base glaze with the wide ranged melting tem-perature the colour development of cobalt-blue sintered at $1250^{\circ}C$ is better than that of $1150^{\circ}C$ $1350^{\circ}C$ The experimental conditions and data are D-based simulated programming of computer. The result of -based data appeared to be more smoothed fusion-adherence in the Matt glaze range of Lime base glaze, The variation of colouring is not found when additive content of glaze is more than 5 wt% and the stable colour development of stain was shown at the content that RO, $R_2O$ percentage is high (the content that R2O3 per-centage is low)
