공학-교전급 전투실험을 위한 C2 가상모의 연동 시뮬레이터 개발 (Development of C2 Virtual Linked Simulator For Engineering and Engagement Level Battle Experimentation)

  • 해군 무기체계 전투실험은 미래 새로운 무기체계의 소요를 창출하고 운용개념을 정립하며, 작전운용성능을 실험하고 검증할 뿐 아니라 나아가 교리발전 및 훈련에 이르기까지 폭넓게 실험을 수행하고 있다. 한국 해군은 전투실험을 효과적으로 지원할 수 있는 도구는 물론 전용의 실험 시설을 통해서 효율적, 효과적인 모의기반획득 지원환경을 구축하기 위해 노력하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 해군 전투실험의 훈련 및 전술발전 지원을 위한 C2 가상모의 연동 시뮬레이터를 개발하고 연동을 위한 아키텍처를 설계하였다. 대함전/대공전 시뮬레이션은 교전급 모델인 SADM을 이용하고 대잠전 시뮬레이션은 공학급 모델인 교전분석 시뮬레이터를 재사용하여 운용자 참여가 가능한 전투실험을 수행하였다. 전투실험을 통해 나온 결과를 분석, 훈련 전술에 반영하고 운용자 참여를 통해서 훈련 현실감을 높였다. C2 가상모의 연동 아키텍처는 전투실험 교전에 대한 연동 및 C2 훈련이 가능한 구성의 아키텍처로 설계되었다. 또한 서로 다른 운용개념의 시스템을 통합하고 연동하기 위한 아키텍처이다.

  • 선진국에서는 가스터빈엔진을 개발하여 항공기, 대형선박, 유도무기용으로 많이 사용한다. 국내에서도 엔진부품 생산단계를 넘어 소형 가스터빈엔진을 개발하고 있으나, 가스터빈엔진에서 가장 중요한 핵심기술인 엔진제어 관련기술은 선진국에서 기술이전을 기피하고 있다. 본 논문은 가스터빈엔진 시뮬레이터 개발에 대한 연구이다. 논문에서 제시하는 시뮬레이터는 가스터빈엔진의 성능데이터를 기반으로 한 엔진 수학적 모델을 통하여 엔진 시뮬레이터를 개발함으로서 가스터빈엔진 제어알고리즘 개발을 쉽게 할 수 있도록 하고, 엔진제어기 의 기능도 검증 할 수 있도록 한다. 본 시뮬레이터에는 엔진센서 신호변환 보드를 설계하여 시뮬레이션 할 때 엔진모델 센서신호가 실제 센서와 같은 신호가 생성되도록 하였다. 가스터빈엔진에 대한 실제 엔진시험 결과와 시뮬레이션 결과를 비교하여 시뮬레이터의 성능을 입증하였다.

  • 최근 중국의 경제 활성화에 힘입어 물동량이 급증하게 되었고, 따라서 선박의 폭발적인 요구도 생기게 되었다. 그러나 조선소의 건조 능력은 드라이도크의 용량에 의하여 크게 의존할 수밖에 없는 실정이다. 드라이도크의 건조는 상당히 긴 기간을 필요로 하고, 또 건조 비용도 많이 들기 때문에 장기적인 조선의 수요의 관점에서 타당성을 검토할 필요가 있다. 더욱 시급한 것은 당장 목전에 와 있는 조선 수요를 적절히 감당해 주어야 한다는 점이다. 그래서 여러 조선소에서는 드라이도크의 부족을 메우기 위한 다양한 방안들이 검토되었다. 현대중공업에서는 육상 건조법을 도입하였고, 삼성중공업과 STX 조선소에서는 플로팅도크에서 건조하는 방법을 도입하였다. 본 논문은 육상에서 건조한 대블록을 플로팅도크에 밀어 넣는 Skid Launching System(SLS)을 위한 도크 제어 시뮬레이터를 개발하여 모의 조정한 결과를 보인다. 대형 블록을 플로팅도크에 밀어 넣기 전에 발라스트 순서도를 작성하여 모의 작업을 통하여 안정성을 확인한 뒤 실제 작업 시 이 순서대로 작업을 하여 플로팅도크의 안전성을 확보하기 위한 장치를 개발한 것이다.

Large-scale AC/DC EMT Level System Simulations by a Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) in KEPRI-KEPCO

  • Recently, the Korea Enhanced Power system Simulator (KEPS) was upgraded with new processor cards and various peripheral devices. The purpose of the upgrade is for the large-scale AC/DC simulation studies for different purposes such as FACTS, PMU applications, and SPS. The need for such study is now growing in KEPCO network. Frequently, traditional ways of performing the necessary study had been found to be less adequate for guiding the key decisions in the company. Therefore, the growing needs, as well as the revealed inadequacy of the traditional system studies, had been attributing to the momentum for the upgrade project. This paper explains the details of the upgrade project. As an example of presenting the effectiveness of the upgraded RTDS system in KEPRI-KEPCO, a large-scale AC/DC real time simulation case which includes the entire Korean network and a planned MMC-HVDC system is introduced.

  • A Visual development framework for embedded system is presented based on virtual prototyping. Embedded systems often are used in life critical situation, where reliability is very important. Time_to_market, correctness, user_friendly_design are another features required for embedded system design. However, embedded systems are today designed with an ad hoc approach that is heavily based on earlier experience with similar products. We believe that new design paradigm is needed and it should be based on the use of formal model and visual system to describe the behavior of the system at a high level abstraction. Virtual prototyping has all the required features. It has the following advantages; correct design, clear interface definition, idea experimentation, increased communication. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of VIP/Sim(Virtual Prototyping Simulator), a visionary development framework for embedded system design. New feature such as state polymorphism is augmented to the de_facto standard formal language, statechart, for enhanced dynamic modeling. Actual design experience with VIP/Sim is also discussed.

A Flexible Conveying System using Hybrid Control under Distributed Network

  • In this research, we propose a flexible conveying system (FCS) which consists of multiple arrays of cells. Each cell is a wheel driven by a two degree-of-freedom mechanism. The direction and velocity of cell are controlled based on the concept of hybrid control under a distributed network. Each cell has its own controller under a subsumption architecture for low-level control. A cell communicates with its four neighboring cells to manipulate n targeted object towards its desired position. The high-level control assigns a desired position and direction of the object to each cell. The path of each object is generated by many supporting cells. Moreover, the FCS can handle multiple objects simultaneously. To study the flexible conveying system, a GUI-based simulator of flexible conveying system is constructed. The simulated results show that the system can handle multiple objects independently and simultaneously under the proposed hybrid control architecture.

  • Recently, applications of VSC-HVDC systems to power systems are growing because of their control ability of reactive power. Meanwhile, the hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS) based on the real-time digital simulator has been applying to develop and test imbedded controllers and systems in the power industry to decrease costs and to save time. In this paper, a 3-level neutral point clamped (NPC) VSC-HVDC system is modeled and the embedded controllers of the NPC VSC-HVDC system are designed. The designed controllers are implemented by TMS320F28335. The TMS320F28335-based controllers of the NPC VSC-HVDC system are tested using the HILS.

  • The subject of this paper is the tole operation for unmanned vehicle. The aim is studied in context of motor control system and algorithms for the mid to low level control of tele operation unmanned vehicle described. Modern, vehicle related researches have been implemented about control, chassis, body and safe쇼 but now is to driving comfort, I.T.S. and human factor, etc. As a result of this fact, unmanned vehicle is main research topic over the world but it is still very expensive and unreasonable. A hierarchical approach is studied in context of motor control system and algorithms for the mid to low level control of tele operation unmanned vehicle described. The real time control and monitoring of longitudinal, lateral, Pitching motion is to be solved by system integration and optimization technique. We show the experimental result about fixed brake range test and acceleration test. And all system is to integrated for driving simulator and unmanned vehicle.

  • This paper constitutes the simulator of the serial production line using Extended Petri Nets. We analyze each operations and effect of machine down, calculating the performance measures for improving the capability of manufacturing system. The performance measures are system efficiency, average utilization of machines, average buffer level, and so on. We intend to present the information of the operation states and various problem occurring in the systems.

  • Backpack-mounted mapping system is firstly introduced for flexible movement in indoor spaces where satellite-based localization is not available. With the achieved advances in miniaturization and weight reduction, use of LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensors in mobile platforms has been increasing, and indeed, they have provided high-precision information on indoor environments and their surroundings. Previous research on the development of backpack-mounted mapping systems, has concentrated mostly on the improvement of data processing methods or algorithms, whereas practical system components have been determined empirically. Thus, in the present study, a simulator for a LiDAR sensor (Velodyne VLP-16), was developed for comparison of the effects of diverse conditions on the backpack system and its operation. The simulated data was analyzed by visual inspection and comparison of the data sets' statistics, which differed according to the LiDAR arrangement and moving speed. Also, the data was used as input to a point-cloud registration algorithm, ICP (Iterative Closest Point), to validate its applicability as pre-analysis data. In fact, the results indicated centimeter-level accuracy, thus demonstrating the potentials of simulation data to be utilized as a tool for performance comparison of pointdata processing methods.
