In line with the recent public concern on the environmental issues in building industry, there has been a rise in demand for a healthy, sustainable housing environment in South Korea. In order to achieve a healthy environment in residential buildings, considerable efforts have been made in a wide range of sectors. Among others, the development of the certification schemes to promote environment-friendly planning and building construction is remarkable. In urban South Korea, recently built houses tend to be significantly high-rise, high-density buildings. Global warming has brought about drastic climate change and continued to increase the average annual temperature year by year. These changes should be well reflected on the government's implementation of the building environmental assessment system. For guidance, therefore, this study looks to the case of Hong Kong which is well known for high-density housing development and subtropical climate conditions. It compares the features of the green building certification schemes for newly developed multifamily housing in two regions, namely HK-BEAM in Hong Kong and G-SEED in South Korea. Based on the findings, it argues that the G-SEED implementor should have expanded roles in providing training programs and follow-up services in collaboration with the certification authorities. It is also argued that G-SEED professionals should be involved in the early stages of design processes, and training programs and licence systems to produce green building professionals should be developed. Finally, it points out that the assessment indicators should be more detailed and diversified.

In this paper, we propose a unique systolic structure and communication algorithm that maintains a solid link between nodes using synchronous digital communication and enables low power communication. This system was designed by using CC2500 RF transceiver, CC2590 RF front end and C8051F330 low power microcontroller. The measurement of power consumption in the network link shows below $400{\mu}W$ in data transfer rate 320bps. The system constitutes the base unit of low power wireless network that was composed of each seven link nodes having eight sensor nodes. Results of the experiments show that link nodes using a 4Ah battery could operate over 3 years without replacement.

The business of companies has become more fierce due to the age of limitless competition. In addition, to improve the service satisfaction of their customers, they have continued their efforts. The researches about making their efforts get profits have done. As a result, CRM(customer relationship management) which is appropriate to analysis, evaluate and draw one of solutions to satisfy customers is received attention. Therefore, in this material we consider a architecture for keyword extraction system which is a kind of necessary technology for e-business model to provide a differentiated service. And then we could get the know-how of customer acquisition and maintenance.

For an high speed communication, a 40GHz VCO was implemented using a 0.11um standard CMOS technology. The mm-wave VCO was designed by a LC type using a spiral inductor, and a simplified architecture with buffers and a smart biasing technique were used to get a high performance. The frequency range of the proposed VCO is 34~40GHz which is suitable for mm-Wave communication system. It has an output power of -16dBm and 16% tuning range. And the phase noise is -100.33dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset at 38GHz fundamental frequency. The total power consumption of VCO including PADs is 16.8mW with 1.2V supply voltage. The VCO achieves the FOMT of -183.8dBc/Hz which is better than previous VOCs.

In Android platform, as applications invoke various service functions through IPC (Inter-Process Communication), IPC performance is critical to the responsiveness in Android. However, Android offers long IPC latency of hundreds of micro-seconds due to complicated software stacks between the kernel Binder and the user-level process Context Manager. This separation provides modularity and flexibility, but degrades the responsiveness of services owing to additional context switching and inefficient request handling. In this paper, we anatomize Android IPC mechanisms and observe that 55% of IPC latency comes from the communication overhead between Binder and Context Manager. Based on this observation, this paper proposes a kernel Binder cache that retains a popular subset of service function mappings, thereby reducing the requests transferred to the user-level daemon. The proposed Binder cache is implemented in Android 5.0 and experimental results with various benchmarks show that the proposed cache architecture improves performance by 52.9% on average.

FTT(Fast Fourier Transform) processor is widely used in OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplesing) system. Because of the increased requirement of mobility and bandwidth in the OFDM system, they need large point FTT processor. Since the size of memory which stores the twiddle factor coefficients are proportional to the N of FFT size, we propose a new method by which we can reduce the size of the coefficient memory. In the proposed method, we exploit a counter and unsigned multiplier to generate the twiddle factor indices. To verify the proposed algorithm, we design TFCGs(Twiddle Factor Coefficient Generator) for 1024pint FFTs with R2SDF(Radix-2 Single-Path Delay Feedback), $R2^3SDF,\;R2^3SDF,\;R2^4SDF$ architectures. The size of ROM is reduced to 1/8N. In the case of $R2^4SDF$ architecture, the area and the power are reduced by 57.9%, 57.5% respectively.
Recently with the advancement of local wireless communication technologies, digital trends of audio contents and devices are paving the way for new experiences to network-based audio streaming services. In this paper, we present the Wireless Audio Sharing (WASH) technology over Bluetooth and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). WASH system provides an audio sharing mechanism over multiple users and also provides stereo audio streaming between Bluetooth-enabled devices and Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) media devices connected to wired/wireless LANs. To achieve these, we extended the Bluetooth audio distribution profile and combined the extended profile with the UPnP AV architecture. With the implementation of this WASH technology, we show some experimental results of the stereo audio streaming in a real environment.

Network virtualization technology is a crucial research issue of Future Internet which pursues a service-oriented architecture so-called NaaS (Network as a Service) or SDN (Software Defined Network). Network virtualization is expected to play an important role in Future Internet researches as a network testbed technology which enables innovative protocols to be experimented independently on a common testbed environment. We propose a control framework in order to provide user defined topology and bandwidth services with network virtualization and to separate and manage multiple-user traffics in a small and medium scale - single domain research network. The proposed framework (VIMS; Virtual network Integrated control and Management System) supports testbed expansions without any changes of heterogeneous virtual network support equipments through accommodation of each equipment's control plane. The framework shows a feasibility through applied to KOREN and we describe the differences and further study directions for improvement the framework comparing with GENI control framework.

With a spread of mobile devices, the growing trend of integrating wireless communications technologies into transportation systems is advanced. In particular, vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) enable vehicles to share traffic information that they have through intervehicle communications. This research focused on the design of an integrated transportation and communication simulation framework to build an environment that is more realistic than previous studies developed for studying VANETs. Developing a VANET-based information model, this research designed an integrated transportation and communication simulation framework in which these independent simulation tools not supporting High Level Architecture (HLA) were tightly coupled and finely synchronized. As a case study, a VANET-based traffic information system was demonstrated based on a real road network and real traffic data. The experiment results showed that the simulation framework was well integrated. The simulation framework designed in this study is expected to contribute to developing the environment to experiment a wide range of VANET applications.
MPEG-21 has identified the need fur Event Reporting in its vision for an interoperable multimedia framework. Event Reporting is required within the MPEG-21 multimedia framework in order to provide a standardized means for sharing information about Events amongst Peers and Users. Such Events relate to Digital Items and/or Peers that interact with them. Arising from an each Event, there is the opportunity to describe what occurred. However, there are a number of difficulties in providing an accurate report about an Event. Different observers of the Event may have vastly different perspectives, needs, and focuses. They may emphasize certain elements to the detriment of others, or they may describe an Event in a way that others may find confusing. In this paper, we design how to express Event Reporting message structure and system architecture in compliance with ISO/IEC 21000-15. And we implement the system for MPEG-21 Event Reporting service.
