An Implementation Scheme for the Detection System of RFID Defective Tags Using LabVIEW OOP

  • In this paper, we suggest the object-oriented methodology for the design and implementation scheme for the program development in the application of control and instrumentation such as the detection system of RFID defective tags which needs the embedded programming. We apply the design methodology of UML in the system design phase, and suggest the implementation scheme of LabVIEW programs using LVOOP(LabVIEW Object Oriented Programming)in which make it possible to write the object-oriented programming. We design the class diagram and the sequence diagram using UML, and write the classes of LVOOP from the designed class diagram and the main VI from the sequence diagram, respectively. We show that it is possible to develop the embedded programs such as the RFID application through the implementation example of the detection system of RFID defective tags in this paper. And, we obtain the advantages based on the object-oriented design and implementation using the LVOOP approach such as the development of LabVIEW programs by adding the classes and the concept of object of the object-oriented language to LabVIEW.

  • The broad meaning of system integration is to satisfy user requirement, and to secure and offer Hardware, Software, network, System development, maintenance, education and manpower in his own responsibility for successful business. But the basic concept of system integration is not justified and the methodology of propel procedure is not established. Therefore, in this thesis. first, We established the bagic concept of system integration in practical view. second, We modeled the propel procedure of system integration with many large project examples in view of up to date IT (information technology) view. Development and Test of the Remote Operator Visual Support System Based on Virtual Environment (가상환경기반 원격작업자 시각지원시스템 개발 및 시험)

  • With a remote operated manipulator system, the situation at a remote site can be rendered through remote visualized image to the operator. Then the operator can quickly realize situations and control the slave manipulator by operating a master input device based on the information of the virtual image. In this study, the remote operator visual support system (ROVSS) was developed for viewing support of a remote operator to perform the remote task effectively. A visual support model based on virtual environment was also inserted and used to fulfill the need of this study. The framework for the system was created by Windows API based on PC and the library of 3D graphic simulation tool such as ENVISION. To realize this system, an operation test environment for a limited operating site was constructed by using experimental robot operation. A 3D virtual environment was designed to provide accurate information about the rotation of robot manipulator, the location and distance of operation tool through the real time synchronization. In order to show the efficiency of the visual support, we conducted the experiments by four methods such as the direct view, the camera view, the virtual view and camera view plus virtual view. The experimental results show that the method of camera view plus virtual view has about 30% more efficiency than the method of camera view.

  • Due to the recent rise of a need for 3 dimensional geospatial information on urban areas, general interest in aerial multi-view cameras has been on an increase. The conventional geospatial information system depends solely upon vertical images, while the multi-view camera is capable of taking both vertical and oblique images taken from multiple directions, thus making it easier for the user to interpret the object. Through our research we developed a prototype of a multi-view camera system that includes a camera system, GPS/INS, a flight management system, and a control system. We also studied and experimented with the camera viewing angles, the synchronization of image capture, the exposure delay, the data storage that must be considered for the development of the multi-view camera system.

  • A wind turbine monitoring system is essential equipment fur the performance evaluation and mechanical load analysis of a wind turbine. A monitoring system using LabVIEW is developed in this study. This system monitors signals from a meteorological mast, wind turbine generator, and tower. The discrete signals which are sampled at t Hz are automatically saved on a data file in the unit of a day. Besides these basic functions, the developed monitoring system has the other several capabilities. One of them is the information access from a remote PC through the internet. A vision image of the test site area and data files that are produced by LabVIBW software can be uploaded to the main computer located in a remote site. An emergency backup system using UPS fur the power loss on the monitoring HW is also prepared, A detail explanation for the developed wind turbine monitoring system is presented in this study.

  • In this paper, we introduced a simulator to visualize the driving scenery of newly developed train called the K-AGT(Korea Automated Guideway Transit). The simulator consists of mainly two parts; control system and display system. In the control system, user can control the driving speed of the K-AGT, the driving environment(day and night), the operation of the train door and the screen door and user's views(driver's view, left window view, right window view, passenger's view). In the display system, immersive driving scenery generated by stereoscopic head mount display system and 3 channel PDP display system are displayed. We are expect to utilize the system to share the idea among customer, designer and constructor and verify the operating condition of the K-AGT intuitively.

  • Around-View, the image processing device which increases the comfort of drivers is sold in the market. This system prevents accidents in advance while driving or parking. The accidents are caused with their inexperienced driving or bad visibility. It is developed for driving convenience. However, it dosen't spread to the driver widely due to the problem of the high installation costs and complex installation process. First, expensive equipment second, difficult development environment and third, inconvenient installation procedure. So the drivers don't have many opportunities to use this system and dare to develop this system. I think if one of the problems can be solved, users might be able to access this system at low cost. In this paper, the AVM(Around-View Monitoring) minimizes two of them. Expensive equipment, inconvenient installation. The costly problems were solved by using low-cost USB device and rear cameras. In view of inconvenient installation process, the new system was designed to make it easy for people to install it. Through this, it can ease the burden of consumers.

  • UML is a very good description of object-oriented concepts and supports the use case diagram for analyzing the system functionality, the class diagram for representing the domain object in the analysis step, the sequence diagram for connecting the action in the class. The visual-based, object-oriented LabVIEW OOP is an intuitive design tool that can be executed at the same time as a development tool. However, even the system developer using LabVIEW OOP is needed known about the object-oriented concept in the design stage. In this paper, we suggest the method to applying the UML modeling diagram to LabVIEW OOP design.

The Development of Portable Rotor Bar Fault Diagnosis System for Three Phase Small Induction Motors Using LabVIEW (LaVIEW를 이용한 휴대용 3상 소형유도전동기 회전자 바 고장 진단 시스템 개발)

  • In this paper, a portable rotor bar fault diagnosis system for small 3 phase induction motors is suggested. For portable real-tine diagnosis system, an USB-DAQ board for collecting the 3 phase current data, three current probes, and a notebook computer are used. The LabVIEW graphical language is used for filtering, analysis, storing, and monitoring the current data. The three phase stator current are filtered and transformed to frequency level by FIT. An analysis window programed by LabVIEW is located in front panel to show the FIT results and this suggested window has a zooming function to detect the fault feature more easily near the feature frequency range which is varying by the slip frequency. To show the possibility of portable rotor bar diagnosis system, three types(healthy, one rotor bar fault, two rotor bar fault) of rotor bar are intentionally prepared and compared by the suggested window of front panel. Experimental results are shown that a suggested diagnosis system is applicable to portable diagnosis system and the rotor bar fault is detected by the frequency window in front panel programed in LabVIEW graphical language.
